Ella Hilltop Guest House

Fantastic Stay at Ella Hilltop Guesthouse We stayed at Ella Hilltop Guesthouse for two nights and absolutely loved it. The location is perfect—just 140m from Ella’s main street—yet it feels like a peaceful retreat due to its hillside setting. Our double room had a separate bathroom and shower, and we shared a balcony with the other rooms on our floor, which offered great views over the surrounding hillside. The staff were exceptional—super helpful and friendly. They even assisted us with our luggage up and down the stairs, which was much appreciated. The laundry service was efficient, with our clothes returned fresh, clean, and neatly folded. Overall, it’s a fantastic spot that strikes the perfect balance between convenience and tranquility. Highly recommended!

Great place to stay for short stay. It is very close to the center of Ella, everything is reachable by foot, however this place is on a very steep road. The room is very basic, the bathroom could have been cleaned way better and some update would be also necessary. The view from the rooftop and the breakfast area are simply breathtaking. The owner of the place is super kind and helpful, so I can highly recommend this place

What an amazing place to stay here in Ella. Wonderful view and so clean, with lovely staff. The breakfast was great and location so handy from the main street.|There is a steep hill up to the guest house, but it takes less than 5 minutes. The roof bar is a fabulous bonus.|We would definitely stay here again!

Amazing view for breakfast which was huge, we had the freshest juicy avocado on the fruit plate. The hosts are really helpful and speak perfect English. We used their laundry service which was ready the next day. Location is excellent, quiet but very close to the high street (up a steep hill). A good stay.

Service is top tier. Host is very very helpful helping you with the tiniest of request. The helpers are also equally as helpful. They all speak English so there won’t be any communication barrier should you decide to stay here. The location is also 3 mins from Ella Railway station and you can get here by walking or by the tuk tuk. There’s also a great viewpoint overlooking Ella Rock and Adam’s Peak at the top floor. Overall I would recommend Ella Hilltop Guest House to anyone looking for a place to stay in Ella

Great for solo or group budget travel for short stay. The location was great walking distance to the town centre of Ella. A great explanation of nearby sightseeing spots by the lady manager when I checked in. The staff were very friendly. I thought it was a little bit pricey for a budget stay, however maybe these are the prices in Ella aimed at tourists. The views while eating breakfast is great as well. Overall a decent experience

Very nice place with very friendly staff. The woman that runs it gave us a really good map and suggestions of what and how we should see and do things. Her english was very good. Very much appreciated. The view from the hotel was spectacular. You can see Little Adams Peak. From Ella main road there is a quite steep road that you have to walk up or take a tuktuk. Our minivan just made it up there. But it is worth it. Location is great.

Great accomodation with amazing views and warm hospitality and service. Rooms very comfy, clean and spacious. Breakfast was amazing and the view is to die for. Best part of stay is the staffs and their hospitality.
