Emery, Autograph Collection

"Relatively new to the Minneapolis scene—it opened in early 2019—Emery, Autograph Collection has already made quite the impression on travelers. The downtown hotel has 229 pet-friendly rooms, with 12 to 14-foot ceilings and rainfall showers in the bathrooms. But perhaps the best reason to book a stay here is to take advantage of Giulia, the in-house restaurant focused on Northern Italian cuisine and specializing in small plates, freshly made pasta, and oven-fired pizzas using locally sourced ingredients."

We stayed nine nights, and I don’t think I have ever slept this well in a hotel. Shades completely darken the room, and I never heard any noises, either from the hallway or from any other room. Not a sound! The room is complete but relatively small because guests are encouraged to “hang out” in the lobby and for that purpose they provide a very comfortable quiet lobby with games and a lively bar with a great happy hour. What more could one want? I had only one minor issue, housekeeping didn’t do the room despite explicitly asking, but in their favor I was in and out of the room so we probably just missed the timing. The important thing is that when I asked about it the staff handled it with a genuine smile. The staff at this hotel genuinely like their job and it shows. If I had to pick only one word to describe Emery it would be “FUN”.

The rooms are clean, but not very updated. And I know they are going for a vibe that isn't modern per se, but they need updating or refreshing even within the decor they are going for. The lighting choices are strange and awkward to turn on/off, and there is a huge lamp that not only blocks the TV but the base also blocks safe access to the far side of the bed. I had to be really careful not to stub the shizz out of my toes. The table can't really be worked at if that is what you are there for, but the lobby has a great working space and the plants are amazing. Front desk has been quick and very friendly. I do think when the city is filled with smoke and there is an air quality warning they should provide free water in the rooms to guests. It's not their fault obviously that the air is hurting my throat, but it would be a nice touch for a 4 star hotel. Update at end of stay: housekeeping was too inconsistent. We stayed for 3 nights and housekeeping only came once. Well, to be fair, they came a second time at 4:30pm, after we had been gone for 8 hours and were back in the room. That's too late for a room clean. I had to ask for engineering to unclog the bathroom sink because it wasn't draining. Not sure if that ever happened, as it never did drain properly. I'm on vacation, didn't want to ask more than once. We made do! Location is fine. Knowing what I know now, I would have chosen something closer to the North Loop where we have mainly been eating.

First impression of an Emery property and we loved it! The ambiance of the cafe/lounge was fun to walk through every day, and the general decor was so well executed and thought out while also touching on the Minneapolis roots. This was our first time in the city, so great location we were close to everything or at least public transit to get there! Y'all's lobby staff, at least in the morning, was 110% some of the best hospitality I've experienced in recent history. A blonde lady that checked us in in the morning especially really set the tone for the whole experience, and got us really excited to see the city, but also the younger man on the mid-shift that we interacted with (and another young woman that was training I believe) just excelled overall in meeting our needs quickly, kindly, and with patience. (I wish I had written their names down!!) Checkout was easy, never felt rushed or like dropping off my bags was a bother. That's it, but I can't express enough how amazing of a hotel and the overall stay (only two nights) was!

The staff is wonderful here. They are attentive, polite and professional. They go above and beyond for customer service, especially Layla. She rocks! The hotel was cool and the amenities are nice, but the staff made the stay very enjoyable and stress free.

A Beautiful Stay with Exceptional Service at The Emery I recently stayed at The Emery for four nights and had a fantastic experience overall. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful, with a chic and stylish atmosphere. While the room decor leans on the darker side (deep burgundy walls), it actually made the space feel cozy and perfect for a restful night—especially paired with the incredible blackout shades. One major highlight of my stay was the service. The staff here are truly impeccable. In particular, I want to mention one standout employee i believe her name is Layla. Layla was truly everywhere during my stay—in the best possible way. I noticed her constantly on the move, assisting guests, answering questions, managing tasks, and somehow doing it all with calm, professionalism, and genuine warmth. She carried herself well even while multitasking in what I can only imagine was a very fast-paced environment (it looked overwhelming). What really set her apart was a moment when I asked about a first aid kit for a hike I was going on and was told the hotel didn’t have one readily available. Without hesitation, Layla made me one herself. That kind of thoughtful, proactive service is incredibly rare and speaks volumes about her character. I travel 160 days out of the year so this is the service I absolutely expect and NEED. The entire staff at The Emery were wonderful, but Layla truly went above and beyond. Her attention to detail and ability to care for multiple guests without missing a beat left a lasting impression on me. She's the kind of person who makes a good hotel stay unforgettable as well as the rest of the staff. Giulia, the hotel’s Italian restaurant, also deserves a shoutout—the food was phenomenal! Eat here!!! If I had to make one suggestion, it would be the addition of a pool. That would’ve made a great stay even better. All in all, I highly recommend staying at The Emery. Beautiful design, delicious food, and WORLD-CLASS service makes it a memorable experience.

