I consider this a 3-star property. Good location, no frills, good size rooms. I booked a room for my husband and I and two children (9 and 12). I was pleased to find that we got two adjoining rooms, which meant each room had its own bathroom. Being used to American style hotel rooms, the size of the room and bathroom met our expectations. However, one of the rooms smelled like smoke. Location wise, we took the train the Paris so the proximity to the train station and metro was a huge plus. Note that the restaurants and bars very close to the train station are bit over priced. The front desk was very friendly and helpful, but the amenities were minimal. We got free coffee and afternoon pastries in the lobby, unlimited free bottled water. We asked for ice, which was probably very American of us, and there were none. Overall, I felt it was good value for Paris, and the location worked well for easy access to transit.

No complaints! we arrived a little early and our rooms were not ready so they offered to take our bags and told us they would be ready within the hour. This was really helpful because we decided to walk around Paris while we waited. The front desk staff was always courteous and all spoke English. The rooms were nice, small, but nice.

Superb hotel with great location. Although small, the superior rooms have plenty of space and feel cozy. The staff is lovely and very helpful, would come back again.

I seldom stay in 4* hotels but when I do I would expect a unique experience. Here the hotel failed at check-in. We arrived at about 11.00 to leave our luggage and were informed that the rooms (we booked 3 for a business trip) will be ready at 14.00 (Booking informs that the check-in is possible from 15.00 onwards). We were back in the hotel after 15.00, but the rooms were still not ready. We were offered coffee and cake but still had to wait until 15.30 to get the room. The rooms are small with a tiny bathroom, but I guess it can be a standard for Paris. The room was clean but the room service was rather late during the day. My bed in room 104 was squeaking terribly (rooms 102 and 103 were fine though). The breakfast was a bit disappointing – the quality of the served food was very good, but I missed fresh vegetables and some more variety (two breakfasts of the same composition were enough). Next time while in Paris I would look for something else.

The worst experience ever. This hotel is by far not the 4 star hotel. When I booked my stay have I chosen the superior double room with queen bed from double room with twin bed double room with double bed - superior double didn’t looked as superior. They are saying that the queen bed the two single bed connected - which is impossible to sleep in the middle, you have basically to sleep on single bed. First room it was with a leak in bathroom and with a two single beds attached, when I asked to not have two single beds attached they said this is queen bed, “luckily” it was leak in bathroom and they changed the room to another one with again two singles attached. The room was very old and with low maintenance. Ants on table in the morning. The next night moved us to another room now with proper queen bed. The same poor maintenance in the room and freezing bathroom and missing glass for the shower. Only one pair of slips for two persons. I will never come again.

We got a room which is right next to the reception which quite noisy when people are talking outside. But at at least compensated with large bathroom. But i think the room is serve for people with disability just because of the set up of the toilet. We were greeted by one rude lady at the reception, good thing there was an older lady who assisted us in a very professional manner. Breakfast was ok, not many options but was overall a good selection. Good thing Paris has the best croissant. If you are looking for a place just to sleep in and rest this place is recommendable since its close to gare de lyon station. Close to a lot of restaurants and cafes.

The room size can't be smaller than this in a city hotel that we have stayed in, and we have stayed in many international places including Europe. Even the bathroom was smaller than the Costa Cruise we took a few years ago. Once you have grasped this you will be just fine in the hotel. Be ready for less to no space for opening more than 1 piece of luggage at a time. BUT, rooms with bright white and red combinations are absolutely clean incl bed sheets, towels (which don't wrap around your waist) and public areas. A warm welcome during check in which is also quick...so is check out. Breakfast is limited to coffee, croissant, muffins, cereals, yoghurt...what most parisians eat. Right across the road from Gare de Lyon station about 5 min walk, so good location. There are plenty of cafe and dining outlets within 10 min walk from the hotel. All in all, a 1 or 2 nights stay will be okay here.

The room had a very foul odor from moldy carpet. The hotel manager acknowledged the problem but would not do anything about it. Had to leave to get another hotel last minute. The red color in this photo is the wet carpet seeping through a dry towel placed on the floor. GROSS!
