Enjoying Pink Mama, we thought we’d enjoy this spot. And we did, but most dishes needed a bit more salt. The space is stunning and we got a table right away for lunch around noon on a Tuesday. To drink, we enjoyed the Bellini Spritz, which is 10 Euros and a healthy pour. To eat, we shared the burrata, the zucchini, the melon, and the prosciutto. Everything was good, but again, needed salt to bring out the flavors.

Super friendly! Great food. Love the cozy vibe. A nice alternative to Verjus when you can’t get a reservation there. We went during the holiday set menu week. Solid menu. Things change all the time.

Hmm tough review. Everyone says it’s great…. Came for my bday with reservations. One look at the menu when we arrived and we were trying to figure out a way to leave. We knew it wasn’t going to be great. It’s a small place, music a bit too loud. Nice friendly staff who speaks English. Boring fried chicken. Nothing interesting on the desert menu. Expensive for the level of cuisine. Nothing wowed or impressed us. Too bad.

Google
Delicious brunch menu here. We had the scrambled eggs and trout, the pancakes and fried chicken. The pancakes were probably the best item, while the fried chicken was good, it could have used more flavor in the batter. The ranch with the fried chicken reminded us of home in Texas :)

Delicious food, great service. Suggested rose wine paired very well with Monkfish tempura.

Google
This is more a New American restaurant than French restaurant to me. Surrounding with all kind of tourist I feel like I’m back into US. Food is good but nothing really amaze. Portion is small. For example €10 fried chicken is 3 medium size pieces. When you have a large party like us (more than 6) they required minimum €60 per head on spending. If we have a private room or special tastings menu then I will be more happy to pay for that. This case we need to order more wine and food in order to fulfill the bill. This is not a local French restaurant.

Google
Snug and romantic as promised! The dining experience was a delight, with the set menu ordered in the beginning, you then have the lovely experience of eating through the courses, which arrive in a good timing and have a nice flow that allows you to simply enjoy the night. The food was delicious, the dishes felt original and there was always a little twist that made us go: ooh. If you crave that feeling when eating out, I'd recommend Ellsworth. Definitely make a reservation :)

Google
Great spot to try some French & American fusion. They are using all ingredients from a farm near Paris, which requires the chef to be creative and come up with new dishes based on produce availability! Everything I’ve tried was delicious and I loved how the flavours worked together. Look forward to trying more of their dishes!

Yelp
From an American couple is this trendy restaurant with a simple menu that changes. There are three options for a starter, a main, and a dessert and the price goes up the more dishes you order. To start, I got orange wine and a pear salad. Rissoto was my main and some sort of fig dessert. I enjoyed my food but the Rissoto was more dry than I'd like it. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.

Yelp
One of the best meals we had in Paris. Make sure to get reservations. Holy smokes the fried chicken was INSANE. everything was so good. Staff were so incredibly kind.

Yelp
Ellsworth is a small but warm and welcoming place . We went for the New Years Eve prix fixe menu with wine pairings. While not inexpensive at $150 per person(including wines) , it was worth every penny. Each course was prepared and presented perfectly. The wines chosen for each course went perfectly with food. The servers were charming and attentive. One of the better meals of my life. I will definitely return on my next visit to Paris.

Yelp
My husband and I visited Ellsworth on our first trip to Paris and absolutely loved it. From the atmosphere to the food and the staff it was a wonderful experience. Would definitely go back if we are ever in Paris again!

Yelp
Excellent small plates. Fried chicken bites were sooo good. Everything we had was delicious. Our waiter was so great, friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Yelp
Just got back from a week of eating through several European countries. The Ellsworth was in our top 2 favorites. We loved that it was small and tucked away. The staff was so warm and seemed to love their jobs. They make perfect wine and food recommendations and even put a candle on our daughter's dessert for her birthday. We will definitely make this one of our first stopes when we are back in Paris.

Yelp
Splendid evening with dear friends in this tiny gem hidden in Paris. Stay alert as you might walk right by and that would be a shame. The buttermilk fried chicken is rather outstanding!