The lobby is lovely. The staff are welcoming and friendly. Unfortunately, our suite is very dirty. It is covered in dust that is so bad my eyes and nose are irritated. The wall-to-wall carpet is soiled with a visible layer of dust where the carpet meets the walls. The paint is peeling from the wall around the large HVAC intake vent. The upholstered furniture is also soiled.

We loved this autograph hotel. The staff were pleasant when we first arrived here, giving out useful information about where to park and other activities to do around the area. The rooms were lovely with good mattresses, making a great sleep, good shower, nice tv channel selection offered, great coffee, and great views. We liked the lobby with a restaurant and coffee shop offered in the mornings, if you want a coffee on the go. The parking wasn’t cheap, but the staff were very helpful with finding a place with cheaper parking. Overall, we really liked this autograph collection hotel and highly recommend staying here.

Avoid this place at all costs. We were ok with it not having a pool or tub. The "lobby" (not really a lobby its seating for the cafe and restaurant) looked really nice in photos as well as the rooms. So we booked it. Well first off. We primarily stay at marriot and this place was HORRIBLE compared to every other marriot we have been to. First off they took a deposit of $200 some for our 3 night stay. Which we didn't know anything about nor does their website say ANYTHING about that. They have $54 valet. And no other option for close parking so we walked 3 blocks instead. The room has no smart TV and no microwave. So don't even think about saving leftovers from the restaurants or local eats. Too upscale for a pool and tub but you don't have basic amenities? Also too upscale for a free breakfast but no tub in the room? Or spa to have somewhere to relax? This is just a motel with a bigger room. My shower is bigger at my house. The food places are way overpriced I recommend the red rabbit for Italian instead and catzen coffee for an actual nice breakfast experience. The front desk ppl look at you as if you don't belong if you dare to wear a sweatshirt in the lobby. And also continue that treatment towards you every time they see you after that. I highly recommend staying at element instead it has a beautiful free breakfast with a greek yogurt bar and pastries, they give top service and the rooms are modern and up to date. And no shady room deposit. Definitely will NOT be back.

Yelp
This is a beautiful boutique family oriented property, located in an old historical bank. We stayed for a week in May and were in awe of the service, amenities, restaurant, and staff. A special shout out to Ariana Sch**** who gave amazing service at the front desk, then she pulled another shift in the restaurant during busy times. That young woman is going places hopefully within your organization! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Yelp
I met a friend here for a quick getaway in February and everything was great. The bar had good drinks and good food. The bartender was nice and tried to be as attentive as he could since it was so busy. The hotel room was very clean and the bathroom was really nice. All in all, I would stay here again if I need a place in downtown Minneapolis in the future.

Yelp
Last night I got to enjoy Grinchs Lair for its last weekend, and with yesterday being the 13th Day of Christmas I thought it was very fitting. Grinchs Lair is located in @hotelemery in downtown Minneapolis featuring whimsical Christmas decorations in Grinch / Whoville theme. They also had a giant projector playing Elf, one kf my favorites. The cocktails also have cute names and are absolutely delicious. I had Santa's Breath which is a whiskey based cocktail with winter flavors of warming spices and orange. I also had a Hot Cocoa, the name escapes me, with vodka and peppermint. Both hit the spot and warmed ya right up. Sadly I didn't go to too many of the holiday pop up, but glad to have made it to this one. _______ #Christmas #holidays #holidayvibes #holidayspirit #holidaycheer #drinks #cocktailgram #cocktails #hotcocoa #grinch #grinchmas #holidaypopup #mn #mneats #twincities #foodieapolis #minnesota #exploremn

Yelp
This review is for the Grinch Lair pop up bar. I have not stayed at the hotel but it looks beautiful. On the website they encourage people to do walk in however it was near impossible to get a table in December as a walk in. Very misleading and kind of a waste of time. When we did make a reservation (it was our anniversary!) we were extremely underwhelmed. We were hoping for/anticipating an immersive Christmas experience but that was not what this was at all. It didn't seem like you could get up and walk around but even if you could, there wasn't much to look at. The decorations weren't very impressive (paper snow flakes and yoga balls as ornaments). Lastly, everything was waaaayyy over priced and the service was super slow. $17 for one little drink, $42 for a meat and cheese plate, and $28 for a bakers dozen of treats. That feels a little bit like a scam when you're sitting next to paper snow flakes :/ I do not recommend, even if you are the biggest Christmas/Grinch fan.

