Stopped for lunch enroute on our walk from Lugano to Grandia - a gorgeous and quirky little restaurant with amazing views that serves a limited menu but very delicious food! Staff are lovely. Recommend stopping here on your walk or boat trip, have lunch and then walk (easy 10min walk) to Grandia.

Just take a look at the pictures. It’s amazing! I can add that there are no roads and cars anywhere nearby and the staff is incredible friendly. The hotel and the rooms are very clean and well kept. 10 mins cozy walk to Gandria with plenty of restaurants. I stayed there for 3 nights during Easter 2023 in room number 7. Highly recommended.

Lovely small personal hotel by Lago di Lugano. discovers the hotel last year when I walked past the hotel and it looked very charming and inviting. Now I stayed there and the hotel is adorable with very friendly, attentive and personal service. The hotel is accessible by boat or by a beautiful walk along the lake. The location of the hotel is splendid, exactly by the lake. The hotel has a lovely restaurant, terrace with sun chairs plus originally decorated rooms. The inside restaurant is uniquely decorated with paintings of Napoleon. It is a very welcoming small hotel at a fantastic quiet place.

It was quite an experience staying at this family-run hotel. Super quiet and scenic. Only you and the mountains. The owner Rosa spoke Italian, English, German. Just 10 rooms available. Credit card payment possible. Breakfast was simple, yet the steamed eggs & soft bread were amazing. It took 10 minutes to walk from the nearest parking lot (west to the Elvezia), which was a nice ritual to leave the city behind and calm down through the path. The path was rocky & sandy, and could be muddy in rain - be prepared to carry your luggage all the way. One parking space was dedicated to the hotel - ask in advance for the space number. It was not a luxury hotel. WiFi signal was too weak to use in the room. Bathroom was small. Maybe consider bringing your own toiletries.

My wife and I thought this place was wonderful! It sits right on the lake, with no automobile traffic nearby. Each room has a balcony that you can sit on overlooking the lake. No bad rooms. The rooms aren't huge or fancy, but they are very pleasant and our bathroom was full sized. No AC (welcome to Europe), but the balcony double doors provided plenty of cooling in the evenings. ||Good little swimming platform and sunbathing area with lounge chairs. We swam each day. ||I loved the restaurant. The setting is basically the best you'll find anywhere on the lake - I can't imagine a better spot. My pasta and pizza were very, very good, and the wine by the class was reasonably priced. Breakfast included cheese, bread, jam, fruit, muesli, yogurt, and five-minute eggs. Nothing lavish, but eating by the lake in the morning was a pretty great experience nonetheless. ||ONE BIG CAVEAT: this place is hard to get to. We tried to take the bus from the train station, and we walked for many kilometers before finding it. Definitely would take a taxi next time. Only a walking path leads to the hotel, so even with a cab, you're walking for ten minutes with your luggage. The Lugano boats do drop off right at the hotel dock, but they run every two hours or so and often take 45 minutes to get from Lugano to the hotel. The right play is to eat breakfast at the hotel, take a boat to Lugano mid-morning, do your Lugano thing, then have a boat picked out for the ride home in the afternoon. Spend the afternoon by the lake, and then eat at the hotel or in Gandria. Dinner in Lugano would definitely require a cab and walk to get home. ||My two cents! I'm surprised by some of the negative reviews here - I thought this place was totally charming and idyllic.

We spent a few nights on Lake Lugano at Elvezia al lago and it was absolutely delightful. Rosa and her family took great care of us and we will certainly be back!||We love small boutique hotels and the decor and views set this one far above others! I am so pleased that we found it. ||This location is not close to much which made it an absolutely perfect vacation spot. Dinner at the hotel was delicious but it is also easy to walk or take a ferry to the neighboring villages. ||The lakeside beach area was wonderful!||Booking via email was easy and Rosa was always responsive. Parking was no problem at all and you can easily walk or they will take you by boat.

We spent 2 nights at the hotel. The views were amazing. The owner was very sweet. Gave us a warm welcome and a glass of Prosecco. The tricky part was the ferry schedule but other than that it was great. Food at the restaurant was very good.

The hotel was wonderful. The staff was super friendly, the room was very comfortable, and the location is superb. The hotel may seem difficult to get to, but it is actually very easy and the short walk is lovely. The private lido and direct lake access were amazing.
