We had a wonderful stay! The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the garden was so cute—with seating where you can enjoy your breakfast outdoors. The breakfast was delicious, and the staff were warm and welcoming. Great value for the price! It’s also conveniently close to downtown Napa and the outlet mall. My husband and I had a great time here!

My daughter and I stayed here for three nights and I would definitely stay here again. The beds were so comfortable and the rooms were nicely appointed. Breakfast while not gourmet was definitely satisfactory. Its an easy walk to town through a very pretty residential area. My only recommendation is request an upper floor. The first floor rooms all open out into the lounge/breakfast area.

This place is really nice. There is a good vibe with pleasant aroma once you enter the hotel. The lobby area is well decorated with ambient lighting. The staff were courteous and helpful. The room was clean and had most of the basic amenities and even had wine glasses. Our room was right next to the breakfast area so it was easy in the morning. Breakfast time was from 8am so we did not have to worry about early morning noises. The morning breakfast was good and included a warm chorizo omelette with bread and croissant. Overall it was a pleasant experience. The place seems safe and comfortable. I would recommend this place.

Rooms and beds are comfortable. Slightly outdated but in a quaint cozy way. Location is perfect; walking distance to downtown Napa. Staff were so friendly and helpful and the breakfast was good. Just wish they had more gluten and dairy free options.

We loved staying at his hotel/Bed & Breakfast. The staff is fantastic, and the location is perfect for enjoying the town of Napa and the available wine tours throughout the valley. It is a small and quaint place that feels like home while you are here. They provided good recommendations for local food and attractions. There are plenty of places to eat nearby, the continental breakfast was nice, and they host a cookie hour every evening. They are currently expanding their property to add more rooms and a larger courtyard which will be awesome. We will definitely stay here when we come back to Napa!

This hotel offers a warm and inviting atmosphere with beautifully designed rooms. Guests can enjoy a delicious hot breakfast in the morning and freshly baked cookies in the evening. Highly recommend—10/10!

Lovely hotel. We only stayed for a night but the service and staff were great. Conveniently located for both on foot for downtown and car to get in and out of Napa.

Yelp
We had wine to pick up, and a dinner reservation at our favorite french restaurant. Tbh, it was election day, and we just wanted to avoid the coverage. Elm House Inn was the perfect hideaway. It is just off 29 and close to downtown, but so quiet. Everything was spotless. Did I mention quiet? The staff is really nice, too.

Yelp
Check Inn Booked a two-night stay thru Southwest.com (i.e., booking.com) for a getaway celebration weekend for ±$300/night and it also came with 8k bonus points. Normally, we'd never pay this much for a hotel, but since it was a special occasion, we decided to splurge, and it was definitely a good idea. The Good: *Fast and friendly check-in *USB™ ports & 120v plugs in the nightstand and alarm clock *Hamilton-Beach® coffee brewer (aka Keurig) in each room *Complimentary breakfast (8 a.m. - 10 a.m.) daily. Make sure to grab a croissant or three, as they were excellent! They also have omelets and waffles cooked-to-order. *Daily (6 p.m. - 7 p.m.) cookie hour! *Bed was surprisingly comfortable, and that's saying something because normally I'm a Princess and the Pea kinda sleeper. *Felt more like staying at an AirBnB than a hotel, as the accommodations are very comfortable and there's a whole setup downstairs for coffee, tea, or just some filtered water to take with you on the road. *Good location that's got good freeway access, near the outlets, and not too far from DT Napa. The Meh: *WiFi wasn't the fastest but did just fine streaming shows. *Shower pressure was just OK. Nothing great, but certainly not the worst we've experienced. *AC/Heater worked fairly well but was kind of a PiTa to set up, and part of the LCD screen was burned out, which made it more difficult. *Faux fireplace with fake candles that didn't work. =/ *Definitely make sure to request a room on the 2nd or 3rd floor, as the first floor rooms are adjacent to the dining area and wouldn't be great for trying to sleep in late. Our room was on the 3rd floor, so we didn't have any noise issues, but just a forewarning. The Ugly: *Pillows are those kind that are much, much too soft. To the point that they might as well not be there. Conclusion: Really nice place to stay but at a price. Just a few too many quibbles for it to get a five-star review from yours truly, but I would still recommend it.