Yelp
I had a free one night stay and would definitely return! First off, I had to go through the manager via email to set it up and the process went smoothly. Within minutes I had my email confirmation, thank you Nick! Upon my arrival the front desk staff were so welcoming and bubbly. They told me about all of the amenities, coffee shop and restaurant in the hotel. As a plant mom, I absolutely adored all of the plants and greenery throughout the lobby. A beautiful location for photos! Also, if you download the app you can have a keyless entry to your room. The room was clean and had a contemporary design. Our view sucked but the room was great We woke up to loud music because it was a Vikings game day and they had a dj outside, didn't love that but I could understand- SKOL!! We had a reservation at the restaurant Guilia for breakfast and it was amazing! I'll do another review for them separately Overall, if you're looking for a chic hotel in downtown MPLS check them out!

Yelp
I love trying different hotels around the Twin Cities for staycations! The Emery was the latest place we stayed at and I really enjoyed it. Check-in on the app with a stop at the front desk was smooth and the team member at the desk was friendly and explained everything we needed to know. The lobby is beautiful, with real plants everywhere, cool bookshelves, and a gas fireplace. There is plenty of seating with plugins available for some coworking or hanging out. The top floor corner room we were in was fairly spacious and had a big shower. I really like the aesthetics at this hotel - that's one of the main reasons I chose the Emery for this stay and that did not disappoint! I had requested a suite night upgrade but sadly did not receive it although we were only staying for one night. Not an issue at all but worth noting. The hotel is in a convenient location, equally close to most downtown attractions and North Loop restaurants and shops. Valet parking is $50 (as of November 2023) but there is also a ramp and plenty of street parking if needed. I have Platinum status with Marriott and one perk is typically breakfast. At the Emery, that perk gave each of us two a few things of our choosing from the on-site local cafe, Spyhouse: one coffee or juice of our choice, a pastry, yogurt, and a piece of fruit. The drink options were great since Spyhouse is a full coffee shop - we opted for holiday drinks: a peppermint mocha and a cookie butter cappuccino. Both were good! The pastries included many croissants (both savory and sweet) and the yogurts were various fruity flavors of Chobani. The fruit choices were typical apples and oranges. The on-site restaurant, Giulia, also offers weekend brunch on Saturdays and Sundays, 10 am - 2 pm but we didn't get to try it this time. While I wish the Emery had a full breakfast included with the booking, I was satisfied with the choices at Spyhouse for a one night stay. Overall, staying at the Emery was a positive experience and I'd stay there again!
google avatar

Nicole E.

Yelp
We grabbed some coffee and tea from the Spy house roaster in the lobby. The lobby is fantastic and lofty. The lobby at the Emery is very chilled. Gas fireplace. Lots of wood tables and chairs and microfiber chairs and pads and lots huge marble pillars. Big tall lofty ceilings. The music is quite perfect for coffee house vibe.

Yelp
Went to Hotel Emery for Grinch's Lair Pop Up and it was such a cute and wonderful experience. The staff was helpful and kind. The drinks were interesting, and the storybook menu was such a cute way to learn about them. I hope it comes back next year!

Yelp
Overall I like the Emery. It is a beautiful place. I didn't like the breakfast choices for such a nice hotel. They were very limited. The rooms were nice staff was nice and the location was great to Wells Fargo which is where my training occurred. It's also an easy walk to several really good restaurants. Not much as far as sightseeing goes. More of a business location hotel.

Yelp
Luxury hotel that's part of the Autograph Collection. Stayed here with a couple of other friends for a wedding and it was a good location as it's in downtown Minneapolis. We got free breakfast vouchers (available for Platinum Marriott members) that are redeemable from the coffee shop in the lobby (choice of two drinks, two pastries, yogurt, and fruit). The front desk was helpful in sending us hot water when requested. There is a gym with cardio machines and free weights. They have a lot of places where you can lounge. Valet parking available. They have ironing boards available.

Yelp
This was my second time staying at marriott autograph property and it was a 4-star experience overall. Upon arrival, the front desk team's greeting was top notch. I was a bit disappointed at the lack of effort that the staff checking me showed to try to accommodate for a Platinum Elite member upgrade. Room: I really like their contemporary architecture design and layout. I think they could have done a better job with cabinet space as it was *way too* small. The standard king bed study room is pretty small, too. Bathroom: Compared to the room, their bathroom was both nicely designed and relatively spacious in comparison to the guest room. Parking: I did their offsite parking and the MSP skyway made it pretty easy to get in and out of the garage and back to the hotel. Unfortunately on the weekends, skywalk is closed and you have to use the outdoor main entrance of the building of the parking garage. Other than that, I liked their parking system overall. Recycling: This was another disappointment. A hotel of this size should be more environmentally conscious and provide recycling service. Continental breakfast: This was the highlight of my stay here. They offer a rather nice selection of food and beverage for continental breakfast (free for Platinum Elite & above rewards members), and I even got kombucha juice on several occasions. You get two sets of food and beverage per room regardless if you have a guest staying with you or not. Overall: Emery is a nice property if you want to stay in downtown MSP and want the option to be carless or have a car with you.

