Emeraude Kivu Resort

Very friendly staff. Some tasty but small portions meals available on the menu. Con: Coffee, and any baked good, is substandard. However, they have great rooms with an amazing view. Hot water showers with high water pressure (no shower caps provided). Only room downside ... There is no kettle in the room and only one small water bottle is provided daily.

This is a wonderful place to stay in Rwanda!! The hotel is gorgeous with comfy beds and the best showers! Daniel and the rest of the team were incredible hosts and made our stay so wonderful!!!

The place used to be a nice place. But now, it has cockroaches in rooms, smells, stains on pillows, smells on balcony. It was my second visit in 2yrs but the only thing that is still remaining is a good location and people who are willing to help. Otherwise, it's overpliced. If rooms were 50$, it would be a good deal. Otherwise, you can get better in Rusizi.

A very lovely place to stay if you are in this part of the country, with comfortable rooms with great view over the lake, good food and cold beer in the restaurant and extremely hospitable service! About 1h15m from visitor centre of Nyungwe N.P.

This place is a wee gem on Lake Kivu. It has a lovely restaurant and stunning views over the lake. The rooms are clean, comfortable and have a lovely balcony. Food and drinks are good, reasonably priced and great service. You can swim in the lake also. Customer service was amazing and the staff really went above and beyond (including helping us to fix a flat tyre!). Really lovely place to stay and highly recommend it!

Nice hotel with a lovely view of the lake. Staff were all nice. Absolutely beautiful gardens, nicely maintained. Room nice with a comfortable bed and sufficient size. Location was beneficial for attractions we wanted to see--chimpanzees and Colobus monkeys. Dining area on balcony was really nice, again facing the lake. Food was good but a better would have been nice.

What a cool place by the kivu lake.Great view of the lake & the Bukavu,DRC view.Nice staff, lovely breakfast. I love the balcony ambience, facing the nolstaslgic view of kivu fishermen. Secure as it can be. Armed security by the roadside. Next visit in kamembe must be Emeraude Kivu Resort.

Very obliging. Waitress competent and professional. We stopped in for a cold drink and felt so welcomed that we stayed for lunch. Varied menu. Good food, reasonable prices. We enjoyed the view. Seemed to be a lunch spot favoured by some local business people.