Yelp
Located near the Louvre and the Palais Royal, this street has a number of good restaurants. On our way to Ellsworth, there was a serious line for what looked like a ramen place. Ramen in Paris? I'd have to try that on my next trip. We initially came here, because I was enticed by the fried chicken appetizer. It was good, but that was not the star of the meal. I got the Skate Wing and my hubby got the Risotto. My fish was delightful, but my husband's risotto was absolutely sinful. I couldn't get enough of the sweet corn texture and black truffle aroma and flavor of the risotto. I was hoping to practice my French, but the restaurant catered well towards English speakers. We were flanked on both sides by Americans from California and New York, who also enjoyed the risotto. It's always fun to travel halfway across the globe, to ironically end up sitting next to people who are visiting from the same country. Cheers!

Yelp
Amazing food, great ambiance and top notch service. Staff made us feel welcome and at home. Ellsworth is a must visit if you're in town. We were on vacation and this restaurant came highly recommended and did not disappoint.

Yelp
$$$ tasty upscale spot if you're looking for a wide variety of different and unique dishes. The venison meat pie was delicious and surprised us. But the MVP...the fried chicken! It was amazing... perfectly fried with ranch dressing. I only wish there was more of it or a larger piece in sandwich form. I believe they only had ice cream for dessert but hopefully they will have more options in the future. English speaking and friendly.

Yelp
Tips: 1) Make a reservation - the word is out about this place 2) Don't order more than 2 dishes per person - the portions are generous 3) The fried chicken - eat it - even if you're not a fried chicken aficionado like myself who was stunned to find such good fried chicken in Paris 4) Wine by the glass fairly decently priced - try the moscato

Yelp
I was referred here by a couple of friends who swore that Ellsworth was home of the best fried chicken they'd ever had. This was a ballsy claim, and definitely piqued my interest. I've had my fair share of a nicely battered, fried bird in the American south, Los Angeles, NYC and Seoul. I had no real intention of seeking out American food while in Paris but I've been pleasantly surprised so far. Ellsworth lives up to the hype of having excellent fried chicken. It is made to order crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside and perfectly flavored. 4 stars only for the size of the serving: I was a little surprised to get four very small chicken bites for €11, not sure why I was expecting it to be a meal portion (a whole breast or a filet at least??) but the joke was on me. I'm not so cheap that I let it ruin the experience but others may be put off by this smaller than appetizer sized serving; especially since it's on the regular menu along with entrees. While it's not exactly the best fried chicken I've ever had, it is quite good. Don't expect to be satiated afterward, though.

Yelp
I'd give this place 3.5 stars for brunch - I haven't yet tried this for dinner. After living in France for a year, I was craving some American brunch, so this place fit the bill, but if you're traveling from the States, you can probably skip this place for brunch unless you're a huge fried chicken fan. Other than the fried chicken, I thought the other dishes were okay - they were great, but nothing to write home about and probably nothing that left me craving for more or wanting to come back on another trip to Paris. Make reservations ahead of time - it's easy to do so online, and come with 4+ for brunch so that you can share a lot of things. The space is not huge but it's configured in a way where if you had 6 or 8 people you'd be fine. Ricotta Doughnuts, Whey Caramel, Vanilla (7€) - Not the healthiest choice on the menu but if you have 4 people to share with, you can each have 2 and it's not quite so bad. I liked these little donuts - they were freshly fried and tasty. My husband didn't really care for these as much. French Toast, Pears, Toasted Almonds, Crème Diplomate (12€) - The French call it pain perdu and it's usually found on dessert menus, but I guess it's an American thing to turn dessert into breakfast ;) They actually call this French Toast on the English menu, and it was really good although a little small for the price that you pay for 2 small pieces of French Toast. It was enough to satisfy my sweet tooth for brunch, and it was light, fluffy, and the pears and the creme patisserie went really well with this. I wouldn't get this alone for a meal since it's a bit like dessert. It's best shared with 4 people. Fried Chicken, Pickles, Cabbage, Buttermilk (12€) - This dish is what makes Ellsworth famous for brunch and it lives up to the hype. We almost ordered only one of these for the table of 4, but we were glad the waitress told us that wasn't enough, and to get 2 for 4 people -- it was a smart move. The chicken was perfectly coated, perfectly fried, and really moist and juicy inside - one of the best fried chicken I've had. You can't come here and not get this. I was a little disappointed that some of the other pictures on Instagram showed this served with biscuits - ours didn't have anything except a buttermilk ranch sauce, which was the perfect dipping sauce for the chicken. But regardless, this was the star of the meal. Pork Belly, Carotte With Orange, Cured Egg Yolk (14€) - I would skip this - I wasn't impressed at all with this. The pork belly was really fatty and the skin on top wasn't very crispy. The portion was also tiny. There weren't a ton of other savory options on the menu, so we got this, but to be honest, I wish we had gotten something else instead. All in all, decent for an American brunch if that's what you're in the mood for, or if you really love fried chicken. If you're only in Paris for a few days and visiting from a big city like San Francisco or New York, where brunch places are plentiful, you can probably skip this place. The quality of the food is good, the fried chicken is amazing, but you can get similar things in the States. 3.5 stars from me - loved the fried chicken, but hit-or-miss on some other dishes.