Yelp
There is so much to say about the Emery but I also want to just say stay here and explore yourself. It was so beautiful my daughter and I just enjoyed exploring the hotel. I probably have way too many photos just taking pictures of the hotel itself. From the moment I arrived I felt welcomed and valued. I arrived on a holiday to both staff members at the registration desk smiling. The staff was quick and helpful in answering all my questions and giving easy to follow directions to different things. When I say that I felt extremely welcomed and valued as a guest, I mean it. I extended my stay with the hotel because of their quality customer service. The holiday menu in the restaurant Giulia was phenomenal. The cranberry cheese cake was to die for. Staff was prompt with taking orders to following up on our dining needs. The king bed was comfortable, perhaps the best sleep I've had in a hotel for a while. The rooms decor was chic yet comfortable. The hotel is also dog friendly. You're do is welcome with dog treat gum ball machine at the valet entry as well as the registration desk. Check out the pints and pub special. If your a Vikings fan, they are a five minute walk away from the U.S. Bank Stadium. They also have a game day package available. The parking garage is located across the street and felt very secure but was a little walk if you forgot something in the car like I did. It was a fabulous place to stay. I would recommend it for business travel or a family trip. I will stay here again.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, comfy bed and bedding. Has a bar for evening beverages and coffee shop for the morning- but get there early as the line is LONG at 9am! Valet parking is $49, but there are parking ramps close by if you want to save $10-$15 for overnight.

Yelp
Beautiful historic building with incredibly attentive staff. Great location and clean rooms with amazing bedding - the best pillows! Restaurant off the lobby as well. Would definitely stay here again.

Yelp
My stay at the Emery was a quiet one that left me feeling rested. We reserved the king suite for a staycation weekend and had lovely city views. Will definitely recommend to anyone that wants the feeling of privacy while still being in the city.
google avatar

Yelp
One of the only hotels that reminds me of Dubai in regards to experience, and presentations. The plants, and all the greenery with all white ceramic tiles makes this place stunning. The coffee and the food are delicious!
google avatar

Yelp
The Emery Autograph hotel was an amazing place to stay during my conference in Minneapolis. The location was good but not close enough to our event, but still close enough to have affordable Uber/ Lyft service back and gorth. The restaurants on property were just average. The gym was nice. The bed was comfortable and the decor beautiful. It was a very pleasant stay with extremely helpful staff.
google avatar

Michael H.

Yelp
We booked this last minute as an express deal on Priceline. It is a little farther from the Hennepin hotspots than we typically like, but an easy Uber ride. The property has recently been updated and it is classy and moody. The lobby is absolutely beautiful, as was our room. Very urban feel, nice atmosphere and comfortable bed and pillows. We also LOVED the full size shampoo/conditioner/body wash in the shower. Nice touch! The service was wonderful as well, and they accommodated a late checkout when we slept later than planned - their fault anyway for such a cozy room. We didn't try the restaurant sadly, but will return and give it a try. Great experience, definitely recommend!
google avatar

Anna D.

Yelp
Wonderful lobby, that has a delicious coffee bar with morning and lunch bites as well as an amazing Italian restaurant! The rooms were a bit dark but clean, and a unique vibe that you don't find often. Would definitely stay here again!

Maija E.

Yelp
Better name... "how the grinch ruined my Saturday night". Definitely wouldn't have wasted money, my time and the hotel bars time if they had more accurate wait times instead of being 2 hours off in their estimations
google avatar

Shaun R.

Yelp
This is a nice place in a decent location but for a couple issues, I had no where to address them. First, this morning there was no hot water in the shower. But then there's no one really to call and when I went down to the front desk no one was there. Second, there's no at the front desk in the morning. After three attempts still couldn't find anybody hanging around. Seems like a good place, I might even stay again. But customer service is one of the reasons we go back and use the same hotels. I'd be curious if even know they have an issue.
google avatar

Kaverne A J L.

Yelp
Good location and they have a spy house cafe at the lobby where you can see a lot of people lounging with their laptops.
google avatar

Jessica S.

Yelp
I stay here a lot for work and absolutely love it. The staff is always so friendly and helpful, and the rooms are clean, comfortable, and unique. They have a really nice gym, which is great for a morning workout (more than just a treadmill and a couple free weights). We love the location in the skyway, and the coffee shop and restaurant on site are both excellent!

Masoud M.

