Our stay at Embassy Suites by Hilton Springfield was overall good, but there were a few issues that prevented it from being a 5-star experience. The hotel is centrally located, which is convenient, but being right next to I-95 means it can be very loud at times, especially depending on room location. Another downside was the exposed wall area leading to our room, which took away from the otherwise polished feel of the property. One frustrating moment was when I attempted to order room service (from the hotel phone) through the bar and was told it wasn’t available, only to go downstairs shortly after and see the bartender casually making plans with friends. That interaction felt unprofessional and could have been handled much better. Also, the Cheesecake here is not good at all. Save your money the Cheesecake at the Southern Style Chicken & Waffles is way better. On the positive side, the breakfast options were great with a lot of variety and well done. The hotel itself is clean, and the suite-style rooms are spacious and comfortable. Parking is available, but the spaces are extremely tight, so be prepared if you’re driving a larger vehicle. Overall, it’s a solid hotel with strong amenities and a great location, but attention to noise, maintenance details, and staff professionalism would elevate the experience.

I recently had the opportunity to stay at the Embassy Suites Springfield, VA, and I must say, it was an outstanding experience. As a long-time member of Hilton Honors and a seasoned professional in the Tour and Travel Industry—with over two decades of experience ranging from travel agent to agency owner and tour operator—I have encountered a variety of hotels, but this one truly impressed me. From the moment I arrived, the hotel's cleanliness was apparent, which instantly created a sense of comfort and security. The spacious design of both the lobby and my suite contributed to an inviting atmosphere that made me feel right at home. The suite itself was thoughtfully designed, featuring a separate living area that provided ample room to relax and unwind after a hectic day. The bedroom was cozy, with plush bedding that ensured a restful night's sleep. One of the highlights of my stay was the complimentary breakfast, which boasted a diverse selection of delicious options to cater to different tastes and dietary needs. It's a great way to kick-start the day with a satisfying meal. The staff members were not only friendly but also exceptionally attentive, ensuring that all my needs were met promptly and with a smile. Overall, my experience at the Embassy Suites Springfield exceeded my expectations. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a clean, spacious, and welcoming environment. Whether for business or leisure, it’s a fantastic choice that offers everything a traveler could desire.

We have been here before but this stay was different. This time our bathroom showers were not clean looking. Like it hasn't been cleaned in a while. The vents were dusty well. We had a room on the 6th floor which was very quiet. Breakfast is always good here except this time. This time the breakfast was not good, there was no bacon, no waffles or waffle maker. They served potatoes, eggs, grits, sausage gravy, cereal, no danishes or muffins. I was very unhappy with the selection.

From the moment we checked in to the delicious breakfast, this location was awesome! The staff was friendly, professional, polite, quick to respond, and so helpful! I specifically appreciated the breakfast staff, maintenance person and front desk/concierge. Top notch team!

We stopped at this hotel to break up a long drive with family as it is conveniently located right next to I-95. I have three kids (5 years, 2 years and 3 months old). The costumer service was the worst of any major hotel chain I have ever experienced. Early check-in (even 15 minutes early) was not allowed, which after traveling all day with kids you could imagine my pain. Then I asked for a crib. Told they didn’t have any but could look for a pack n play. I called guest services three times to follow up on whether a pack n play could be obtained but NO ONE EVER PICKED UP. That’s correct. Three phone calls, dozens of rings and no one picked up. I went to the nearby target and purchased my own pack n play. I am still in shock over the complete lack of costumer service.

Checked and was given a room on the 7th floor, hauled up luggage only to enter a room that had not been cleaned. Bed unmade, towels on the floor ect. Not what I have come to expect as a Diamond member or from Embassy Suites. Back down to the desk...new room on the 4th floor, it was clean but TV didn't power on in the living room. Tried to call the front desk but the phone didn't work in the room either. Back downstairs I went. Let the front desk know and they said they would send maintenance up. I stayed 2 days and nobody ever showed. We just made due watching the TV in the bedroom which was an issue as all the tvs in all the rooms were getting very limited channels, the front desk stated maintenance was working on the issue, apparently the same maintenance that was trying to fix my living room TV because after two days the channel issues were unresolved. On another note, I got up in the morning, went to the gym and then decided to go to breakfast as Embassy Suites are known for their breakfast..to my surprise at 0845 the omelet station was out of ham, spinach and tomatoes....What breakfast goes till 0930 but runs out of everything? apparently on a Sunday you have to go to breakfast before 0800 if you want an omelet with the ingredients you desire. Oh and Managers Happy Hour or evening special with drinks and light snacks is now light snacks and maximum of two drinks. Not sure when that changed, but was de taken by surprise.

We were traveling up 95 and this property is perfectly located just off the highway. Super convenient to DC! Delivers everything they advertise- it’s a beautiful embassy suites, well maintained, clean and comfortable rooms! We had a late dinner in the restaurant and breakfast before we got on the road. Note: because of great location there is a $15 parking fee. Not a negative, just something to note.

Google
The parking is expensive, the pool has been closed since the 12th, it's now the 28th and it still isn't fixed. Which wouldn't be a problem if they posted it online or let people know before booking. Our kids are sitting in the room bored out of their minds now. The room smelled like weed. The phones don't work. The phone charging outlets next to the bed doesn't work. The bath tub plug doesn't work. The people that work here stared blankly at us every time we brought these things to their attention as if they had no clue how to show hospitality. So why work in hospitality? It's too expensive here to have this many issues. They could have atleast offered us a different room. Or give people a break on the cost if their largest amenity isn't functional. I have had better service at a McDonald's.

