Besides great food and delicious beer Emerald Vale also offers a sweet cottage to stay at. Full kitchen if you want to cook and complete peace and quiet when the restaurant closes to enjoy the African skies. Thank you for hosting me!

My mom and I had lunch there. We ordered the hawaiian pizza and chicken strips with chips. Beautiful scenery and lovely setup, so peaceful. Staff were friendly and assisted quickly, our food order arrived at our table sooner than I expected. There was a lot of parking available and signs everywhere, making it easy to find everything. I'll definitely be back again and will maybe try out the mountain bike trails they have there on the premises.

If you’re exploring the Wild Coast, a stop at Emerald Vale Brewery is an absolute must. Tucked between the Chintsa and Cefani rivers, this destination captures the very essence of South Africa’s coastal charm. Local Legend Chris Heaton and his team have crafted a space that’s a perfect blend of nature, adventure, and warm hospitality. The setting here is truly magical. With the rugged beauty of the Wild Coast surrounding you, trails for mountain biking, hiking, or even just a lazy amble invite you to soak up the scenery at your own pace. The food is proper, hearty South African fare, perfect for refuelling after a trail or to pair with one of the craft beers on offer. Whether you’re here for the views, the vibe, or a taste of something local, Emerald Vale offers a memorable Wild Coast experience that goes far beyond a cold drink.

What a delightful place! We enjoyed such a wonderful Sunday lunch here - the staff are super friendly and their food's really tasty! We also tried a sample tray of their home brew beer, which we thoroughly enjoyed. There are a couple of walking trails and we would like to hike some of them soon. Great experience!

Great vibe, excellent food and great beer. The staff are all so friendly and very helpful. One of the best place for a chilled afternoon with family and friends. The play area for the little ones is close by. Definitely a place to try if you have not been there yet. Before or after you can take a walk (hike) along some of the trails starting from a 1km upto a 28km. If you a cyclist there are some lovely trails to challenge yourself on but don't for get to grab a beer afterwards.

We Ave been to a few places like this all over the country. My first impression was the size of the salad and the ingredients. Excellent 👌 and generous! Also their vegetarian and vegan pizzas are delicious. Best gluten free pizzas I have ever had! Highly recommended! I will definitely be visiting again.

Beer and burgers!!! Both excellent. The venue is rustic and superbly laid back. Good vegetarian choices (your vegetarians will make funny happy vegetarian noises here) so bring your vegetarian!