Yelp
If there was a zero star option I would choose it. Please stay away from staying in this hotel unless you are are ready to deal with sleeping in a box like room and the rudest front desk staff I have ever encountered. A male front desk staff member literally responded to any questions we asked with one or 2 words like " walk" and "don't know" (his response to directions to the hotel parking) in the rudest manner. When we decided we can no longer stay for the remaining night due to his behavior and requested a refund, he grinned and laughed while saying " well we denied it". Mind you this was all unprovoked. When I literally asked him what we have done to him to deserve this rudeness and attitude, he literally shrugged and walked to the backroom

Yelp
I enjoyed our stay here and would come back. The hotel lobby is Instagram worthy. Their coffee bar has pastries and small breakfast options. We did not have time to check out the bar but it appeared to be very trendy . Their rooms are moody and relaxing. Their beds I found to be very comfortable . The pillows are on the soft side . They have a pool table and awesome fire place down stairs.
google avatar

Yelp
My colleagues and I stayed here when we audited a major broker-dealer in this area. I enjoyed the stay immensely. It's located in the middle of the metropolitan area. We didn't have to depend on uber or public transportation. I hate sleeping in hotels because the bed is never as comfortable as my own. Their beds were clean and they felt like I was sleeping on clouds. We were there for two weeks and the housekeeping was on point. Every night, my room was cleaned when we go out for dinner. I highly recommend staying here for a business trip.

Yelp
This hotels architectural bones are beautiful and the lobby is preserved adequately, but the residential floors were done in a very economical fashion and it looks more like a courtyard than an autograph hotel. The lobby is Art Deco and the staff is redeeming of the hotels shortcomings. Rooms are adequate and could have been done classier or a bit more Art Deco or more inline with decor and style of the building. Bathroom tiling and walls had scuffs and damages that cheapen the look. Miyesha the housekeeping young lady is very helpful as is the staff at the concierge lounge. The concierge LOUnge is great for breakfast and Happy hour snacks but they charge for drinks and it's just a lounge not a bar and. No cool views. The bar in ground level is also nice and simple bar eats, kitchen closes at 11p. Randy in the lobby is exceptionally helpful as is steven the night front. Desk supervisor. I may consider coming back to this hotel (it's my 2nd time already) but so many other cool hotels in the area to check.

Yelp
The hotel was just renovated and rebranded. We were in room 726 which (I believe) was an odd shaped room as it wasn't a typical rectangular layout. This may be the reason our room wasn't up to expectations for $355 a night. The room furnishings were modern but didn't appear to be very thought out for our room. Each light fixture has an excessive amount of electrical chord (pictures attached). Instead of shortening the chord or stuffing the excess chord into the wall of behind things, they are wrapped around other furnishings or just laying around. There is floor lamp that stands about 5'5" off the ground and doesn't fit in the room appropriately. It is either in the lane of walking paths or in front of the TV that is mounted on the wall. It should be replaced or raised to be out of the way. The lobby and lounge area are beautiful. We went after a sold out concert at nearby US Bank Stadium. The lounge wasn't prepared for the rush of guests after the concert (although I believe they should have known this was coming). Service was very slow as they were understaffed. Food and drinks were coming to guests out of order. And just in our area of several guests, every bill was in accurate (missing drinks). Each guest notified staff and after getting frustrated making changes to (what seemed like every guest), the waiter/bartender gave up and just said don't worry about the drinks and guests weren't charged. Overall, not a bad place, just not on par for the price being paid.

Martina R.

Yelp
Gorgeous boutique hotel. Beautiful lobby. BUT I will never stay here again. This boutique hotel is pet friendly. We are not pet owners. We wanted to escape to this gorgeous downtown hotel and had a dog barking next door until 1am. I recommend they put the pet owners on their own level. The front desk staff offered a flat apology. No compensation in any way. Manager of this hotel: please have guests with pets in their own area. Also give feedback to your valet service. $48 per night and it took over 30 minutes to get our car. I do not recommend staying here.

Yelp
A work in progress is what I will give this hotel. The entrance to the hotel is pretty low key and could benefit from a little attention to "curb appeal". Delivery vehicles are allowed to part in front of the hotel's front doors which made it difficult for this guest to figure out where the entrance was. (I understand that delivery vehicles need to park "somewhere", but there was nothing outside the doors to suggest it was a hotel entrance. ) When I arrived there were TWO of trucks parked and obscuring the entrance. It did not take long to figure it out, but I do not think it should have been a question. The staff could not be friendlier. Some are still getting familiar with the details of the hotel . (to them, I would say, there is not shame in excusing yourself and getting the answer from your manager! ) . They were beyond hospitable and accommodating. They were very generous and gave me a very early check-in , which made this weary traveler very happy; I had been up since 2:30am. So a big THANK YOU , to the staff. Rooms are tasteful. and mine was done in a vintage harvest gold color. Soothing and warm. My view was unbelievable. I could not believe my good fortune! I can not wait to see it at night! Thank you! My room is furnished with two queens , a desk , a mini frig , a single cup coffee/tea bar, and a big tv. (I do not watch tv, but this one is a size that matches the size of the room ) The desk is an excellent size for working. The number of outlets built into the desk and the outlets near the beds are adequate. I still marvel that hotels offer bedside clocks. Maybe it is just me, but I always unplug the clock to make sure I have outlets for my personal beside stuff; my tablet and my phone (which is also my clock). I feel bad because I know someone is going to have to reset the clock. I do not usually expect much from hotel room coffee and tea, but "Rituals" tea was exceptionally bad. I was so looking forward to a cup of tea in my room on this wintry day, but not with this particular tea. I do not expect a lot for my two free tea bags, but it sure would be worth a bit more for decent cup of tea. Usually I travel with my own tea bags, but with today's EARLY departure , I forgot. I do have high hopes for this hotel because their staff is very enthusiastic and if they are given latitude, they will make this place a four star hotel. (or maybe even 5 :) Location Location Location; this place has a great location . I will be back.