Yelp
I have stayed here a couple times, and this experience was slightly better than the last. The room was clean, and although the lights and outlets didn't work in half of the room, it managed to still be comfortable. I used the gym for the first time, and although it is a slight trek to get to, it was clean and had all the necessities. At check-in, the lady at the front desk was a bit on the colder, less welcoming side. We were given only one drink ticket for two people, even though the last couple times we stayed, we were given one per person. After inquiring, she told us "that was last time, this is this time". Oook. When we got to the happy hour that evening, the bartender told us he didn't know why we were given only one ticket. He confirmed it's 2 drinks per person and honored that. I wish i got his name, but he was a stand up guy and made our drinks perfectly. Same gentleman as our last stay, with the long ponytail! We even came back after happy hour to sit at the bar and have a couple drinks. I must shoutout Nick who was our server that same night during happy hour. I made eye contact twice with a different server, who when I tried to get her attention, she walked off and sent Nick over. She definitely had her regular customers, you could tell, I guess we just weren't them. But, it worked out because Nick was great! The next morning, breakfast was great. The food was delicious and I met Gina who provided excellent customer service. I found out she was the breakfast manager and I had to compliment the service and presentation. Down to the omelette station, the gentleman who made it Veteran's day morning was amazing. Such a Night and day difference from the lady who made it during our last stay. Seems simple, but it's the little things that will make or break a stay. This Embassy definitely gets the job done. Convenient location, clean, and great amenities. Nick, Gina, Sir Bartender, and Sir Omelette-maker, you all are appreciated!!

Yelp
Embassy Suites by Hilton Springfield What beautiful huge hotel with all the amenities you would desire to include onsite restaurant, Bar and breakfast buffet. Reservation: The online process was seamless enough, I do wish that they had contactless services "pass the counter" and keyless entry. Reception: We arrived late so, the doors required a room key to open. The receptionist at the desk saw us at the door and promptly gave us access. The bar staff were super nice and accommodating. We always make a point to speak to the housekeepers as we pass them during the day, they appeared to appreciate being seen. Room: We had a double queen room. The rooms are spacious, a little dated but nice and clean.

Yelp
I travel for work from Las Vegas to VA several times a year, and since my first stay here at Embassy Suites, this is absolutely my hotel of choice and would not think about staying anywhere else! Embassy Suites by Hilton Springfield is a beautiful hotel with all the amenities you need to have a great stay, relax, and not go anywhere else once you are here. If you are a Hilton Honors member, you can use the app for everything. You can check in, and even pick your room of choice or let them pick one for you. I really appreciate this option as I can see all rooms available and pick where I would like to be. Next you get a message that your room is ready and once you arrive you can go straight to your room and use the app to open the door to your room! They also send you a text from the front desk to welcome you and ask what they can do for you. They do answer back with anything you need. The rooms here are very nice, comfortable and spacious. They are well kept and you will get your room cleaned every day. The rooms are quite large and you will never feel cramped or uncomfortable. They have a Manager's Reception from 5:30-7:30 during the week where you can get complimentary drinks and light snacks. Usually they have cheese and crackers, veggies, fruit, cookies and other options which is nice. Their restaurant is the Crossroads Bar and Grill which has a great menu of options and everything I have had here is fantastic and another reason I don't need to go anywhere else. Service is excellent, atmosphere is excellent and the food is fantastic. They also have a huge free breakfast every morning! From light items and buffet options to made to order omelets and more! This hotel and their staff will go out of their way to make sure you have a great stay and experience. I personally met with their GM Luis, and he is a large part of their success and the family atmosphere. While Embassy Suites is a brand that is above others, this one really sets the bar for excellence...others do not compare. Please consider this hotel for your next stay, you will not be disappointed! Thank you to Luis and your whole team for making this such a great atmosphere and great place to stay and enjoy!

Yelp
I visited this hotel in January 2024 and was satisfied with my stay. I chose this location for the close proximity to the Franconia-Springfield Metro Station (less than 10 min drive). I had a King Bed room which had a tv in the bedroom, one bathroom (walk in shower), a small living room area with couch and tv, and a small kitchenette. Everything was clean and supplies in the bathroom were filled. The tissue box was nearly empty though with no backup. Water pressure in shower was good and so was temperature. The only issue I had with the room was that there was nothing in the kitchenette like plates, silverware, or paper towels/napkins. I had ordered dinner one night from a nearby restaurant for my boyfriend and I to split. We called down to the front desk to inquire about silverware and plates. They didn't have any paper plates and I guess they couldn't get into the dining area due to the late hour to get real plates for us? They did have plastic silverware sets. I thought this was kind of weird that they didn't have stuff to offer. I understand not stocking every room with kitchen supplies but at least have it available to guests if they call overnight.. We had the complimentary breakfast the next morning and it was nice, specially the made to order omelette station. They also had scrambled eggs, French toast, crispy potatoes, bacon, cereal/milk, oatmeal, juice, coffee, fruit, and yogurt (I think I hit everything). I know they rotate some dishes out based on supply. The dining area was spacious and they have attendants to take your plates/cups, wipe down tables, etc. Everyone we encountered was nice but not overly friendly. They also have trays so we brought our food up to our room. Overall we had a good experience here and I would recommend it to people looking for somewhere to stay in the area. I know they also offer complimentary happy hour but we weren't there during the hours so I can't speak on that. It also looks like there are lots of areas to set up a laptop/workstation if you need to get work done.

Yelp
Booked a night here for with my boys for a staycation. The AM breakfast staff were amazing . Breakfast was on point and was constantly filled despite the crowd rolling through . Beds were a dream and the kitchenette was perfect to warm up late night snacks . Loved the full size fridge

Yelp
Unsafe, Unhelpful, Utterly Unacceptable Fire alarm started going off during our stay and the front desk staff actively ignored multiple guests who reported smelling smoke in the stairwells and told us we were overreacting. The woman pictured dismissed us, saying, "we have housekeeping on the third floor, we would know if there was a fire, go back to your rooms." It wasn't until other panicked staff members came downstairs due to the smoke that the front desk chose to take the situation seriously. Even after the fire department arrived and got the situation under control, there was no apology or remorse from the front desk for failing to ensure the building was safe before telling people to go back to their rooms. If you want to stay at a hotel with a staff that cares, look elsewhere, these people don't want to lift a finger.

