Eltons Bar + Bites

Was looking for a late breakfast/brunch spot on our last day in Mudgee before driving back to Sydney. noting we had a decent drive ahead of us we wanted a decent sized feed to get us back home. So glad we decided to give Eltons a go. It was the back end of winter when we were there so inside was pretty full but the sun was out and it wasn’t windy so we opted for an outdoor table to get some vitamin D. We were quickly served and didn’t take long for drinks and coffee to arrive. It was a sort of busy morning in Mudgee on the day we visited so was good people watching while waiting for Breaky to arrive. I went the Eltons Bacon & Egg roll which comes with a hash brown which was music to my stomach. It was a very solid breaky burger, which was delicious and left me very full, so full I couldn’t even be tempted with anything sweet at the counter when I was paying for our breakfast. Highly recommend stopping in here if you’re visiting town, it I was a local I’d be stopping in a regular basis to work my way through the menu 🤤

Lovely cafe - beautiful doors and windows. Excellent food - very grateful for an all day breakfast. Helpful and cheerful staff. Would recommend!

Elton’s is always a favourite stop for us. The coffee is consistently great and the breakfast menu never disappoints. The regular serves are the perfect size for me, while my husband is a big fan of their generous big breakfast. The staff know us, remember our orders, and always bring that warm, friendly country vibe that makes the experience so enjoyable. Even when it’s busy, they manage to pump out quality food without missing a beat. A true gem!

Stopped in for breaky on the Sunday after the Panthers game, and they were busy. We jagged a table quickly, and were offered menu's and instructed to take our time, which we did. Great coffee, and the food was awesome. I can recommend the Big Breakfast, with all the flavours. The staff were great, despite being run off their feet. Our table was cleared and ready for the next customer as we left. Awesome work by all. We'll be back when in the area.

Food was so good. Sadly, the blonde lady with glasses who took our order made up table number 20 and made my dad pay an extra $100? luckily we checked the receipt and said that table doesn't even exist? the lady was super rude and said it was my dad's fault? even though he literally pointed at our table to pay and she literally took our order?????????? very confused? defs not coming back

Putting a 5 stars mostly for the Elton’s iconic pork belly, which was amazing! The glaze on it is so tasty, and was so good on the fatty pork belly. The rest of the food was good as well, but they could have had a bit more taste. For the soft-shell crab tacos and the sweet potato chips, I think the main problem was the aioli sauce, which was completely tasteless. For the fried chicken tacos, more sauce on it would have made it more enjoyable, in our opinion. But, overall, the experience was still enjoyable and the staff was really friendly. It was also great that we could bring our dog.