Yelp
Fancy-fance! We stayed here last winter after finding a discounted room. After the initial nightmare of finding somewhere to park and the front desk not being able to find our reservation, our stay was pretty great. Though the desk was initially unable to find our reservation, the gentleman helping us was very kind and persistent in getting everything worked out. For the "trouble" of having to wait an extra few minutes he upgraded our room to a ginormous king. The hotel had a deco feel to it with colored lights, a waterfall-backed statue, and a bank vault in the lounge. Colors were dark and brass and the theme carried into the rooms - a nice touch instead of having an interesting lobby and boring, could-be-anywhere accommodations. Our room was very long and featured a king bed surrounded by windows with a TV at the foot. The bathroom was well away from where we slept and was very bright and spacious. The bed was comfortable and the living space gave us plenty of room to spread out all our winter wear - we packed for a lot of outdoor time and thus had some bulky items like boots/coats/etc. My only issue came with trying to fall asleep - there were high winds that spurred a loud metal clanging sound that was driving me crazy. There was construction going on across the street, so it's impossible to know if it was a vent/overhang/etc. attached to the hotel, or if some piece of equipment wasn't properly tied down outside. After an hour or so of tossing and turning I finally was able to tune it out long enough to fall asleep, and from there had a fine evening. Despite these few hiccups, we enjoyed our stay and I would stay again, especially if we needed access to the light rail or wanted to attend a football game.

Yelp
First time staying at this hotel in Minneapolis and everything ran smoothly! Rooms were super neat and clean with plenty of space. I loved the modern vibe here and it was pretty central to everything we wanted in Minneapolis! Haven't been to MN since pre COVID and wasn't sure what was the best part of town to stay in but felt super safe here. For sure within walking distance of target field (the twins stadium) and us Bank (the Vikings stadium). We already have our hotel booked for another trip we have coming up to minneapolis but I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

Yelp
Emery is a repurposed bank. The lobby is extremely cool. Very nice hotel and not too far away from the home of the Vikings (US Bank Stadium). We tried walking the sky-way/ walk to the stadium but ran into locked sections. (???) we ened walking the streets for 15 minutes or so. It was about 28 degrees which was a certifiable heatwave for Minneapolis in late December. The Monday night game on 12/23/19 was a Packer victory. So, staying overnight in downtown Minneapolis was very pleasant. The Emery complimented this. We had a few beverages before the game and after as well. The service for drinks at the hotel bar was a bit slow compared to the funnel-like bar-tendering services in Green Bay. To be fair there were two bartenders and about 30-40 lining their bars. Many of these were Packer Fans drinking hard. This was understaffed a bit, one more could have sold %25 more drinks. 4-5 parties approached the bar by us then left after 10-15 minutes without even drawing the attention of a bartender. We did oder a wood fired pizza and it was delicious and served immediately. We shared it with people nearby and created a mass order of six more that were delivered in less than 15 minutes. Every pizza ordered was outstanding. The room was a studio sweet that had the typical hotel necessities. The Emery has a modern architectural look and feel. They did an excellent job restoring the building spaces. Valet was efficient and friendly, even to the louder Packer fans. We will return here for stadium/ downtown fun. The experience of this hotel, the game and Minneapolis was unforgettable.