Yelp
I booked a two nights at Embassy Suites in Springfield, Va at what I thought was the Hotel's website. It was a scam and I was overcharged by almost $100.00. I called Hilton and they told me I was overcharged by a third party (Guest Reservations) claiming to be the website of this hotel. Hilton knows about this scam but still chooses to do business with "Guest Reservations". Hilton should be ashamed of their business practices. CONSUMER BEWARE doing business with Hilton!

Yelp
A comfortable three night stay. We chose the 2 Room Kitchen Suite with 1 King Bed and sofa bed which was not needed. Room was quite as we were on the seventh floor (no one above us). Nice size two entry bathroom with strong shower pressure. Bed was comfortable - coffee machine worked fine. No paper towels, limited plates and utensils (odd) and the coffee table looked worn. Our stay included a daily sizeable breakfast buffet selection as well as a "Happy Hour" from 5 to 7:30 every evening. The bar / dining area is very comfortable with the bartenders / waitresses sincere and friendly. We will be returning.

Yelp
My church was driving back home to Maryland from King's Dominion. On the way, my friend got heavily carsick and threw up all over his clothes. We had an hour left to drive, so we parked at this hotel to get him and our van cleaned up. When we spoke to the front desk, they refused to give us paper towels and gave us a small dishrag. When we asked them if our friend could change in their bathroom, they repeatedly refused and reprimanded me for frowning. They directed us to the 7-11 across the street, even though my friend was visibly sick. On the way, he threw up again and we had to get more paper towels to clean up. This hotel did not provide us with the hospitality that you expect from Hilton. Throughout this entire experience, we were not spared the slightest of sympathy or humanity. Not even a "I hope he feels better."

Yelp
They were supposed to take care of me after the Hilton system screwed up and overbooked the nearby Hilton, bumping me here. My room was supposed to be comped for the inconvenience. That got screwed up because the Hilton app offered me check in, for which the staff member scolded me because the staff member at the Hilton told me I should do that. Every time I went to the desk to try to get it sorted out, the staff members told me a different story. During one trip there, the two staff members at the desk told me different stories. It took me three phone calls to the manager and the better part of a week to clean up that mess. But that's nothing compared to the debacle with my room lock. When I tried to open the door, it wouldn't open. I tried multiple times. They sent up a staff member with new keys. Those didn't work either. She went back downstairs to see what she could do. I kept trying and finally got in. When the staff member came back, I wanted to try the lock again, but it didn't work. She told me that was because the door was open. I stepped outside, closed the door, and it wouldn't open. They said they would call the engineer and assigned me another room. She told me to go to the new room. My luggage, laptop, purse, and jewelry were all locked inside the room, and my cell phone was dying; the charger was inside. She said she would send the engineer. I waited. After 15 minutes, I called down again and was told the engineer was "on the way." And she tried again to get me to abandon all my belongings, which I refused. When the engineer finally showed up, it took him 10 nerve-wracking minutes to open the door. The battery in the lock was dead. Guest safety and security are their bottom priority.

Yelp
Whether you are stopping through, or need a "staycation" of your own. The Embassy by Hilton is a place where home is an extension, and family is here to serve you. The rooms are spectacular, the complementary drinks are a bonus, and the service has been excellent every visit. We are from NJ, but this is the place to stay on our journey south!

Yelp
Gross! Nothing worse than staying in a hotel and you don't want to take off your socks or flip-flops; changing the linen and wiping out the sinks is NOT a cleaning. Zero Stars and (5) down from me and my hubby. Thank goodness my family and I only had to endure this disgusting room for less than 24 hours.

Yelp
Had a good stay here. Staff was friendly and the have a manager special happy hour which was nice. The rooms are slightly dated but overall good stay would stay here again

Yelp
Hilton has a great selection of hotels. I've always traveled to the cheapest but nicer options across different hotel chains. Over the past 2 years, I've only traveled to Hilton hotels and it's been great! This hotel was so beautiful! The room had a bedroom and a separate sitting room with a TV. Breakfast was hot with sausage, eggs, french toast, hash browns, oatmeal, yogurt, tea, and even speciality coffee. Great spot off i95!

Yelp
I am currently being kicked out due to my review. I've been staying for almost a year and relocating to another hotel because I complain too much about the heat being on constantly. This hotel has the absolute worst service ever and the GM Adam is worthless and a coward. This hotel decided without notice to kick us out with our four dogs while I'm recovering from surgery. They don't like that I left them a bad review. The front desk staff especially one in particular is the rudest woman that you can ever imagine. She hangs up on people constantly she tells them I don't feel like dealing with these people today. The front desk manager himself is a snake. I thought he was someone very very nice and helpful only to find out that he was a puppet for Adam. Throughout this time the few times that I did complain only about heat there was a maintenance guys that tried their best to help me and one maintenance guy in particular did help me and that is why I didn't have any more complaints until they shoved me into another room. They refuse to accommodate to your needs. They treat people of color especially African Americans guess like garbage. Run run run run. They even stopped their free cocktail hour and now I'm giving you two tickets per night. That was the only highlight at this place was getting the free cocktails. But now they shut that down. Why because the irresponsible management and money and finance troubles. The food is HORRIBLE over priced and gave me diarrhea. The so called Executive Chef is nothing but a short order cook before coming to this hotel per LinkedIn and Adam the so called GM is a job hopper per LinkedIn. I will have and share an entire story and maybe a small Memoir of my hotel experience living. Anywhere from theft, prostitution to sexual harassment. But I never reported any of these incidents because I did not want to make any waves nor get anyone in trouble. Now the gloves are off. I personally witnessed and seen everything that I am reporting. Tim the Director of Ops is a LIAR. He never reached out to me and he was the one that kicked us out. I mean for God sakes we met his beautiful family. Am sooooo sad. Depressed, in pain from packing. Embarrassed and sad. I've never complained other than the heat issue of nightly 72 degrees. I have lupus and premenstrual. Heat makes me extremely sick. Debilitating sick. This caused me to stay in the bed for hours in the compete darkness. #hiltonhonors #HiltonHotels #Hilton Paris Hilton #HiltonSucks #kickedout #noplacetogo #neverstayathiltonhotels #AdamthesocalledGMsucks #sexualharassment

