My experience was average at best and closer to disappointing.
Breakfast was good; however, the restaurant staff appeared inexperienced and lacked sufficient knowledge, which gave the impression that many of them were new.
The spa experience was particularly poor. There is a major issue with crowd flow in the changing rooms, creating a chaotic and stressful environment. It is impossible to change at a calm pace, as you constantly feel rushed. Guests are not informed that additional showers and lockers are located further inside the changing area. On top of that, two lockers near the entrance were malfunctioning, and my boots got stuck inside, requiring assistance from the spa staff.
One of the saunas was closed, which caused the remaining spa areas (including the sauna near the brygga) to become overcrowded. When the closed sauna eventually reopened, there was no water in the showers or sinks, the floors were dirty, and the sauna quickly became overcrowded again.
I came to the spa to relax and enjoy a calm environment, but instead I felt overwhelmed by chaos, poor organization, and facilities that either did not work properly or did not work at all. I would not recommend visiting again.
The hotel has a beautiful and sophisticated design, but the level of service is well below an acceptable standard.