Yelp
This place seemed liked a must-go based on the reviews and remarks online. My wife and I ordered the fried chicken, Bloody Mary, and fresh orange juice. -fried chicken was decent. Would have liked the crust to be more crispy, but it and the accompanying buttermilk ranch were quite flavorful. -can't tell you about the drinks because they never showed up. Our check arrived at the end with the drinks on it and the server seemed confused when we told her we never received them. -food from the kitchen seemed to be coming out in random order. Our two chicken dishes arrived before the table next to us, who had also ordered two chicken plates before us. -there seemed to be something growing on my silverware that was given to me (picture attached). In summary, the restaurant did not meet expectations. We were confused why the reviews were red hot. Hopefully our experience was just a mysterious outlier.

Yelp
Ellsworth is a great break from a week of French bistro. We were here for lunch - started off with some super fresh oysters, had the legendary fried chicken dish, and had the opportunity to meet the owners from Texas!

Yelp
These little guys were very tasty, well seasoned and filling, but they were a little dry and the breading came off as soon as you cut into them. The tea cups were super cute and very delicate. I enjoyed the bread especially the homemade butter. Service was amazing considering there was only two of them working not including the chef. Space was very small.

Yelp
Love this place!! (As well as it's sister restaurant but that's for another review). If I lived in Paris, I'd come here all the time and considering we visited twice during our week long stay in the city, you know we love it here!! A cute little place, can be cramped for some but you are in Paris, where lots of places are small-ish compared to in the States but I love the windows, atmosphere and friendly staff. The highlights of our first visit was the fried chicken and truffle ravioli w/ egg and almond cake with lavender ice cream. I can't believe that fried chicken (breast, not dark meat)... it was so good : crispy outside and juicy inside and it's NOT greasy (I touched the plate when we were done and could only feel very very little grease and had to look closely to see the residue). The ravioli totally blown us away too... will definitely eat it all day everyday!! Everything from the truffle, egg, dough and green beans on the bottom just work so perfectly together. Second visit was on a whim as we got home late and wanted a late night bite and we were so glad they took us even during a busy evening. This time we sat at the bar and it was a different experience as we got to chat with the bartenders!! This is also when they switched up the menu a little bit and the squash fondue was the most memorable. They baked the squash first and cut off the top and pour a mixture of cheese in the middle!! Believe it or not, it is probably one of the most memorable dishes we've had in Paris and we ate at lots of good places, including Michelin starred restaurants...

Yelp
Chicken with buttermilk ranch was really good for an appetizer. I would say a must try. We also had the duck and gnocchi which were also amazing as well. The Chef is from Boston, MA and delivers a good selection for the menu.