Yelp
I've stayed at the Embassy Suites on Loisdale Rd. in Springfield, VA multiple times in the past--but no more. While the rooms are nice and the breakfast is good, they have made some unwelcome changes: the evening reception now limits each patron to two "vouchers" for a maximum of two glasses of wine; and they now charge $15 per car per day for parking. (Parking used to be free). I'll go elsewhere from now on.

Yelp
I have stayed here for a week in September then a week in October. The restaurant cooks have a lot to learn, unless the food they are given to prepare is really this bad. The price of the items on the menu lead you to believe you will get high quality food and yet it falls as short of an amateur home cook who is overwhelmed. Hummus is great and so is the buffalo cauliflower. I am saddened to say these following meals fell very short and for the price I was ripped off. Calamari - undercooked and soggy Maryland crab cakes- mostly breading New York strip steak- tough and cooked over requested as well as biting into fragments of bone. Embassy burger- messy and was a frozen patty Chicken sandwich- over cooked and needed more than provided for taste. French dip was ok but au jus was bland Crab cake sandwich with the brioche bun a huge mess cake flew out the sides of the sandwich. Horrible restaurant. How on earth could it be this bad. Happy hour is great because of the wine and alcohol. Snacks are poor. Room service is lacking especially when you are paying $1300 for four nights. I have been a diamond member for over 15 years and by far this is the worst experience I've ever had. I almost feel picked on. I would expect this kind of quality and experience in cooking from a fast food joint trying something new. But! I think they could do it better.

Yelp
We booked our stay several weeks in advance for our upcoming anniversary. Our check-in day was Wednesday, May 8, 2024, with a check-out for Saturday. The room was very clean and very comfortable. Our anniversary was May 10, 2024, which was spent at Fort Belvoir Hospital. On Wednesday we ordered in the room and I got sick from the hamburger the next day my husband and I got breakfast at the omelet station in the cook treated me with a sense of disrespect. Not realizing each person needed to show their room key my husband just acknowledged that I was with him as I proceeded to give my omelet order. The person at the time may not have believed that I was in fact a guess at the hotel since I was wearing the same clothes from the day before. I had just checked out of the emergency room. Not to mention that I'm black and my husband is white. She didn't cook my omelet all the way and the little pinch of bacon she gave me was still swimming around in the uncooked eggs. Not being able to eat it I got a bagel, cream cheese, and some fruit. The fruit had an overripe look to it and a smell so I didn't eat anything. When the service came around to clear out the table I reported that I wasn't feeling well and went back to the room. Later that day I left the hotel for the hospital. So we were there on our anniversary. Each time we ordered food it didn't taste good and the chicken we ordered was not cooked at all. It was raw inside not to mention the lemon pepper seasoning was just dumped on top of the chicken with butter. Overall our time was not memorable at all and to spend almost 1k for three nights we could have hired a chef and stayed at home. We will not be returning to the Springfield location. Someone is going to get food poisoning from this place if management doesn't ack quickly in remove the chief. He doesn't care about what he is putting out and when you complain directly to management instead of them calling you directly to investigate the situation they would rather fire off unprofessional emails for which they later had to apologize for. So no I would never recommend this location.

Yelp
I'll preface this by saying that I tend to stay at pretty nice hotels, so this review is more for people like that. I don't normally stay at these kinds of hotels (unless it's for work). But our spring break plans got messed up and I still wanted to give my son a good time. So I tried to find a hotel with an indoor pool that wasn't too far away. That's how we chose Embassy Suites. I haven't stayed in an Embassy Suites for over a decade, and my, things have changed. First, why did I have to pay for parking in a regular parking lot? But you better pay and have that permit showing otherwise you will be towed. There's a tow truck just waiting for the moment, in the lot. Really strange. Second, the pool was SO cold and had a film over top. I told the front desk about the temperature, which they said wasn't normal, but I don't know if anything was done to fix it. I also had to alert them that there were zero towels at the pool. We had to go back up to our room to get towels (and then wait more than 30 min. to have them replaced once we got into the room--waiting to shower). The shower pressure was over the top - made it really hard to bathe a young child in there, and it wasn't pleasant for myself. Breakfast has gone a bit downhill - I remember when an Embassy Suites would do waffles and pancakes. And the housekeeping - HORRIBLE! They truly have no idea what they are doing or how to clean well. The duvet cover wasn't even on the duvet - disgusting. That being said, while some (not most) of the actual staff (front desk and breakfast folks) have attitudes, they are all really hardworking and try hard to meet the needs of customers. Definitely won't be back, though, because it's just not my vibe.

