"Stroll 15 minutes through a lush rainforest to this gorgeous 40-foot waterfall grotto, located deep within the World Heritage site of Morne Trois Pitons National Park. Railings and a broad, well-maintained trail make the trip accessible even to non-hikers, though the tree-fringed pool—which is open to swimmers—gets unpleasantly packed when cruise ships pull into port. Serious photographers should haul along tripods and cable or remote shutter releases to capture the low-light, but oh-so-lovely scenery, which has become one of Dominica’s top attractions."

Emerald Pool is one of the island’s true natural treasures. The site is absolutely beautiful, with lush surroundings and crystal-clear water that make the short hike totally worth it. It’s well maintained, and the path is designed for a self-guided tour, with informative signs that make the experience smooth and enjoyable. That said, it’s a bit bittersweet to know that such a national beauty has been privatized. Places like this should ideally benefit the government and the local people directly, not just private companies. Still, the care taken to preserve and showcase the site is undeniable. The water is stunning!! though definitely on the cold side! At the end of the visit, you’ll find several small shops, but most of them offer the same limited selection of items, and prices are on the higher end! something to keep in mind if you’re hoping to shop for souvenirs.

Amazing site in Dominica. You can enter with a day pass or 7-day pass which is valid at other sites (like the Indian River). The water is cool and fresh. The path to the pool has been made way more accessible than in prior years but those with mobility issues might struggle.

Stunning place. We got there as it opened and had the place to ourselves. Lovely swimming pond and access to the waterfall and a short circular walk. Lots of stalls outside for souvenirs etc and a cafe changing rooms at the entrance. Helpful national park staff. Covered by the National park Entrance ticket. As we left it was heaving with tour groups from Cruise ships and wouldn't have been anywhere near as good so avoid these days or get there early as we did.

Gorgeous short and easy hike to a swimmable, emerald colored pool under a waterfall. It is crowded when cruises are in port but it can be empty at off peak hours. Mesmerizing place. Easy access to the water.

Emerald Pool is a stunning waterfall with a green tree canopy giving it its name. It is a short walk from the parking lot on a paved path. There are steps. Once you arrive at the waterfall, there is an observation deck. You are able to swim in the pool to experience the waterfall to it's fullest!

Very easy and short trail to the pool. Well maintained and accessible even after a rainy day in wet season. We were the only visitors on Sunday visit and the informative movie room was locked. Still the nature is gorgeous. 15min in total walk - the shortest probably among the trails.

It was raining the day we went, so there was no wait. The water pool looked nothing like photos online, probably because it was raining. It was almost murky and freezing cold. We didn't eat at the restaurant, but the food smelled really good. There's also a room full of interesting info about the pool and history of the country. If this is your first stop among many popular spots associated with the National Park, buy the 1 week park pass- it's a nice little $ saver.
