Elounda Heights (adults only)

It's difficult to know where to start with a review when everything is so perfect. This was our 12th visit to Elounda Heights since our first visit in 2017. It is like a second home to us and the owners (Natalia and Kostas) and every single member of staff are like an extended family. ||The location is perfect with the most stunning views over the bay and of Spinalonga and if you're up early enough you will see the most stunning sunrise. Each day starts with an amazing breakfast with lots of options to keep things varied on a two week holiday. Breakfast is also a great time to check out the specials board for dinner. The pool bar is perfect for a 'top up' of food/drink throughout the day... brilliantly managed by Clio (and George on Clio's day off). Our evening usually starts with a drink in the bar with the best cocktails we've had anywhere expertly made by Katerina and we usually have Vangelis' special when we eat in. ||We stay in one of the apartments which are very spacious and well equipped ... and kept spotlessly clean by Christina. And any organising of taxis etc are taken care of by Ritsa. ||I love my hiking and Elounda Heights is perfectly positioned to offer a number of excellent and varied hikes.||We are always sad to leave at the end of our stay ... but all good things must come to an end (so they say) ... but thankfully I'll be back next May.

We recently stayed at Elounda Heights for a couple of nights. These nights were the highlight of our 10-day trip to Crete. Everything was wonderful, the room, the pool and pool bar, the restaurant, the grounds, and the staff. |Ritsa warmly greeted us and showed us around the beautiful resort. We spent a lot of time around the pool. The view is incredible, overlooking Mirabella Bay. And the pool bar staff, Cleo and Manos, were kind and fun. Enjoyed their company so much.|We ate at the on-site restaurant twice, and both times, the food and service were perfect. |Later, we spent time at the bar. Katerina was awesome! Serving up great drinks and warm hospitality. |Our brief stay here was one of the best hotel experiences we have ever had. Everything was great, highly recommend.

Yet again a fantastic stay and wouldn't stay anywhere else in that part of Crete as it wouldn't be the same.||Location - fantastic. Panoramic views of the gulf and across to Spinalonga, mountains behind. Short walk into Elounda town itself. Plenty of hikes and other options but also an easy drive to elsewhere such as Agios or further afield.||Food - exceptional. Breakfasts are varied, a large number of extras, filling and tasty. Lots of pool bar options for lunch and snacks.|The evening food is probably the best ive had anywhere with Vangelis cooking amazing food every night as a special (or a normal menu is also available). Its varied and delicious.||Staff - all fantastic. Friendly, good fun, helpful and couldnt ask for more.||Rooms are spacious, well decorated, comfortable. WiFi is good in terms of speed and coverage as well.||Gardens and grounds are quiet and relaxing.||Absolutely nothing negative at all.

Where do I start? We have visited Elounda Heights at least once a year for 15 years or so. We love it more than ever. ||This time we had a first floor studio with a lovely large outside terrace overlooking the beautiful bay. The accommodation is very comfortable and is kept pristine by Christina who never seems to stop working. The breakfasts are excellent and served next to the pool. There are different daily pastries made by Cleo and wonderful dishes prepared by George. ||There is a large reception area looked after very efficiently by Ritsa and a nice bar with excellent drinks and cocktails expertly prepared by Katerina. Each day there is a delicious freshly prepared special dish for dinner served on a covered terrace overlooking the bay. ||Huge thanks to Kostas, Natalia, Vangelis and Ann. This is a very special place and we have already booked again for next May. ||Jane and Jules.

This was my 11th stay at Elounda Heights since 2017, it's like returning to family and friends each time. There is a special atmosphere here, all members of the team want to make sure your stay is perfect whether it be regarding food, drink, trips, local knowledge or to arrange a massage! |The pool bar is open all day starting with an excellent breakfast and continues to serve food, snacks & drinks until 7pm. The main bar, which is very well stocked with a wide range of wines, spirits & soft drinks opens at 7pm until late and where you can also get amazing cocktails. There is a fabulous restaurant with a great range of dishes, including daily specials, created by Vaggelis and George. There are also regular events - look out for Wine Night and Piano Night, both very tasteful and well run events.|I have stayed in a number of the rooms and all have great views, are comfortable, well equipped, quiet and are kept spotlessly clean by Christina. My favourite is Ismini - the balcony is double aspect, one view of Spinalonga and the other over the pool and towards the causeway and mountains beyond. Heaven!|The Heights is at the top of a steep hill, hence the outstanding views but close to the town and all its fabulous bars and restaurants should you wish to venture out! A taxi to the centre is approx 6 Euros.

The place you just keep coming back to. Feel relaxed as soon as I arrive. Always made to feel welcome and at home. Breakfasts are a delight, evening meals in the restaurant are amazing. Studios are perfect. View can not be beaten. See you next year.

Elounda Heights ticks all the boxes for us as a couple, a place to relax & chill, set on top of a hill with wonderful views of Elounda bay, Spinalonga is visible at the end of the bay.||We stayed in a Studio which was spotlessly clean and equipped with everything we needed for our ten day stay, breakfast was a sheer delight, home made treats, jams and a full menu to choose from to start your day.| |The restaurant opens in the evenings serving expertly prepared tasty food, there is also a comprehensive wine list. We particularly liked the friendly bar which has a wide selection of drinks, excellent for pre and post dinner drinks. ||Pool area is excellent, sun beds for all guests and pool bar serving drinks and snacks all day, pool towels are supplied. A swim in the refreshing pool is a must.||Our thanks go to owners, Natalia and Kostas and their staff at EH, all are exemplary, friendly, welcoming, nothing is too much trouble, ||Elounda village has many small shops, bars and restaurants. There is a small beach and separate small harbour surrounded by small traditionally painted fishing boats.||All in all Elounda Heights is a great place to holiday, we liked it so much we have booked for 14 nights in June 2026.

I have reviewed Elounda Heights before but felt it worthy of another.|It is a very special place with a unique atmosphere run by a small but tight team of 10 people who are all super friendly. You are well looked after, from the moment you arrive, to the time you leave.|All the rooms, either studios or apartments, are immaculate with either a terrace or balcony offering uninterrupted views over the bay of Korfos and Mirabello Bay. Rooms are regularly cleaned with fresh towels and bedding every couple of days. Also, complimentary shampoos, conditioners, and moisturisers are replenished when used.|The food at the pool bar is all freshly made with a good selection of Greek and other warm and cold snacks.|There is an on-site restaurant and bar where meals are served every evening (except Sundays), and a daily special is created by the legend that is Vangelis. Always delicious. There is an ala carte menu too.|The owners, Kostas and Natalia, are constantly improving their offering year on year, and have plans for more apartments with their own private pools for 2026 which sounds exciting.|You will not be disappointed if you choose to stay at Elounda Heights, and you are quite likely to re-book once you have stayed as the number of repeat guests are testament to.