Yelp
The pros definitely outweigh the cons at this hotel! And there a plenty of pros! The suites are spacious, the breakfast has plenty of hot and cold options, fresh fruit and more & the guest reception with drinks for guests made it one of the better stays I have had. Rooms: Kitchenette with mini-fridge, microwave, sink, coffee maker and cabinet space. Living space with ottoman/living room table- can be used for seating or table space & coat closet. Desk/table area for work or eating. Bedroom with dresser & closet- king size bed. Bath is huge- lighting wasn't as bright as most bathrooms. Shower stall spacious, and modern look with gray tile. Breakfast: Omelet station, hot bar with eggs, bacon, sausage, homefries, pancakes & grits . Cold side had plenty of cereal choices & oatmeal, danishes, muffins, fresh fruit, yogurt bar, variety of breads for toast, bagels. Variety of juices, coffee & tea. Something for everyone. Guest reception: variety of complimentary drinks available for guests, some specialty drinks are reduced price. Nibbles also offered- chips and salsa, cheeses, chips, pretzels, veggie tray and dip, pasta salad, cookies and brownie assortment. The cons: Water pressure is very light, we have stayed here previously and I remember that from last time too. Cleaning staff doesn't do a very good job. Toilet, floors and table were not cleaned properly. The beautiful modern gray tile in the shower scares me- you wouldn't be able to see if it was cleaned correctly. Overall- I like this hotel. The problems I addressed here are common in most hotels. There's always something. It has a very modern and beautiful look throughout. The breakfast, bar and restaurant serve good food. This was our third stay and is the preferred family hotel when we all come into town. I am sure we will be back.

Yelp
My second time staying at this hotel. The lobby is very modern, clean and attractive. The hotel itself is very new, and the rooms look great featuring many amenities. The exercise room is large and well equipped. Wi Fi would not connect due to a security concern.

Mia P.

Yelp
They remodeled. It looks cheap and basic, like a Red Roof Inn. Not sure why they strayed from sophisticated and basic. I thought the pictures were an error since I've stayed here over 20 times. Too cheep looking for me.

Yelp
This is a follow up on a stay I had there in November. The details of the stay were pretty well covered in that post, but the worst part was finding a blood stain on the comforter our first night. There were other issues including a nonfunctional pool that was advertised and a completely dark hotel one morning that essentially kept people in their rooms. I was told the manager would be contacting me, but have not heard a response. Doesn't appear that this property or Hilton care about the name

Yelp
Nice hotel with a cooked to order breakfast and managers reception daily! The suites were very comfortable and the place in general is really nice! The bartenders and breakfast and managers reception staff are very nice and helpful! The Front desk staff are very nice and helpful! Nice people. The only thing negative I have to say is they don't do daily housecleaning. They tell you that upfront! You must request it or they do it on your 4th day. They forgot to do mine and I called them. They did it the next day! So responsive!

Yelp
While I was in the middle of a medical crisis, I was kicked out of Embassy Suites Hotel in Springfield, VA. There was mold in my condo, so my homeowner's insurance was paying for my stay at the hotel (while my condo was being cleaned). My homeowner's insurance was paying through Friday. I was kicked out on a Wednesday night because the night manager thought I had checked out earlier that day. But I had not. I told the manager I had not checked out and that my homeowner's insurance was paying my bill through Friday. He kept insisting I had checked out that day. I kept telling him I had not. He refused to listen. I was not belligerent or inappropriate. He called the senior manager, Mr. Ahmed (Adam) Imtiaz. Mr. Imtiaz told him to kick me out. The night manager called the police. The police came and told me to leave the premises. I was in shock, and as I started to pack, I went into an episode of atrial fibrillation - a very serious heart condition. I had to move very slowly. The night manager asked why I was taking so long to pack. I told him my heart had gone into atrial fibrillation, and that I may need an ambulance. He responded by saying I had 30 minutes to get out. I was not ready in 30 minutes, so he called the police again. The police helped me pack, then escorted me out to my car in front of everyone. Once at the car, the officer apologized and said he had no choice but to remove me. He said, according to Virginia law, police must make customers leave a hotel if the hotel management requests it. For any reason! He said he did not approve of the way the hotel handled my situation and that I should file a complaint as soon as possible. Mr. Ahmed Imtiaz had the police issue me a trespass warning. Since he thought I refused to pay my bill, he did not want me back on the property. I went back to my moldy condo. I filed a complaint with Hilton Headquarters since they are over Embassy Suites. They investigated and found that, indeed, I was approved to stay through Friday, and my homeowner's insurance was paying the bill. The hotel was wrong. This never should have happened! The night manager was fired. They offered me a small settlement. But Mr. Imtiaz is still there. It seems he used the night manager as a scapegoat. Be very careful of this man. After the investigation, I emailed Mr. Imtiaz several times (with no response) asking him to drop the trespass warning (to clear my name). He finally responded, "The no-trespass warning is still in place and our hotel will continue to hold it in place. Since the no-trespass is in place you are not allowed to be on the property and you need to stop sending me emails..." Again, I was never belligerent or inappropriate. In Virginia, a person can be kicked out of a hotel at the whim of a manager! We can stop this abuse by contacting Hilton and our politicians. Politicians are capable of creating a law that would give a customer until the next day to leave the hotel. This would give the hotel and the customer time to find the correct solution to any problem that may arise. You can reach Governor Younkin at: https://www.governor.virginia.gov/communicating-with-the-governors-office/.

Yelp
Wow, what a place! Embassy Suites by Hilton are nice generally everywhere but this one is exceptionally so. I noticed three standout characteristics in particular: location, cleanliness, and space. Location - normally the hotels immediately off of the highway are motels or not the high-end sort. Embassy Suites at Springfield is an exception however, being just barely perhaps less than a quarter-mile of driving off of I-95 and taking mere seconds to get to/from. It is also easy to get from it to the few amenities, gas stations, and restaurants around. In terms of cleanliness I was impressed with how everything - from the lobby to the dining area to the rooms - was spotless. Things simply shined, had positive odors, and was exquisite in maintenance and design. Lastly is spaciousness. I felt the amenities that were open (dining area, restaurant) and the rooms were quite large, even by Embassy Suite standards. In sum, a well-located, pristine, and comfortable location for the already usually-nice Embassy Suites brand.