Yelp
My fiancé & I stayed here during our four night stay in Napa. The location is directly off the roundabout which could seem busy but we never heard much traffic noise. The staff was wonderfully kind and even allowed us to switch rooms to their 3rd floor when our first night was interrupted by a noisy bachelorette group above us. Breakfast each morning was delicious. Quick 10-15 minute walk thru beautiful Napa neighborhoods to downtown Napa. Highly recommend staying here!

Yelp
If you are looking for a clean, quaint, affordable, bed and breakfast style place to stay, this is it. We had a great stay and the staff is all very friendly and kind. The location is great to be able to get on the freeway easily to go to the wineries as well. We booked the King room was very spacious and has 2 separates sinks which is nice as well as a mini refrigerator. They have an outdoor jacuzzi that you can access from 8 am - 9 pm. The staff made us custom omelets and waffles every morning along with their continental breakfast. The breakfast is served from 8-10 am so it can get a little loud in the lobby area. It is about a 20-25 minute walk downtown so not located in the heart of downtown Napa but still a great place to stay. Highly recommend!

Yelp
We decided on a last minute trip with some friends over to the Sonoma/Napa region for some Wine tasting. Because it was last minute, I was limited on the options...as you know, this area can be extremely pricey if you don't plan in advance. I decided to book at Elm House Inn using my chase points and I was pretty disappointed in my overall experience. First of all, try to avoid Room 1. It's horribly located, right by the reception desk which is next to the open dining area and on the other side of the room was the parking lot where cars seemed to go in and out more than you'd think. The one good thing about the old AC being super noisy was that it drowned out some of the outside noise but not enough. The Inn itself if pretty old and our room had a musty old smell. There is no sleeping in because complimentary breakfast is served and people are up early right outside the room. The breakfast food was awful. They had an omelette...I noticed the didn't have a kitchen and microwaved everything so the omelette was rubbery. I couldn't eat it so I decided to ask for a bagel (they ran out) and I saw them defrost frozen bagels and after about 10 min they brought out over cooked chewy bagels. I suggest you skip the free breakfast...maybe grab the coffee and head over to the Bouchon bakery in Yountville - only 10 minutes away...so yummy! The Inn itself does not offer 24 hour service and the reception closes at some point every night. I came back to the Inn around 3pm and there was nobody sitting in the front desk. My key card wasn't working, I had a long day of wine tasting and I wasn't able to get back into my room for about 25 minutes, I was pretty livid. I wish they had a back up person who can be on standby if they front desk worker needs to go on a break. When she came back, she didn't apologize and said she was in the restroom (but I saw her on her mobile phone as she walked back in) - it still showed that this place lacked customer service and it's not a place I'd ever recommend. The one thing is the location is quite convenient to the main highway and they offer free filtered water which you can fill up your bottles as much as you want.

Yelp
We spent 2 out of 5 days in Napa here. Quaint, large comfortable room for about $220 a night. Close to downtown Napa and all the wineries and The French Laundry. Good quality free breakfast, hot tub. The quiet neighborhood had large redwood trees. The other 3 days and nights were spent at the most expensive and most luxurious resort style property available in the Napa area. Modesty prevents me from mentioning where. It was a very special occasion.

Yelp
We LOVED this place! This is not like any place we've ever stayed. The aesthetics are cute and personalized for the season. The hospitality is what blew me away. They're kind, and welcoming. We came in early from a long trip and they accommodated us. I'm not saying they can do this each and every time for everyone but they didn't have to do it either. They offer breakfast and also have a hot spa. We stayed in one of the bigger suites to accommodate our family. This had two queen beds and a sofa bed. I liked they had a mini fridge, sink and mirror in the closet. We're definitely staying here every time we come to Napa.

Yelp
Wonderful weekend stay. Very clean and the staff was super wonderful. The chocolate chip cookies were delicious! We will definitely stay here again. Good location and quiet room.