Yelp
YOU GUYS. I'm sorry, but i very much disagree with the majority of my fellow yelpers in saying this place is great. Don't get me wrong, the rooms are huge and the hotel exudes a level of class and coolness, but that's about where the good things end. Here's why: 1) I'm the type of person who can not sleep well when the room is hot. let's face it, it's hard to get comfortable and actually sleep well when you're sweating, which is why i always turn on the air at any hotel i stay at. (and because they never let you open windows!) A good hour + after we turned on the air, the temperature hadn't changed at all. Thinking it might just need more time to cool down, my husband and i went to the wedding a returned, to an equally hot room. Not wanting to sleep in the warm room, i called down to the front desk to see what the could do, which brings me to my second point. 2) The staff was far from accommodating and condescending. The front desk people put me in touch with the night manager who seemed all of 14 years old. He came up to my room to ask how he/they could make our stay better. I asked to switch rooms, as our AC was broken. He said "welp, we are at capacity so i can't make that happen. But I can comp your breakfast". when i asked him how that would help cool our room down, he asked me if i had been drinking...as if that had ANYTHING to do with anything. I explained we had just come from a wedding and that was beside the point. Then, I asked for two fans to cool the room down, which he brought promptly. I realize the potential of me sounding like a diva here, but let's be real. If staff is rude and create a poor atmosphere for guests, why would i return? Lesson learned: i won't.

Yelp
The reality for my stay is that I arrived after midnight and left before 8am. The lobby was nice. The room clean and quiet. A little small, but nice. The check in process was a little long at midnight. What did I learn today? No self parking

Yelp
Neat property in Marriott's "Autograph Collection" which I think means that it just doesn't neatly fit into their usual brands like Fairfield and Courtyard. Because I stayed for the weekend, I got a great deal on the room rate. And because I have Platinum status with Marriott, I got free wifi and (weekend) free breakfast. Very nice room, though if you stay here you may want to ask for a room that doesn't face the central court yard. I'd have liked to have something with a view, perhaps. Otherwise, a good desk with a comfortable bed, walk-in shower and coffee service. Neat lobby and neat restaurant. The wine room / vault is an actual vault! Only a block from the nearest light rail station and within walking distance of the downtown Nicollet Mall and Hennepin Avenue areas. I would stay here again.

Yelp
The lobby is great! The coffee shop and that whole first floor is really stylish. Room cleaning was up to standard and the service was fine. The small king room IS small, I wonder if a two queen would have been better just to have more moving room. The downstairs lounge is just ok. Breakfast is very basic, one day the juices were gone. The evening snacks are supposed to start at 5:30pm. They were late most of the 5 days I was there. Location is nice if you want to be on the train line

Yelp
3.5 stars. Traveled on business to Minneapolis and the company put me up at this hotel. Check in quick, no wait. Staff was helpful and friendly. Lobby was decorated cozy/modern feel. The building was an old bag so the vintage vaults were really cool. Room on 5th floor, corner unit, modern and quiet. AC not quite cold enough for my liking. Consigerre lounge on 10th floor. Served free breakfast for "special" members which was disappointing. Limited options. Less expensive hotels have better breakfast. Rooms averaged price for the area. Attentiveness of staff and housekeeping good. Consigerre not great. Not bad.

Yelp
Let me just start off my review by saying that initial booked this hotel on price alone for a trip to Minneapolis, the Marriott brand helped secure some additional points and was a nice added bonus. Overall this was one of the best value's located downtown, and to make things even better is a nice hotel. I booked about 3 weeks early on Marriott.com and secured a pretty good rate of $116/night, however after that there were some problems with the credit card thinking there was possible fraud and the room was on hold after a quick call to both the hotel and credit card company we were back in business. It wasn't until I arrived early (about 11:30am) for check-in that I discovered the hotel had upgraded me from a Standard King, to a Junior Suite. I am not sure if this was because of the other issues or because of my Marriot Rewards status, either way the upgrade was greatly appreciated. The front desk staff was super friendly and even had a room ready for an 11:30 check-in. Once I got to my room I discovered exactly how sweet the Junior Suite really was. The room was huge, with a large seating area and 42" TV and a fridge. The desk was located along a long wall opposite of the bed. The bed was located in a corner with windows on two sides, which provided some nice views of the Minneapolis streets. Another 42" TV was mounted to the wall and extended out over the bed. The bed itself was comfortable, however the pillows were a bit of a disappointment. For some reason I can never find a hotel with good pillows, I guess I am going to have to start packing my own when I travel. The bathroom was huge, and offered a nice walk in shower with two shower heads, one of which was a rain shower. There were some nice toiletries provided however I didn't use them as I usually have my own. Over all the bathroom was large enough for 2-3 people to get ready if needed. The staff at the hotel were friendly, I even stopped down that the bar for a drink one evening and made small chat with the bartender who made some recommendations and even provided me with a coupon for free admission to a local club. A nice gesture, however I already had other plans while in town. One added bonus to this hotel is that it is connected to the Minneapolis Skyway, which is great during the winter months as it allows you access to many of the other buildings downtown via a connected, temperature controlled walkways between each building. Inside the walkways you will find various shops and dining options which will keep you away from the brutal cold of the northern winters, or the occasional hot summer day! Overall I enjoyed my stay here, it's probably one of the nicer Marriot properties I have stayed at. If returning to Minneapolis I know that I will be booking this hotel as it offered a great stay and an amazing value!