Yelp
I received a response from the Hotel based on my dissapointed stay. It was a "boiler plate" response and did not address any of my conerns. I responded to their Email and as expected, no response. They really don't care and I guess it makes sense, the high volume of traffic in a heavily populated area like the DC area, they don't have to address lousy service.

Yelp
Had a one night layover here after a 10 hour drive. How surprised and grateful we were they had a happy hour with light appetizers and free wine, beer and mixed drinks when we arrived. The room was spacious and clean, the bed comfortable, and the floor quiet. My only knock was a loose knob on the shower. My wife and I agreed the free breakfast was quite possibly the best free hotel breakfast we've ever had. Beside the usual offerings of pastries, cereal, oatmeal, eggs, sausage, etc., there is also an omelette station with a cook making your omelette of choice. The staff was friendly, helpful and conscientious. We will definitely be staying here again when we travel the east coast.

Yelp
We stayed here for a friend's retirement from the military; a weekend celebration. When we checked in the desk help was not very welcoming. There is no mini bar in the room, no literature of room service or restaurants (we had to ask). The lamp lights flickered, we had to call at midnight to get extra towels. The next morning i asked for hospitality to clean the room and she said it was too late (wasnt even noon). We've been here 2 days & not once have we had hospitality to clean or make our bed. The bar is only open 5-9 but the sign said 11-11. Since we've been here a sign has been put up stating its a $75 fee to check in before 4pm. Just too many misses for a room this expensive.

Yelp
This is one of the nicest hotels I've stayed at! Checking was very easy and there's a large parking lot with plenty of spaces. I had a King suite and it was massive, with a TV in the bedroom and in the living room, the shower was nicely updated as well. My only 2 small complaints was the shower pressure was way too hard and the lighting in the bathroom was weird. They also have a full-service restaurant which is great if you don't want to venture out of the hotel to eat. I did make it down to the gym which was huge for a hotel gym. You have to go down to the second floor and take a separate elevator, but it's worth it. There's a full rack of weights, ab machine, leg press, lots of treadmills, bikes, and ellipticals. Breakfast was fantastic, they had a custom-order omelet station and lots of delicious pre-cooked items such as scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, pancakes, bagels, cereal, yogurt. This is definitely not your Hampton Inn breakfast. They also have a daily Happy Hour with drinks and appetizers in the lobby every evening. Definitely stay here if you're in the area!

Yelp
We stayed here for two nights in a two bedroom suite and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The entire common area and our hallways were clean and the breakfast was complimentary (which by the way, was pretty stellar). The staff was great and the front desk concierge really was quick on any issues or requests we had up to the higher floors. There was a $10 parking fee (regardless of reward status), but honestly everything else was what made our stay special and worth it. We will absolutely try to stay here again.

Yelp
Well happy birthday to you Adam. I've never met you and I've been staying in your hotel. It will be here in March. I have been living in hell so far not by your staff because they are terrific group of people and I don't want to name names to get them in any trouble. But guess what Mr. Adams. I have a health condition or auto immune disease. It's called lupus. Heat makes me extremely sick and it shuts down my immune system and make me incapable of healing. I have been sick constantly but I can't get the proper rest because it's constantly hot in my room and a temperature of 70+°. Please don't tell me that you have no control over the AC units because that's a lie. I have moved to several floors because of this reason. When I moved to room 511. One of your brilliant maintenance guys was so kind and shut down the heat that's coming in my room. What is the purpose of having AC ducks and a heating duck. I room to move to several rooms all I'm asking because I have a doctors note. I have a disability in a disease it's to shut the heat off in my room. So far my insurance company has paid your hotel $80,000 plus not just the drinks and the food that we purchased in this industry. We were told that we were family by so many members of your staff, but yet I never met you. Is this something that could be accommodating because I do have a disability and I'm not trying to move to another floor because I moved to five different rooms. You tell me what should I do? Should I file a complaint with the government because I fall under ADA or is it possible so that you guys can just shut the heat down because I'm gonna be leaving your hotel probably in March. I wish I had someone to help me fight this battles because I'm extremely sick and I'm gonna be having surgery on February 1st. My husband, Chris Torre, who is a diamond member and he works in the insurance industry where he travels quite frequently and utilizes Hilton. He told me the front desk manager said no there's nothing I can do to deal with it. That's a damn lie especially since my insurance company is spending over $90,000 and we've been here for over a year will be a year in March. But Chris said that the staff told him sorry pretty much fuck you.

Yelp
Great location. Nice staff. Clean facilites. The breakfast was adequate and the happy hour was a nice touch. Several really nice restaurants with in feet of the hotel. Great experience.

Yelp
This hotel was very clean with helpful staff. It's a newer hotel, so everything was up to date and in great shape. The free happy hour for drinks was sweet; they had only snacks with the drinks, but that was fine. Wish my stay was a few days longer....I'll be staying here again next time in town.

Yelp
BEST HOTEL I'VE VE EVER STAYED AT! PRIVILEGED TO BE THERE. Excellent customer service. Extraordinarily Clean hotel. Aestically gorgeous inside. The suites are beautiful, with an excellent laybout, color scheme and beautiful furniture. The breakfast hot bar is exceptional and has a made to order omelet ststion. The hostesses are beyond amazing...tgey are so kind and helpful snd smiling. I travel extensively, this is the best hotel that I have stayed at in the USA . Kudos to the Hotel Manager, who addressed all my concerns expediently. Kudos, to the Food Services Manager who is nice and answered all my questions. The leadership team is engaged with the customers here and it shows and makes a huge difference in the quality and excellence.

Yelp
Great hotel with good staff. I have always love the embassy suites they have the best customer service and the best made to order breakfast. I have stayed in embassy suites mainly because of the breakfast, atrium, and managers special they have every night Mon - Frid. I have only good things to say about this stay. There aren't many restaurants near by but Alexandria is only about 10 Minutes away.