Yelp
Absolutely loved staying here! First of all, it is so cute on the outside and I was so excited as we were pulling up. They have quite a nice parking lot too so parking was no issue, even in our large vehicle. We came in and were greeted by a nice employee who completed our check in process in literally seconds! The lobby was absolutely beautiful and so comfortable! They also had a lovely patio area with seating, fountains and a hot tub, which we did get to use and it was exactly what we needed after a long drive. Our room was nice and comfortable as well as clean. The beds were some of the most comfortable hotel beds I've slept on in years! I would recommend Th Elm House to anyone traveling to Napa, it was perfect for us!

Yelp
The is a charming hotel and well worth the price. The lobby and patio area are cozy and full of inviting decor, like giant wine bottles in the sitting area and beautiful fountains outside. Our room had lovely amenities as well, a decent sized TV, clean and comfy bedding, a mini fridge, two sinks (one inside the bathroom, and one outside), multiple towels soft to the skin, lots of counter space, wine glasses, plenty of outlets strategically placed throughout the room, extra seating, temperature control, and a cute fireplace with electric candles inside, which added a nice touch. Breakfast is complimentary and served until 10am. And the front desk staff was super friendly and helpful. Plus there are two small parking lots for convenience. We loved our stay at Elm House Inn during our weekend in Napa.

Yelp
At the price, we knew weren't getting anything fancy. However, we expected at least a little more. Bed and Breakfast Vibes for sure! Our room was located literally right next to the stairs so we heard every single person that walked up and down them. I'd give them a 5 star for a comfortable bed and the cookies but not sure if we'd stay here again. Maybe if we had a different room, the set up wasn't as awkward, & breakfast was a lil better we would stay again. The breakfast (muffins and fruit) were essentially all gone once we got down there which was only 30 mins after it started. Pros: -Affordable -Comfortable bed -Cookies -Safe Area -we could see the car from the room Cons: -Jacuzzi out of order -Breakfast options were slight -No microwave or fridge in room -Thin walls/doors -Only one chair in the room -Ice was in a mini fridge on the stair case in ziplock bags (ice machine was outside)

Yelp
This small hotel has some plusses. It's close to the highway, has a very nice hot tub and fairly quiet rooms considering it's in a busy urban neighborhood. On the minus side, the breakfast room is too small for the number of guests, management isn't terribly friendly and it's a bit of a drive to the more interesting parts of Napa Valley. On the whole, it's a decent value for the money. I would recommend for price-conscious travelers who aren't too demanding.

Yelp
The Elm House Inn, was our first time staying in a bed and breakfast, but it will not be our last. We usually stay in top hotels (never motels). This place was clean, comfortable, and welcoming. The staff was friendly and attentive, and made us feel more than welcome. The breakfast was good, with your choice of hot, freshly made waffles, toast, fresh fruit and small omelettes. Plus all of the normal cereals and juices. The earlier comments about morning traffic noise were correct, but it didn't negatively impact us. Well worth the amazing price. We will definitely return!

Yelp
I stay in napa 2-3x a week for work. This is one of my favorites B&Bs. Quiet, the beds are comfortable, breakfast is nice, parking is onsite. All around good place.

Yelp
We needed a place to stay a few days. To collect ourselves. We found this at a reasonable rate and upon arrival we're upgraded to a cute little suite with a spa tub. The staff here is so friendly and kind. The breakfast is very good with many options and again the staff was warm and friendly. The room is clean and comfy and large. Loving the stay so far.

Yelp
I must say that the Expedia Reviews and the Google reviews of this hotel certaintly was justifiable. When I first came in Abby was such a wonderful person to meet upon arrival at this hotel. She really made it feel at home in addition to the decor. When I got to the room, the scent is truly unrivaled in a wonderful way. The positive reviews of the bed are indeed true. I truly was able to get a great night of rest after watching such an exciting soccer game between the Napa 1839 FC and the Project 510. Vanessa, along with the other woman working with her, made the continental breakfast so exceptional! There was plenty of choices for all kinds of breakfast types that if you definitely felt satisified. The cookies were a great snack prior to the soccer game! For the price, you get that hometown feeling!