Yelp
We were super lucky to snag a table at Ellsworth without a reservation. The best way I can describe the food at Ellsworth is it's what I imagine chefs make on the show Top Chef -- very creative and delicious! The dishes are made tapas style and fit for sharing. Based on our server's recommendation we had 4 dishes: endive salad, slow cooked egg, braised beef cheek and fried chicken. The food was all so so good! My least favorite if I had to pick was the endive salad which was a bit too bitter, but we ate it all anyway. Finally, the malt ice cream was the perfect way to end a great meal. Also, the restaurant is headed by two American expat chefs and thus they have English menus and servers, which was helpful.

Yelp
The food at Ellsworth was so good that we ate here twice during our last trip to Paris! Reservations are suggested since there aren't a ton of tables, but we lucked out during our first visit without reservations. We returned two nights later and weren't as lucky, but we ended up finding three seats at the bar. We were tempted to have brunch here as well, but who visits the same restaurant three times on a five day trip?!?! Tempting, but we forced ourselves to explore different restaurants in Paris. The food at Ellsworth is a variety of small plates and tapas. If you speak no French, you will be relieved to see that the menu is written in French and English and most of the waiters speak English. The kitchen uses seasonal ingredients so the menu changes often. As others mentioned, the buttermilk fried chicken is insanely good!!! The crispy and juicy chicken is paired with pickles, cabbage, and a buttermilk dressing. We enjoyed the dish so much that we ordered two plates on both of our visits. We also enjoyed the beet salad, padron peppers, scallops, pork and several other innovative dishes, but the fried chicken was the most memorable dish on the menu.

Yelp
Beaming from my meal at Verjus earlier in the week, I was looking forward to trying its sister restaurant Ellsworth. Unfortunately, this did not live up to the hype. For appetizers, the mussels had a nice marination but were served as a cold dish which, in my opinion, would have been better hot. The fried chicken was good but nothing special. For the main course, we shared the lobster for two. It came with a few extra side dishes (onions, lobster bean dish) which was decent in flavor but unfortunately not enough to salvage the entire meal. For this price point, you can surely find better options in the area.

Yelp
This place was good once we found it. Had the endive salad with squash which had a great dressing. Also had the Brussels sprouts with the mushroom broth which was pretty good. Then, the fried chicken and pickles were outstanding. The pickles were homemade and chicken was extremely crispy with the buttermilk sauce. Finally, the cheese with truffle. It took 45 minutes to make which is when you know it's good. It was extremely strong but the honey was a nice touch that made it lighter. It was really great with the bread but just so much cheese! I couldn't believe it. Don't forget to check out my profile!

Yelp
Our meal at Ellsworth was the best of our trip--we will remember it fondly for the rest of our lives. All three courses and the wine were on point. Servers were friendly and knowledgeable. The restaurant is quaint and comfortable. It was the perfect night. We will definitely return on our next trip.

Yelp
Definitely grab a reservation if you plan on going a little later. We were lucky and got seating at the bar. The place is a little tight for larger parties, but it was just the two of us, so we were fine. The fried chicken was delicious and well seasoned (pretty much just salt). Nothing really else to say about it. Our other entree was a pork chop. It was cooked a little more medium rare than I liked, but we tried it anyway. It was okay. The carrots, and radishes were a good complement to the seared pork. The place is worth a try.

Yelp
Ellsworth was one of the places I most looked forward to trying during our France trip. The restaurant front is pretty narrow and the sign isn't completely obvious. If we didn't know what we were looking for, we may have walked by it. We made reservations a couple weeks ahead of time for shortly after they opened for dinner service. Reservations seem to be essential as every table was full by the time we finished dinner and it seemed most people had reservations too. The menu is designed to share various dishes among the table. We ordered the heirloom tomato salad and veal sweetbreads to share. We also each ordered a plate of the fried chicken for ourselves. I loved the heirloom tomato salad. Ellsworth's take on the classic tomato and mozzarella salad had a delicious twist with some bread crumbs that gave it a different texture than expected. Genius. The veal sweetbread was the only dish we ordered that missed the mark for me. To be honest, I'm still not exactly sure what it was. It tasted okay but the texture was off and I couldn't get past it. I wouldn't get it again. The fried chicken was as good as expected. Who knew I'd find great fried chicken in Paris? Overall the menu, food, atmosphere, and service were impressive. The staff all spoke perfect English and provided an English menu. I almost felt like I was back in Portland, Oregon with the casual, inventive atmosphere. I'd absolutely recommend eating here but you'll probably want to get a reservation ahead of time. 4 stars.

