I have stayed here a couple times, and this experience was slightly better than the last. The room was clean, and although the lights and outlets didn't work in half of the room, it managed to still be comfortable. I used the gym for the first time, and although it is a slight trek to get to, it was clean and had all the necessities.
At check-in, the lady at the front desk was a bit on the colder, less welcoming side. We were given only one drink ticket for two people, even though the last couple times we stayed, we were given one per person. After inquiring, she told us "that was last time, this is this time". Oook. When we got to the happy hour that evening, the bartender told us he didn't know why we were given only one ticket. He confirmed it's 2 drinks per person and honored that. I wish i got his name, but he was a stand up guy and made our drinks perfectly. Same gentleman as our last stay, with the long ponytail! We even came back after happy hour to sit at the bar and have a couple drinks.
I must shoutout Nick who was our server that same night during happy hour. I made eye contact twice with a different server, who when I tried to get her attention, she walked off and sent Nick over. She definitely had her regular customers, you could tell, I guess we just weren't them. But, it worked out because Nick was great!
The next morning, breakfast was great. The food was delicious and I met Gina who provided excellent customer service. I found out she was the breakfast manager and I had to compliment the service and presentation. Down to the omelette station, the gentleman who made it Veteran's day morning was amazing. Such a Night and day difference from the lady who made it during our last stay. Seems simple, but it's the little things that will make or break a stay.
This Embassy definitely gets the job done. Convenient location, clean, and great amenities. Nick, Gina, Sir Bartender, and Sir Omelette-maker, you all are appreciated!!
