Emerald Sea Resort, Ngwe Saung Beach

Do not stay at this hotel!! It's overpriced and the environment is terrible. The hotel is full of mosquitoes and bugs, and the facilities in the room are super, super old. The door lock is an old-fashioned one that often doesn't work. And the most important issue—the hygiene is awful! The "comforter" is just two sheets with a blanket sandwiched in between, and the blanket is filthy! And the beach in front of the hotel is full of trash, full of garbage! It's right next to a filthy ditch, and nobody even cares to clean it up!

Hotel Review – Ngwe Saung Beach I recently stayed at a charming hotel in Ngwe Saung Beach and had a mostly pleasant experience. One of the highlights was the clean swimming pool nestled under the shade of large trees, which made it wonderfully cool and relaxing even during the hottest hours of the day. The hotel sits on a spacious compound, offering a sense of openness and tranquility that’s perfect for a beach getaway. The in-house restaurant and beach bar both offer fair prices, which was a welcome surprise given the quality of the food and drinks. You can enjoy your meals or cocktails without worrying about overspending. That said, the room size was a bit of a downside — it felt a little narrow and tight, especially if you're staying with family or have lots of luggage. However, this was balanced out by what I consider the best feature of the stay: the outdoor shower area. It added a refreshing and luxurious touch to the overall experience — perfect for rinsing off after a dip in the sea. Overall, it’s a great value stay with serene vibes, especially for nature and beach lovers. I’d return for the pool and outdoor shower alone.

The swimming pool is surrounded by greenery, which made it the perfect place to relax during the rainy season. I really appreciated that the hotel uses local Myanmar brands for its furnishings and amenities something I personally loved.||The price is very reasonable, especially for the rainy season, and the breakfast was one of my favorites well prepared and with plenty of options.||The staff were very attentive and great service. ||The body massage was excellent and totally worth the price. At the beach bar, I really enjoyed listening to the sound of the waves and looking out at the sea it was such an amazing feeling. The seafood was also delicious and great value for money.||I highly recommend this place and I’ll definitely be coming back again!

The Emerald Sea is hands-down my favorite hotel in Ngwe Saung. The rooms are excellent, the pool is great, and the food - especially the breakfast buffet - is top-notch. The staff are consistently friendly, attentive, and go out of their way to help. I’ve stayed here twice in a row now, and honestly, I wouldn’t consider staying anywhere else unless I had to. It’s the best hotel in Ngwe Saung. Bonus points: it’s pet-friendly and has been incredibly accommodating to my little dog Pan Pan.

Nice rooms and romantic grounds, friendly people and really cool massage services. Spa therapists exceed expectations, they give really perfect massages, one of the best I've ever had. Definitely recommend. Lovely beach with sunbeds and parasols and easy access to the sea is also a strength. The bathroom facility is some dated. However, it is still functional and adequate.

Traditional Myanmar hotel with excellent service. Smiling staff to ensure your stay is calm and problem free. Suits families and solo travellers as friendly and accommodating. Relaxed ambience and a perfect place for taking a break. Beautiful grounds, lush gardens and paths leading straight to the beach. shaded sun loungers both pool and beach side. Security look after your belongings and keep a close eye on guests too. Beach Bar with comfortable areas for drinking and chillaxing. Staff will bring food and drinks over as you order. Extensive breakfast included in the room rate. Something to suit every taste. Good value and great service.

Its very best staying experience. The rooms are bigger and amenities provided are best in quality. Staff are very helpful and kind nature. Location is good to relax as no noise surrounding. Recommended for relaxed vacation. Food and breakfast are tasty specially their tea break snack and best milk tea in Ngwe Saung.

During my three-day stay at this hotel in March 2024, I was thoroughly impressed by the exceptional service provided. The ambiance of the hotel is truly captivating, resembling a serene forest retreat with a breathtaking view of the sea. The spacious room easily accommodated our needs, even with an additional bed. The staff members were incredibly accommodating, always willing to fulfill any request with a smile. One of the highlights of our stay was the breakfast, which offered a wide variety of options to suit every palate. The swimming pool, while not directly overlooking the sea, provided a tranquil setting surrounded by lush trees. Its ample size allowed for enjoyable swims at any time of day, shielded from the intense sunlight. However, what truly stood out to me was the complimentary dessert served in the evening—an unexpected and delightful touch that added to the overall experience. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Ngwe Saung and look forward to choosing it again for my future stays in the area.
