EMERIA Dinard Hôtel Thalasso & Spa (Dinard, Brittany) 2 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"France’s spectacular Emerald Coast is the setting for Emeria Dinard Hôtel Thalasso & Spa, a substantial 170-room resort hotel with panoramic views of the English channel. The sober exterior — and the size of the place — may lead you to imagine conventional hotel décor, but Emeria’s rooms and suites are outfitted in a convincingly casual seaside style; the cottages go further into surf-shack territory. Only aesthetically, though — underneath the humble seaside style is a modern and luxurious resort, complete with a thalassotherapy spa and a pair of fine restaurants, the flagship O’Sens and the more adventurous L’Arsaour." - Tablet Hotels

A Perfect Stay - We Extended from 1 to 3 Nights! Coming from the hospitality industry in Switzerland, I know and value exceptional service. Your team delivered exactly that. Every member of staff we encountered—at reception, in the restaurant, bar, and spa—was profoundly professional and attentive. Despite the hotel being fully booked, the atmosphere was calm and we never felt any rush or stress. We had only booked one night, but we felt so at home immediately that we decided to stay for three. A huge thank you to the Reception Manager and his team for their flexibility and for making our extended stay so seamless. A truly impressive operation. Warm Regards from Zurich.

We stayed at Emeria Resort in Dinard, booked a “cottage” for 2 adults and 1 child. For a 4-star hotel, it was just okay. No side tables in the room (apparently guests are expected to balance glasses, books, phones on thin air). Once you leave the main lobby, the decor loses all charm - cheap posters line the halls. it’s like they spent the entire design budget on the front entrance and restaurant and forgot the rest. The view from the lobby and restaurant is breathtaking, no question, postcard worthy. But then you look at the prices. The food is seriously overpriced, and I nearly laughed when a latte made by an automated machine set me back 7 euros. At that price, I expected at it to be made by a human at least - truly awful. The spa pools are nice too - definitely a highlight. Too bad when you get back to your room, you lose all relaxation. So yes, the sea view and pools are stunning… but everything else? Pretty forgettable. Save your euros and stay somewhere that remembers travelers need both character and side tables.

The hotel is beautiful and the view of the water is even better. The thalasso treatments are excellent. The food is excellent in the main dining room. However, the A/C installation was poorly designed. The air comes out between the entry way and the bedroom. The air return is over the entry door. So, the cool air stays in the entry and never gets to the bedroom, where it is needed. Plus, like many French hotels, the temperature is blocked and from time to time the temperature is increased centrally. The duvet is winter weight. So, if you don't like to sleep in heat after you've paid for A/C, don't go here in the hot months. The "cottages" don't have A/C - this is a review of the rooms in the hotel itself.

From the moment we were checked in by Ian, we were had an amazing stay. The hotel and its staff are superb. Very friendly and helpful. We extended our stay and had the most relaxing time. Would highly recommend without hesitation. We will definitely return.

The hotel facilities are great and very comfortable. But the service in the restaurant and the bar particularly needs a complete change from the top down. I have just left Emira and told my wife I don’t think I have ever had to wait as long or ask for the same thing so many times as I have had to for the last 2 days. The system in the bar doesn’t work at all and it means none of the staff know what is going on. It’s chaos!!! I can only assume everyone is in training, including the manager. Please address this problem so that the service resembles the facilities. It is unfair on the guests and the staff.

**This review is not about the excellent SPA staff "inside" the SPA facility but rather focuses on one particular employee at the SPA reception desk.** ||||During our visit, one of the receptionists handed us a flimsy, poor-quality bag—the kind typically used for dog waste—to hold our slippers. What made it worse was that she clearly had an **Emeria-branded bag** in her hand at the time but **chose** to give us this degrading alternative. ||||When I politely questioned her about the inappropriate bag, she responded with a dismissive *"Sorry?"* in a rude tone, accompanied by a confrontational glare—as if **I** were the one causing a problem, not her. Her attitude was completely unprofessional, making us feel disrespected rather than welcomed. ||||This kind of behavior has no place in a reputable spa. The rest of the team may be wonderful, but this particular staff member needs retraining in basic courtesy and professionalism. ||||

Location impeccable, premises renovated with style. The gym and breakfast very good. Missing air conditions in cottages. Thanks for a pleasant stay in Emeria Dinard.

We really loved the pools and our room – everything was clean and very comfortable. However, we were a bit disappointed that, despite having an early 6 a.m. departure, no takeaway breakfast was offered, even though the full buffet was already prepared and it was paid.
