Emerald Chinese Restaurant

Old reliable! Whenever I don’t feel like cooking, I know I can place an order here and get a meal quickly. The food is consistent and not oily or salty. I don’t feel bad after eating their food. The workers are always respectful and quick. I wouldn’t recommend eating in.

Not worth the money they bearly put any meat on there platters look this is the chicken chowmien platter for 8.99 as you can see here after lifting the top off all I got was some flavorless rice and a lot of Oily Onions And Literally Only 3 I repeat Three small Pieces of Chicken meat or whatever it was it was Clobbered with Onions Guys who wants Onions for Dinner!!! I was So so very Upset after driving home and sitting down to Eat I should give No Stars because this was not the first time!!

I order take out, on a regular. Food is prepared fast, and priced reasonable!

Paid extra for extra beef in beef and broccoli....didn't even get the normal amount. They should be ashamed charging that type of money for a bowl of broccoli. This was all the beef one I removed the 2lbs of broccoli 🥦....

Hands down one of the best and freshly made Chinese dishes. I’ve ordered a few different things off their menu, each time it was FIRE. I’m a New Yorker so I’m really picky about my Chinese food haha, but they do the job and do it WELL! Every time I place an order over the phone or face to face they’re so pleasant. I always wish them the best in their business!

Food is fantastic, service is fantastic, and it's a hole in the wall, which is fantastic to me but maybe not to others

My nephew loves I mean loves this place he gets the spare ribs extra sauce, with pork fried rice, and cheese fries with spare rib sauce on them. I get the shrimp and broccoli it is to die for. It taste the way Chinese is supposed to or how it did in the 90s. We live in Allentown. We drive all the way to Harrisburg for it. We ordered 5 orders, for the whole house and it only came to $53. I spend more than that ordering two pizzas and a soda. Hands down Emeralds can take my money

It's the hood chinese food but they fell off the last few years. Food don't taste the same . Must be using less sodium. Lol

This is the best Chinese restaurant in HBG. Full stop. Super flavorful and fresh. You walk in and they have woks going. So far I've tried the hunan and general tsos- both were great. The fried rice is tasty too. We also had an order of crab rangoons and they were good, but could maybe use a little more crab.

Great food. Generous portions. Good price. Made fast. General Tso's chicken and curry chicken were excellent.

Love their food one of the best Chinese food places in the harrisburg area. The restaurant is clean & the workers are nice.

My co-workers and I work on Front Street and this is out go-to for chinese. I am a fan of their Shrimp Mei Fun (with an extra egg) and also got another coworker hooked on it, definitely the best in the area! I recently tried the fried wings with Shrimp fried rice.. My oh my! Never in a million years would I have imagined getting such a tasty, simple wing from a CHINESE PLACE!!! The flavor was on point, almost as if its marinated or something. My mind was BLOWN!!! Today I will be getting a general Tos's combo platter which has been very good every other time ive gotten it. Definitely worth a try :-)

I like their tostone n black garlic sauce !! Quick service as well and Yelp wants me to keep writing hopefully this will do lol

Open till 12am Allot of parking next door in Family Dollar parking log Friendly staff Looks very clean In the hood but quiet (went at 11:30pm on a Friday) Really good food but shrimp fried rice had ALLOT of onions but I didn't mind but the boneless spare ribs I told her on the phone well done almost burn when I went to pick it up it wasn't well done she put it back on the grill I told her again almost burn, I get home still pink and chewy yuck!!! Gave them to the dog! Now prices OUTRAGEOUS 3 large fries $3.25 each 1 large fried plantain $5.00 Pork fried rice w/ 4 chicken wings $5.75 Shrimp fried rice w/ boneless spare ribs $7.95 1 cup of garlic sauce $1.00 6% tax $1.77 = $31.22 I lived in Puerto Rico, Queens, Long Island, south and North New Jersey, Miami and Philadelphia and this been the most expensive Chinese corner restaurant!!!

I live a few blocks away from Emerald Chinese and go there quite often. The food is good, the staff is friendly, and the service is prompt. My favorites are the combos, especially Orange or General Tso's chicken. I've tried most items on their menu and have never been disappointed. The area may seem a little shady, but I've walked there during all hours of the day and have never had an issue.

I was driven here because Chans was disgusting. Food is decent. Definetly better than most chinese places. Cant go wrong if you're just looking for a quick bite.

Good for takeout. Fast service. If they delivered I'd do more business with them. Harrisburg is a bit of a food desert. Best Chinese take out in the area.

Looks can be decieving. There is a trash problem outside the resturant, but the resturant inside is clean. The food is delisious and the staff is friendly and fast.

this is a small little chinese place on emerald and third street inside the emerald shopping center. the food here is alright, i think i've only had general tso's chicken & fried rice. they have a lot where you can park your car. i havent been here in awhile, but it was alright from what i remember.