Yelp
*** 4.5 stars *** GREAT Hotel. Friendliest staff ever, and lots of perks: - Free shuttle within 3 miles of the hotel available on demand - Drinks and appetizers from 5:30 - 7:30 pm every night - Longer than usual breakfast hours (until 10:30 am on weekends) with a quite impressive breakfast spread - Great maid service and toiletries with generous restocking - Free Wifi - Pool / Gym / Business Center - Free parking with a large lot - The BEST pillows ever Definitely feels like a higher end hotel than it is. Very modern and clean with spacious rooms. I'd definitely stay here again!

Yelp
Not intending on staying here but my car broke down on 95 so I needed a quick place to spend the night while waiting for the mechanic shops to open. Prompt service at the front desk. We had a quick dinner at the in house restaurant. We were able to place our order and take the food to go up to our room. Room was large and comfortable. The breakfast spread which was included in your stay was very, very good. Made to order omelets, fresh fruit, yogurt, and grits. My children and I loved having all the choices. I was able to use the computers in the front lobby to check on some work since I had planned to be back in the office that day. All staff were friendly and helpful. I would stay here again, hopefully under better circumstances.

Yelp
Stayed here for 3 nights, about $250+ EACH night. Listen to this. First night- The TV cable didn't work, it would constantly disconnect so someone came in rebooted the cable- "should work once it restarts" and no, it actually got worse so i gave up then turned it off. I shrugged it off. Second night- i called to ask the room service for a spoon then they told me come downstairs to get it with an attitude. Lol supposed to be 4 star hotel by Hilton but they can't even give me a spoon. I just drank my soup without a spoon then 10 mins later someone knocks on my door. Ok. Why did you tell me to pick it up downstairs in the first place. I extended my stay each night at the front desk since I was not feeling good and didn't want to move. Second night going to third day- I went up to my room and my key wasn't working. I even tried each one separately by itself. Not working. So annoying, i had to go down to the front desk that i just came from. This happened two nights in a row. Told the front desk it was not working and Lorraine was working Sep 14th, 2019 0300- she told me that it was probably my fault and had another card together that made an error. No sorries, just attitude. I told her, i extended at the front desk the night before maybe they didn't extend it then. She renew my key. Note- She was the one I told her that I will be extending my stay for another night. Later afternoon, I was out of the hotel then i got a call from Chelsee- the manager? saying i left my luggage. I told her I already extended my stay with Lorraine. Chelsee argued that it was not extended. I told them- isn't it the hotel's fault if I said i already extended at the front desk and it was not done??? Even the manager didn't even say one sorry. (And I remembered Lorraine's name because i asked for it since she gave me attitude while renewing my key.) Then i realized. She didn't even extend my stay properly so i had to deal with this. They didn't renew my parking pass or my room key EVERY NIGHT. + breakfast tickets. So i had to go to the front desk to renew all these myself various times. I didn't know it was my responsibility to ask to renew the pass and the keys. Maybe train your staff to do what needs to be done if people extend their stay AT THE FRONT DESK face to face. Oh my goodness. Embassy suites by Hilton with terrible service i never want to go through. Each staff i dealt with has an attitude. I would've stayed a whole week but nope. Never again. I got better service at 3 star hotel I stayed for one night. Felt like I wasted $800 with inconveniences.

Yelp
This place is amazing. We checked in on Thursday and the staff was so friendly and welcoming. The self parking was great and saved the expensive parking at the ES Arlington. This location feels new and modern. They have a fire pit outside at the entrance and a fireplace right inside off of the lobby which lends to a nice atmosphere. We enjoyed the free happy hour both nights and once again the staff was friendly and stayed on top of the needs of the guests. The happy hour bartender is the best and his music was great too. The happy hour snacks were the same both nights fruit, hummus, cheese tray, salsa, chips and popcorn. The second night we were actually able to try the happy hour bbq wings and they came out hot and were delish. Lots of people ordered them that night. They were delish. The room was clean and bright. The bed and pillows were great. The only (negative). I can see about this hotel is the position of the gym. Depending on where you're located in the hotel getting here can be a hike. It's like they had a second thought and stuck it on the outside of the main building. You have to go to the second floor then down another elevator to floor 1 to access the gym. I guess this is so workout wear and swimwear are away from the lobby but seems as though there would be other options. We will definitely return especially due to the easy on-off of I-95. Once you get there it's nice though. Need hand sanitizer though.

Yelp
So my love and I stayed for a weekend, as we were in town to attend a family wedding. My dad arrived earlier and was telling me how friendly and attentive the staff was, and the breakfast was on point. The breakfast???? Well when we arrived they immediately were able to accommodate my request for early arrivals. There is a nearby mall, and the hotel shuttle will pickup and drop you off. My dad mentions the shuttle driver was such a nice and helpful person. Now for the breakfast, we expected a regular continental breakfast but that was not the case. They have a full bar area and also dining area. Omelets made to order which made our day and they had turkey sausage??? Which may seem not a big deal but usually options are limited to pork. So of course a win after a night at a Caribbean wedding. All in all definitely a gem.

Yelp
I went on a school trip and we had to wait 45 minutes because they messed up all the rooms. After we finally got in my friends who had a very nice room had a shower that got flooded twice, and the people in the room had to wait until 12:30 in the morning to get a working shower. After that debacle, we slept and went down to eat breakfast, to find pretty bad food and only one day of pancakes, which were in my opinion the only decent food there. The milk wasn't cold and I was in a bad mood because the alarm was so annoying. Bad hotel, not fun experience especially for the price of the rooms

Jake H.

Yelp
The rooms were fine except that the shower flooded and wen we got here they screwed up the rooms which meant that we got to our rooms a full half hour late. Also the alarms suck.

