My wife and I ate here for 8,500 per person for a 7 course meal without drinks.
We have been to a decent amount of fine dining restaurants and this has been one of our favorites - ever.
Being from the United States, being exposed to all these unique tropical flavors was really cool.
Our favorite dish was the papaya served three ways. There was a papaya soup, papaya fried in breadcrumbs, and a papaya sauce and it was simply mindblowing and tasted incredible. Solid 10/10 for myself and my wife.
The Ethiopian take on goulash was such a good idea and my wife loved it. The berbere spice blend was just a little too spicy for my liking.
The red snapper with mango sauce was also a 10/10. The calabash gourd sauce with the vegetables was so good and unique. What a cool way to use a normally decorative gourd in a way that actually tastes good.
The mushroom coffee desert was also great. I also really loved the tofu dish while my wife loved the opening salad.
They also had cocktail, mocktail, and wine options, and I had a passion fruit mocktail while my wife had an apple one. Both were delicious.
Not to mention, the service was the best we've ever had. It's so refreshing to go to a fine dining restaurant where the servers aren't pretentious. They were so nice and normal and unbelievably passionate about the food, as they do some of the cooking, as well. It makes the food so much more enjoyable when you can just feel the passion that goes into it.
If you want an unforgettable dining experience please come here.
They blend passion, flavor, and creativity so well.
We both agreed this is an overall solid 9-9.5/10 meal.