Yelp
By far one of my favorite meals in Paris. This place was recommended by one of my friends on the trip who had previously come here with his girlfriend. I would highly recommend making a reservation. For our group of 4, they recommended order 6-8 dishes total. It's very tapas-stype. The fried chicken was absolutely amazing along with the steak tartare with bone marrow. The restaurant is very cute and quaint, and especially at night, has a very romantic feel to it. We had excellent service speaking English and thoroughly enjoyed all the dishes we had here.
google avatar

Yelp
Unbelievable meal. This was a last minute decision for us based on the recommendation of an expat bartender down the street who happened to know the owners. It was our best meal in pairs, if not in all of Europe. They have an amazing selection of different meats and other proteins. The staff is very kind and hospitable ( a welcome change form most of Paris). The place is rather small, so get a reservation of come early. We sat at the bar next to another American couple who enjoyed their experience as much as we did. Eat here.

Yelp
Wow, I just had the best meal in several trips to Paris. I had checked Yelp while having drinks at Caveau around the corner and saw Ellsworth was very highly rated. Unfortunately there were no reservations. Luckily there was a spot at the bar when I passed by a few minutes later. I started with a glass of wine that Benedict recommended and it was perfect. So things were off to a great start already. It got better once the squash pierogies arrived. Even with the duck component helpfully removed for this non-carnivore, it was outstanding. With kabocha squash, creme fraiche and sage, these may not be the pierogies you grandmother made, but they are outstanding! The creme fraiche is a nice complement to the squash and a bit less sour than sour cream in the US. It all works together quite well. My next dish, the cepes or mushrooms, was also exceptionally good! The menu said they are cooked over olive coals and served with coffee-infused cream. I didn't think it tasted like coffee, but I did think it was delicious. If I had a bowl of that cream, I'd eat the whole thing. The two dishes together were enough for a full meal for one. The warm, crusty bread is also a treat. A seasonal pumpkin mousse is obviously the work of a skilled chef. The pumpkin is mixed with marscapone to form a creamy mousse, which is combined with rum and espresso crumbles. The combination is submlimely good. This week in Paris has been my best foodwise and Ellsworth was definitely the icing on the cake, so to speak. I'm thrilled that I had such an excellent meal and that I can actually recommend a great place for friends visiting the City of Light. Thanks for excellent service and a totally wonderful meal!

Yelp
Tasty! I really liked this place. My friend recommended it and we came for dinner on a Friday at 7pm. We made reservations, which was probably a good idea since the place was actually pretty packed pretty shortly after 7pm. Ellsworth serves of New American dishes tapas style. We split six dishes (including a dessert) amongst 3 people, and I thought that was a pretty reasonable portion size. It's a really nice casual place to have an enjoyable meal with good company. We got: salad of cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, fried sourdough and red onion, caramelized young fennel with anchovy butter and herbed buttercrumbs, new potatoes with smoked creme fraiche and charred leeks, fried chicken with cucumber pickles, cabbage, and buttermilk, porchetta with pea vines, citrus-cured trout with house yogurt, baby beets, horseradish, and malt ice cream with chocolate sorbet, espresso espuma, and milk crumbs for dessert. I found all the dishes to be really elegantly prepared visually and taste wise. Each one was a nice balance of unique flavors that were quite well executed. None of the dishes stand out to be as a memorable, wow that was so amazing I'm dying to go back, but I thought each dish was well executed and tasty. The fried chicken was probably my favorite dish -- not your typical American fried chicken. Outside looked like the texture of a karaage, but the interior was the deliciously flavors of American fried chicken. It was pretty great. Service is English friendly, and pretty fast as well. tldr; kind of an American style tapas bar serving up some really creative, elegantly prepared dishes.