Becca T.

Yelp
The breakfast alone makes this hotel worth it! By far, this is the quietest hotel along I-95 we've stayed at. Conveniently located. Room was clean and the staff were incredibly attentive and helpful. We drive up and down 95 frequently and this is by far the best hotel we've stayed at!

Alan V.

Yelp
We have stayed at many Embassy Suites and have loved them, but this hotel does not meet their usually high standards. Our room had not been vacuumed, and the bathroom floor was filthy. The creamer for coffee was out of date and congealed. We asked the front desk personnel to put in a housekeeping request to fix the issues but either they didn't put the request in or housekeeping ignored it because nothing was done.

Yelp
We stayed here for a week and a half over the holidays to visit family. This Embassy Suites is in the perfect location for what we wanted. Close to everything. DC and the Woodbridge area. The staff at the front desk were terrific. Hands down some of the best we've dealt with. Our room was spotless when we checked in. The keyless entry system is very convenient. Shuttle service another plus with about a 3 mile radius for guest use. The complimentary breakfast was certainly a positive. Nice selection of every typical breakfast food to different breads and sweets. The afternoon reception was certainly popular by more than just hotel guests. There was a good crowd almost every evening. Lots of locals. Cool stuff. Some of the dinner items were better than others. To be expected. If there was anything that I would criticize the hotel about, it would be the need to get ahold and maintain the day to day wear and tear that happens over time. Hall carpets, doorjambs and doors are starting to look a bit worn. Other than this small issue, this is a great place to stay and we'll certainly return on our next trip.
google avatar

Yelp
Will definitely make this my go-to hotel when I'm in the DC area. A newer hotel that is exceptionally well maintained. I don't consider myself a "frequent traveler" but I do travel often enough for work that I've experienced several different brands of hotel. I've rarely seen a hotel get so many facets of service right... modern facility, clean comfortable room, professional friendly staff, exceptional housekeeping. This Embassy Suites became home over the course of 10 weeks while I was in DC for training. Checkin was a breeze. Used the Hilton app and was handed keys right away with no wait in line. Room was nicer than expected, maybe because this is a newer property. I had a king suite. Plenty enough space for me. Even enough space to squeeze in the family (wife, 3 kids) on a few weekends when we had things to do in DC. Fitness center was large and always clean, with a good selection of equipment - free weights, bikes, elliptical machines, treadmills, and one multi-use station. The pool was average size with a lifeguard on duty (don't always see that) but no hot tub . The breakfast was impressive. They had really good selection of hot and cold items that were always well stocked. The omelette station with made to order eggs was a huge plus as well. The dining area was fairly large, but often crowded during peak times as to be expected. Because if it's location and easy access to 95 and DC, the hotel is a popular stop for tour groups (and buses), so the main seating area is often reserved during peak breakfast times (7:00) for groups. There is plenty of seating in the restaurant dining area and lounge however, so after being caught in the rush a couple times, I adjusted my schedule to get there ahead of the large groups and just sat in the restaurant area instead. I went to the manager's reception often at the end of the day. Nothing impressive about the selection of food. It was usually just chips, salsa, and a selection of diced fruits and cheeses. Of course, it's not intended to be a full meal either so manage your expectations. The service, on the other hand, was outstanding. Richard at the bar, Ivory serving whatever you ordered up, and the team in the kitchen all did a fabulous job. Overall very impressed with the entire team working at this hotel. Gregory, Alex and the gang at the front desk were truly professional. Those at the manager's reception, the bar lounge area, kitchen, as well as the morning team far exceeded my expectations for service. Well done to your team. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. If it's a matter of a few extra $$ or few minutes on your drive, the level of service is worth it. You can't beat the value for the quality that is provided.

Unfortunately, I left my large medical wedge shaped pillow when I checked out. I sleep with 2 hotel pillows on top of the wedge; therefore, because it was under the white pillows, I did not see it when I checked out. Once we got home, and noticed we had left it, we called the lost and found immediately. The recording said to leave a message, and someone would get back with us. No one ever called us back, but it was ok, because we knew we were coming back to this area today. I just talked with the lady at the front desk and the pillow wedge is not in the lost and found. my thought was either it is somewhere in the hotel, or someone took it home. In my frustration I said to the dear lady (African American, heavy set, green turquoise sweater, 2 curls hanging in front of her face) "I hope someone is enjoying my pillow". She replied, "if you really left your pillow here, it would be in the lost and found". So, I guess I am delusional. Really!! We're so done with you!

Just want to do a follow-up post now that our trip is over. After our review, we got an email from Hilton Guest Assistance. They said that Management at the hotel would assist us with our problem. The following day we met with Springfield's Embassy Manager and explain everything that occurred. Meghan was truly sorry for all that occurred to us. She, like us, had no idea why $600 was held on our card. But she tried her best to work with our credit card company (CCC) to get the charges reverse. ugh!, CCC was of no help as they took the attitude that it was not their fault. And to no avail, our card had $600 remaining in pending for the rest of our trip. As an apology, she placed a bottle of champagne in our room. Honestly, Meghan and the staff there is top notch, and we would have given Embassy 5 stars if it was not for the digital key. Two days after we checked out, well after our trip has ended, our CC was finally corrected. $1400 that was pending was removed and around $800 of our stay was charged. And to this date, Hilton main office still has not explained why $600 was left pending during our vacation. Being Hilton Honor member, we at least expect a free night for our next stay or points added to our account. Nope, as far as we can tell after our trip ended, Hilton consider the issue resolved and took their money. Seriously looking into membership with another hotel chain after this experience. If we ever do stay at Hilton again, we will avoid using the digital key at all cost. Best to just check in directly and review cost before allowing them to place pending charges on your card. At best we can only change our review from 1 to 3 stars. And that was all do to the staff there.
