4 best food stops when on a road trip through Atherton Tablelands - SilverKris
"Located on Mareeba’s main road near a major highway junction, this family‑run ice‑creamery turned production hub churns out around 600 scoops on a busy day and offers about 45 gelato and sorbet flavours made from local ingredients. Born from former mango, avocado and passionfruit farmers branching into a fruit‑based business, the creamery uses produce such as dragon fruit, wattleseed and lilly pilly to create distinctive flavours; visitors can watch ice cream being made through a viewing window and buy scoops to round off a road‑trip through the Tablelands." - Catherine Best

Amazing little spot on our way north — such a welcome treat on a really hot Cairns day! The ice creams were absolutely beautiful, super tasty, and clearly made with care. They’ve also got awesome other treats and unique gifts to browse. Such a cool little place to stop in and refresh — we’ll definitely be back if we’re passing through again.

Very happy to drop a 5 Star Review here, I had a fab icecream at a reasonable price, great service and a good atmosphere with lots of people having a good time.
Double scoop with a creamy Rum and Raisin with Mint Chocolate Chip. Lovely!
I would only ask for a dog friendly area to be able to sit outside and enjoy

I live locally and should visit more often. Always have trouble with deciding which ice-cream to have. ALL so good. Everything is spot on. Staff are great. Thankyou for giving us somewhere to enjoy the good things in life.

Wow! What an amazing ice-creamery. So many options to choose from, celiac conscious (dedicated utensils) and gluten free waffle cones. Great cafe attached with family friendly seating. Plenty of sweets for the sweet tooth… including gluten free pancakes! They also make their own beef jerky that I suggest you don’t skimp on. With confidence I will be back!

I tried a scoop of Mango and Strawberry Sorbet in a cone for $8.50. It's like they used sour low quality fruit especially for the strawberry one, and the mango one had barely any flavor to speak of. Kuranda Gelato serves better ice cream.

I'm glad I stopped to check out Emerald Creek Ice Creamery. The wide array of choices was impressive, but I decided to go for their sorbet after hearing rave reviews. I opted for a double cone of Lilly Pilly and Davidson plum. Both flavors were fantastic, but the Davidson plum stood out for its authentic fruit taste. Overall, it's a fantastic stop if you're in the area, offering delicious treats with a variety of flavors to satisfy any palate."

Yelp
This is a great place to stop between Mareeba & Kuranda for delicious home made ice cream, sorbet, berry jams, fudge, gifts, Jaques coffee and friendly service. I tried the pistachio ice cream (amongst the best I've tried!) and the apple pie ice cream, which really tasted like apple pie. A fabulous treat :)
