Emeralda Resort Ninh Binh

Emeralda Resort is a real gem, with true hospitality: going beyond the normal call of duty! Sending ginger tea to perk up my elderly Mom, who was feeling under the weather, organising for a Nurse checkup & medicines for her & sending staff to the village to pick up some products for her was beyond wonderful! The bar shuts at 10 but the staff very sweetly, cling filmed more drinks for us to take to our room. The food was amazing, with a whole list of local delicacies that we couldn't get enough of! The resort is indeed stunning with an outdoor & heated indoor pool with lots of paths, parts to explore & several photogenic spots. There's more to explore nearby as well, villages, UNESCO Heritage sites etc.

We particularly liked the spacious hotel complex in a beautiful garden. The very tasteful and spacious hotel bungalows and the large pool with a beautiful view of nature and delicious cocktails deserve special mention. We also liked the restaurants very much. Super tasty and a great selection. We recommend a bike tour in the countryside, the sampan ride and the mountain hike to the Hang Mua temple complex.

It was perfect for our needs after a 2 week tour of Vietnam. Restful and peaceful. Communication was fine, staff were friendly and the complex was lovely with lots of character. Food was very good and we enjoyed our spa treatments. A nice place to u wind and relax. We didn’t go sightseeing and it’s abit far from the attractions if that’s important to one. It’s also near cement factories. They do offer half and full day tours.

We moved here after a disappointing experience elsewhere, and we're so glad we did. A bit away from the attractions, but the resort has so much to offer (pools, restaurants etc.) that you don't feel isolated. A lovely property, with little cabins spread around the grounds, but within easy walk of reception, pools, spa and restaurants.|The room was huge, very nicely decorated, well appointed and had a lovely comfortable bed. Breakfast in one restaurant was great and we ate both nights in the other restaurant, and really enjoyed our food. We didn't use the outdoor pool (a bit cold) but we did use the indoor heated pool, which was lovely. I had a wonderful scrub treatment in the spa. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The hotel has amazing design with all facilities, located in a rural setting. Room was spacious and nice. However the hotel is obviously old and shows its age. Some of the facilities are also not available perhaps due to lack of demand.|Pool and bar area is nice. Spa was disappointing, as the staff lacked experience. The restaurant has nice decor and menu, but the food is just OK. Nothing to write home about. Breakfast area is nice and the staff provide good service.

Stayed here for three nights on our honeymoon. Very nice resort, it is situated quite far out & can be costly on taxis into the main area. Very nice buffet breakfast provided & nice restaurant on site. |Both outdoor and indoor pools were lovely however may require more frequent cleaning. |Some areas require more updating/ maintenance but we were happy in our room & had everything we needed, beds were super comfy. |Staff were very friendly and attentive to us and were very happy with their service.|Our highlight was definitely our private tour with Thom. We done a day tour with him & was 10/10 from start to finish. We was so knowledgeable, took loads of pics for us, so experienced and professional, I honestly couldn’t recommend him enough. Yes it is slightly more costly booking through the hotel than online but we felt it was worth every penny.

Lovely hotel and surroundings, nice and peaceful. The rooms are lovely, spacious and clean. The reception staff are super helpful. We ate at the a la carte restaurant during our stay, the staff there wereless attentive and over the three evenings we were there they forgot items on our order each evening and on our last evening we waited an hour for our food to arrive even though we were the only ones in the restaurant. The buffet breakfast was hectic but lots of choice.

We had an amazing stay at Emeralda Resort Ninh Binh. The natural beauty surrounding the resort, with its stunning limestone mountains and lush greenery, made for a peaceful and picturesque setting. The resort’s traditional Vietnamese design and modern amenities were perfect, and the service was exceptional. The staff were friendly and attentive, always making sure we felt welcomed. Dining was fantastic, and we enjoyed relaxing by the pools and exploring the area. Overall, a beautiful and relaxing escape!