Yelp
I enjoyed our stay here it is in a good location location and not too far away from the wineries where you can Uber to them. Some minor improvements, breakfast was served at 8 AM which is too late. they should change to 7 AM. I guess the owner did not want to get up at 7 AM to cook. Other improvement would be to have slow closing toilet lids. Sure makes a lot of noise when those lids drop. I'm sure the other guest did not appreciate it.

Yelp
Such a cozy place! We stayed here for two nights when we decided to visit Napa. Elm house reminds me of a giant home with multiple rooms. I think there are about 20 odd rooms in the place. We reached quite late and had to call in for the access code. The whole check-in process was smooth. The room itself was spacious and just so comfortable. The common area in the middle of the Inn looks like an extended living room. Very nicely done. There is a backyard with flowers with places to sit and enjoy your breakfast. Our hostess was very accommodating and generously offered coupons for various restaurants and wineries. We are definitely coming back for another stay.

Yelp
This little hotel used to be a Best Western Plus location but has since lost the corporate branding and is now known only by Elm House Inn. It was difficult to get to because of all the construction in the area. There are several detours set up but we made it there eventually. There's a small parking lot outside that fits about 10 cars. We opted to walk to downtown Napa one night because we were afraid that they'd run out of parking spots if we left. It's about a 15 minute walk so it's not a bad location. If it's later in the night the spots are all full so just keep that in mind. The interior is very homey. There's a big wood burning fireplace in the lobby that has seating next to it. The decor kind of reminds me of what you would find at grandma's house. It definitely has that bed and breakfast feel but without being too intimate. There isn't staff available at the front desk 24/7. You will need your room card to get into the building after hours. If for some reason your card stops working or you can't get in, there is a phone outside that you can use to call management and we were told they would pop over to assist. The operations feel very mom and pop in a way. Some of the housekeeping staff were the same as the ones who prepared breakfast. There is free breakfast everyday and consists of pastries, fresh fruit, oatmeal, cereal, and yogurt. There was hot water for tea and coffee available and it is there for most of the day as well. At 6pm they put out hot chocolate and warm cookies which was really nice to enjoy in front of the fireplace. The room was a bit dated looking but clean. The room features a double sink with one outside the bathroom which is convenient. It is a little louder than I would have liked for a few reasons. You can hear the people upstairs walking so maybe request an upper floor if possible. Our window was right near where the construction was happening and that you will most definitely hear in the morning. Some other nice things about this inn is the patio where you can enjoy your breakfast. They also have a small garden in the back if you want some peace and quiet. In the same area there is a hot tub that also has an accessible entrance. For the value, this inn is a nice place to spend a few nights in Napa.

Lilian G.

Yelp
Ok place to stay but there are much better in Napa. We stayed on the first floor and the heater was very noisy when it turned on throughout the night. The shower head was awkwardly placed and splattered all over the bathroom floor. I had to wait 20 minutes for my omelette in the morning. There was only one person and one assistant trying to serve many guests! I will stay somewhere else next time.

Yelp
Friendly staff and so accommodating. Best customer service! The bed was like sleeping on clouds! Cute cozy room!!!!

Yelp
Arrived to the hotel without a way to check in. The hotel communicated nothing with me before arrival. All the information we received is that we were upgraded. Turns out that "upgrade" was no room altogether. No way of contacting ANYONE, so we were left without a place to stay and forced to drive home. 1000% do not and will not recommend.

Yelp
This was the cutest hotel I've ever stayed in. It has the look and feel of a bed and breakfast. Front desk is extremely friendly and helpful. My favorite part was the warm chocolate cookies served nightly at 6 pm. The spacious, clean room and feather beds were great to come back to after touring the wine country all day.

Yelp
We came on a busy weekend to Napa and this was one of the few remaining locations- but it ended up being the perfect spot to stay. We needed to check in a little early due to our 2 year olds nap time, and the front desk went above and beyond to accommodate. The room was spacious, it was easy walking into the little town area, and the bed was comfy! Highly recommend this spot and I would stay here again!