Yelp
This was a nice little restaurant close to our Home Away, the Pork was delicious and the ice cream desert amazing ,, also the green beans !

Yelp
At first I felt kinda lame booking our first meal in Paris at a French restaurant with an American chef, but seriously, no regrets. Everything was delicious and the ambience was very cozy (place only sat about 40 ppl). I definitely recommend you make reservations, which can easily be done online. Also, Ina Garten and her husband Jeffrey were there and we were lucky enough to have them seated next to us. Hearing her soothing Barefoot Contessa voice added to the relaxing and wonderful dining experience. WINTER 2016 MENU Food Reviews (recommend 3 dishes for 2 ppl): Foie Gras - 5/5, I am obsessed with foie gras and I knew I had to have it while in France. The best one I had before this was the Liholiho foie gras in SF and this was just as good, if not better. It had the classic buttery taste but salted. Tasted great with the jam. Salsify with Poached Egg - 3/5, had to google what salsify was. It's like a carrot? I didn't really get this dish. Kinda felt like it wasn't worth the price tag. Scallops - 4/5, cooked well, not over done or over salted. Served with bits of bacon and butter Fried Chicken - 4/5, the breading was delicious and crispy, and the chicken moist, the standout sauce and side of winter vegetables was the most memorable

Yelp
This was a place we took a chance on for a birthday dinner for a fried chicken foodie... 100% best fried chicken in Paris... along with everything else we had on the menu. You definitely cannot go wrong heading to this place unless you don't make a reservation, it's small, with 12 tables and a small bar. If you have no reservation you might miss out on one of the best meals AND service in Paris. The menu is creative, thoughtful, and the chef knows his stuff. This will be a regular stop when in Paris for sure, it was an amazing culinary experience with service to match, which, if you have been to Paris, you know are not one in the same!

Yelp
This was probably my favorite meal in a week of mostly very good to great dining experiences in Paris. Make a reservation--we made it online, but between the french website and the two step process things got a little sideways for us. I did take screen shots of the confirmation just in case and I was glad I did. When we arrived, they had no record of it. I showed them the phone and they accommodated us within minutes. We also could've eaten at the bar which was also available. Crisis averted; on to the experience. Ellsworth is tapas style-there were maybe 8 items on the menu and for a couple they advise ordering 4-5 dishes. We started with 4; added another halfway through and still had desert too :) It was that good. They seem to be known for their fried chicken, so we obviously chose that--and got it again for seconds too. We also had a kale and egg dish (not even sure what exactly it was but it was DELICIOUS); an endive salad, and beet root and goat cheese (also a first for me and I loved it). All were excellent. For desert it was the panna catta hands down. All of the staff's English was better than our French so no problem with communicating. Team service was spot on--checking on us and how we were doing and what we needed, but not intrusive. From beginning to end, and from food to service and ambiance Ellsworth was 5 stars across the board. And bonus points--one of the few restaurants in Paris that had American Bourbon that was not Jack Daniels. Elijah Craig 12 year aged did the trick. The choices in Paris on where to eat can be overwhelming. One way to simplify the process is to make Ellsworth one of your go to's and forget about it.

Yelp
We were fortunate be referred to them by a phone call made by the lovely bartender at Verjus when it seemed there was not a seat to be had ANYWHERE in town that night. We sat at the bar- fun if you are in a socializing mood- and want to spy on the dishes before you order. YES, the fried chicken is all that! We ordered 3 plates and a dessert and found that was adequate for a light meal. Don't come here if you are ravenous though is my advice. Everything is fresh as can be and crafted with discretion. Perfect for a meal before you go out dancing or a romantic night in. PS DO make a reservation well in advance!

Yelp
Fun restaurant near the Louvre. Reservations are recommended. Didn't know that. We ate at the bar which was fine. Simple Menu. You can get an entree ,main course and dessert for 26 euros. Or buy one of those items separately. Good service. They go all out on the wine. Smelling and spitting in the sink.

Yelp
I made reservations for brunch at 11:30 am on Sunday about a week in advance through their online reservation system. I called around 11:15 am to let them know I was running about 10 min late and they were very accommodating. Located really close to the Pyramides metro stop, Ellsworth is a cozy yet very simple little place. There's a bar area for people who didn't make reservations. At 11:40 am they were busy but still had 2-3 tables! The plates here are shareable portions so for two people, the waitress suggested we order 3-4 plates. Me being me, I knew what I was going to order way in advance. Our brunch for two came out to 70€ which I thought was on the pricier side. The service was attentive but somewhat careless. We had to ask for water a few times, for them to take our food order 10 min after we got our fresh orange juices, and for silverware after our first dish was served. Being shareable portions, they bring food in rounds. In total we ordered two orange juices for 4€ each, a latte, and four plates including the chilaquiles, eggs Benedict, pancakes with bacon jam, and fried chicken, and a dessert to finish it off. The food was good but portions were small, so definitely order 3-4 for two people as recommended. The chilaquiles was delicious but needs more avocado for 14€. The eggs Benedict was the best I've ever tasted!! I found the portion for this really small. The fried chicken was good, the chicken itself was seasoned perfectly. I just wish the batter would stick. It came with a light mustard slaw which was delicious. The bacon jam pancakes were really delicious. The orange juice was good but for 4€, not worth it. It was freshly squeezed but not very pulpy. It came with ice which I found weird. The latte was good but it was honestly the ugliest latte I've ever seen. The dessert was phenomenal! We got the malt ice cream which came with chocolate sorbet, an espresso cream, and milk crumbs. It was so good. The sorbet was thick and heavenly. I would definitely come back here to try their dinner menu. My boyfriend really enjoyed the good food and we were both pleased that this place was worth the hype. He was, however, the only French person dining. They lose a star for weird service.

Last year we went to Verjus and had their fried chicken and fell in love with it! This year we were pleasantly surprised that they have a restaurant dedicated to tapas. We went with 3 other friends and ordered a variety of dishes. We really went for the fried chicken but ordered more. The fried chicken is pretty good, though I feel like it is tad bit salty. We also had the lamb ragu, cerviche and pork belly,). My friends enjoyed their meal!

Yelp
My girlfriends and I had planned out every other meal while we were in Paris but ate here on a whim after a full day. This ended up being my absolute surprise favorite meal in Paris. Everything was so seasonal and fresh without being overbearing. We showed up without a reservation on a Monday night at 8 and were seated almost immediately. The food and drink recommendations from the waitress were amazing. Between the 3 of us we had 6 dishes, a dessert, and a bottle of wine. Dinner came out to around $50pp and we were completely satisfied. The zucchini and stracciatella, baby pumpkin, charcoal scallops, and fried shrimps are still on my mind! Each dish was so perfect I could have cried. Seriously try all the things if you can!!

Yelp
We went with a group for a meal and had a great time ordering several of the dishes, but the fried chicken was definitely the best among them. Incidentally, the power went out for the entire street where Ellsworth was situated so we had an unexpectedly more intimate atmosphere than we anticipated -- the desserts were also great and worth getting

Yelp
Loved this place. Great food, mellow vibe. Walked in solo at 930pm on a fri and got a seat. Highly recommend.

Yelp
This restaurant was recommended by the owner's sister's best friend...I know, that's a mouthful! She found out I was going to Paris and told me about this restaurant and it's sister property. Because of the late dare, I was only able to get a reservation at 9:30 on Saturday night. My original reservation for three grew to five and they were able to confirm the new party easily. Not knowing what to expect, we ordered several things to share. We started with the beef cheeks which came in the most interesting presentation I've ever seen, like a slice out of a loaf of bread. It had good flavor but was cold. The next dish was the burrata figs. From the very first bite, it was bursting with flavor. We immediately ordered a second one. Then came the buttermilk fried chicken. So I typically avoid ordering chicken in restaurants but I'm a sucker for fried chicken. This has to be the most delicious, juicy fried chicken I've ever had, made more delicious by the buttermilk dressing to dip it in. Again, we immediately ordered a second plate. Next up was the beef tartare. Now, you can get tartare everywhere in Paris and most are decent. This tartare was special! I could have eaten the whole dish myself. It had the right anoint of everything. The next dish was the risotto with bone marrow. Very tasty but the stars of the show were the burrata, fried chicken and tartare. Can't wait to come back again.