Yelp
What a gem!!! Cute, comfortable, and a great breakfast. I'd come back here anytime I'm in the area.

Yelp
Quaint little inn with a bed-n-breakfast feel. Room and bathroom was very spacious. Mirrors were backlit, which was a nice surprise. Breakfast was wonderful, scrumptious sweet potato waffles, omelet made to order, fresh fruit, beverages. Cece checked us in. She was very helpful and personable. Definitely coming back!

Yelp
Stayed here one night. Awesome spot. Super clean, great staff, and very comfortable rooms. I highly recommend it. (And don't sleep on the 6PM cookies.)

Yelp
What a gem in the heart of Napa! We stayed for 5 days in May and everything about this inn was wonderful. The staff were always friendly and helpful and the thoughtful touches throughout were impressive. Favorites for me were: 1. Large and airy room with a walk-in shower, fireplace with facing couch, windows that open and soft bedding. Lots of pillows! 2. Lovely spa (with changing room and plenty of towels) 3. Beautiful walkways with private seating and gorgeous plantings 4. Extra touches like bagged ice, water dispenser, coffee always available in the dining area and outside heaters which the staff, always on top of things, offered to turn on for us one morning, 5. Choice of how often you want housekeeping-I think this helps the cleaners spend more time doing a thorough job instead of rushing through every room every day. 6. Breakfast with fresh fruit. We don't eat eggs or dairy but they make waffles and omelets for those who do. Some people have complained about the traffic noise. This inn is facing a roundabout but that means the traffic is slow and not too loud. You can always turn on the room fan if it bothers you at night. I am a light sleeper and used to country/quiet and had no problem sleeping. I recommend booking directly with the inn because they seemed to have a better deal for the best rooms. They were quick to follow through with an email and called a week prior to confirm and answer questions.

Yelp
What a sweet little hotel! We stayed here for two nights when we decided to extend our stay in Napa due to a special event. Elm House is a charming, 22-room inn. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and clean. There is a common living room area, and a dining area where breakfast is served. Breakfast is a generous assortment of pastries, bagels, cereals, fruit, and yogurts, and they can prepare fresh eggs for you. Breakfast is included in the cost of the room. The price point here is significantly more reasonable than many of the area hotels, and it's only about a mile to downtown. Very nice, hospitable service. We will be staying here again.

Milton O.

Yelp
Elm house inn was a great choice it had a Bed and breakfast feel to it. Two floors with an elevator. The common area has a fireplace which gives the place a warm comfy feel. The staff kept the place really clean, constantly coming around to clean. The ice machine is outdoors but they do have a small fridge inside with zip lock bags filled with ice, which came in handy at night .Nice little outdoor patio and jacuzzi with outdoor bathroom. Place is located just a 15min walk away from restaurants bars and stores.

Kathy A.

Yelp
What a hidden gem in this over-priced valley. We actually came to hike, take the train, and go wine tasting. The campground was too hot, and we found this incredibly reasonable inn with over a 9 star rating. It's beautiful and perfectly maintained right down to the paint, crown and door molding, and the garden. A perfectionist runs this. The breakfast is delightful with eggs, Chibani yogurts (the best), waffles, V8s, excellent muffins, cereal, etc. There are bagels , toast, and keurig coffee makers. There was a fresh and delicious fruit salad with cantaloupe, grapes, and some other fruit. I describe the breakfast because I'm tired of the 'breakfast included' claim when there is only toast and coffee. (I love breakfast!) We were able to walk from the inn and back to the start of the wine train (another gem! Do the dome!). It was just over a mile away. Wonderful find in the middle of this over-priced valley!

Joe L.

Yelp
Neat little hotel that has only a few rooms. We were lucky enough to call at the last minute and they had a room. Nice quiet area, with little traffic noise. Beds were comfy and had a bed and breakfast feel. Room rate was affordable for the area. Only a $12 Uber ride to downtown Napa. We will be back!