Yelp
This is a really good place for a small-plates brunch. We made reservations (online) for a 1pm meal on a Sunday. We ordered 3 plates to share between two of us, which ended up being perfect because we were hungry, but not famished. The buttermilk fried chicken was actually very good (and boneless, which makes it easy to eat...but doesn't that make it more of a chicken tender?). We also had the lamb meatballs in a tomato sauce, which was nice and light. My favorite was the yeast waffle with foie gras. I love me a savory waffle and it was nice and crispy. All in all, a pretty solid meal with good flavors!

Yelp
This place is absolutely stunning. From the interior design to the ceramics. From the food to the friendly service. Everyone provided a lot of smiles and happy faces - and their job was done with a lot of care, love and integrity. Big plus. The place is famous throughout the worldwide hipster population, and Ellsworth is a perfect match between Williamsburg, Shoreditch, Copenhagen and Paris. The brunch was sublime. Freshly squeezed orange juice is always a winner, while my eggs benedict were perfect. One of the best ones I have ever eaten. In a need of food? Skip a bistro or two and try the new Parisian eateries - including Ellsworth.

Yelp
From the moment you walk through the door you know you're in for a premium experience. We couldn't even get into the restaurant space but we stubbornly waited for a seat at the bar, and I am so glad that we did! The brunch here was one of the best I've ever had - and I am picky about brunch. I wanted to eat absolutely everything on the menu, and luckily they're prepared for that, as they told us that everything was designed to be shared. Shareable brunch plates - what an amazing idea!! Our food was mindblowingly delicious - all the flavours and textures were new and interesting, but all paired together beautifully. The coffee was great as well. I want to go back already!!

Yelp
This place is quaint and a bit hard to find, it was a bit too cozy for my liking but I enjoyed the experience. The waiter/waitress recommended we (3 friends) choose six things from the menu as it was a tapas style atmosphere. We were there for the experience and the high ratings but just left more hungry. Although some of it was delicious, other parts were lacking. The Heirloom Tomato Salad, which f/ watermelon Ricotta and basil was delicious but because I was splitting it with 2 other people, I was left wanting more. The bone marrow platter could've stayed in or on the pig they got it from, that did absolutely nothing for my stomach or my taste buds. The fried chicken was scrumptious, piping hot and moist. The tuna, cucumber and seaweed was refreshing and the duck breast was also cooked well but just not enough. I don't know if it was the excessive walking or just excitement to try new things but we ended up at a creperie after we left here because we just weren't full. The staff was friendly and a bit helpful, the space was small and I kept getting bumped as people walked by.

Yelp
Excellent food and service. Tapas style dishes and we thought all four we ordered were very tasty. We had the green beans, fried chicken, linguini and beet salad. I recommend them all. We finished with two desserts: ice cream and walnut cake. Highly recommend either. We reserved online via their website 3 hours prior on a Monday

Yelp
AH-MAZINGG. The wait staff here at this restaurant is extremely friendly and great. We came at the perfect time because two seats at the bar just opened up and we were able to sit there. If those seats hadn't opened up, we basically wouldn't have been able to get a table unless we had reservations so I highly recommend making reservations because you're definitely going to want to hit this spot up for brunch/lunch in Paris. The waiter recommended three plates for the two of us to share, so we ordered the fried chicken, french toast, and scrambled eggs. I honestly didn't know which plate was better. Probably one of the top meals that I've had during my stay! The french toast had the perfect balance of sweetness-- not too sweet or overpowering. The fried chicken was super moist, yet crispy, AND the homemade pickles had just the right amount of vinegary-ness. Lastly, the scrambled eggs were super creamy and essentially melted in your mouth. We also ordered mimosas which were essentially champagne with a space of fresh squeezed orange juice (which in america, the ratio is usually the other way around). You just can't get a place better than this!