Yelp
A very beautiful and unique hotel in a prime location downtown Minneapolis. I was able to walk to one of the best brunch spots in the City from here and attend a gala at the Target corporate headquarters a couple blocks up. The location is truly its biggest draw, but it is a beautiful property as well. my room wasn't huge, but it was spacious enough for me and I love the modern yet warm decor. There's also a bar I didn't get a chance to try, but it looked very lively on a Friday night.

Yelp
Rooms are amazing and comfy with a cool condo feel. Super posh. Clean and new! Restaurant needs some work. The menu is not good. Food tastes low quality & masked in a bunch of fancy words. Spy house coffee in the lobby is amazing!

Yelp
Great location in downtown Minneapolis. You are within walking distance to the Metro line and US Bank Stadium. The hotel itself is clean and the staff is friendly. Very helpful as well. When we stayed they were doing construction on their downstairs lobby. It never affected our stay in the least. We would definitely use this hotel for our travel needs for future visits. Great value considering what the competitors were charging per night.

Yelp
On a whim, I decided to book one night through the 'HotelTonight' app for a great price. I'm absolutely happy that I did because it was a fantastic stay. The host at the front desk was friendly and accommodating, and helped me book their favorite corner room as it was a bit bigger and had better views. The room was clean and comfortable, and the bed was extremely soft. There were some issues with some of the electronics not working out, but it wasn't the biggest deal for me as I was not using them anyways. Beforehand, I also checked my car in through valet. It was $40 for the night, which is a little pricey in my opinion, but the service was also fantastic. Very quick, very polite. I'd definitely stay again!

Yelp
Everyone treated us with professional care and concern. The outside dining was lovely, COVID spacing. Big inside seating area to have meetings with plenty of space, by the fireplace. Great place.

Yelp
This hotel lives up to the expectation with the tall pillars and marble floors, and the vault theme. Very intriguing!! But there is always room for improvement. I had the privilege to stay here the past couple of days and during that time I had to call down twice to have my room cleaned. The excuse given to me was that maybe the maid came early when I was still there. I left my room each morning at 6:30 to get breakfast and attend my meetings, but perhaps the maid service comes before 6:30am. If this is the case, please advise us of this aspect so as a visitor I can be aware. Also, I asked the hotel to store breast milk for me and I was assured that someone would be available to retrieve it for me when I was ready to depart. That was inaccurate. They did not know where the breast milk was and had no clue I had check it in. That was disappointing. I had to leave because no one knew where it was or what I was talking about. I would appreciate next time if there was a better system of accountability. I have a baby that's going to be disappointed when I return home. Overall, the stay was acceptable. Clean rooms kind people are the norm but still appreciated. I enjoyed my visit to Minneapolis and I hope to return just not to this hotel. I'll reserved this place for the fast paced on the go businessman/woman.

Yelp
The Hotel Minneapolis is beautiful inside and the rooms are extremely comfortable. I found the bed to be one of the most comfortable hotel beds I've ever slept in and the bathroom was one of the largest, even compared to Vegas. The rain shower was marvelous. I have great memories of this place. So...I loved our stay and cannot wait to stay here again this month! We stayed during Valentine's weekend last year and it was a lovely experience. If you go on Hotwire you can score some really great deals on local hotels. You never know what you're going to get, but I always try to narrow my search down and select only the ones that say "Boutique Hotel", you're bound to get a unique, cozy property. We managed to stay at Le Meridien Chambers, W Foshay and the Westin by using Hotwire. Our room was clean, quiet and peaceful, not much of view but that's ok. The rooms might need a bit of an update, but I adore unique historic properties so for now I'll just revel in the glory. Like the Westin Minneapolis, this building used to be a bank. Built in 1906, transformed in 2008 to The Hotel. (History nerd alert) Room service was top notch. We ordered breakfast the next morning and it arrived within 15 minutes. Restaurant MAX serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Valet area was very helpful, they got us a car within 5 minutes and we were whisked away to our downtown dining destination, The Capital Grille. Only snag was - no pool, and the ice machine on our floor was out of order, so I used the stairs to go one floor down. When I got there, the door didn't open, so I was stuck inside the stairwell and had to go back up. Felt a little bit trapped, but when I got back to our room I called Front Desk to let them know the ice machine wasn't working and they fixed the problem. I just wanted to keep my vodka cold.

Yelp
Fairly nice hotel in the middle of downtown. A 3 min walk off the Blue Line Governor's Plaza stop makes it really convenient from the airport. Large room, bathroom. No fridge but a tv, safe, waterfall shower and comfy bed. Complaints are internet is a fee and one of the bathroom walls has condensation they need to wipe down before patrons check in. Otherwise you can get pretty good deals ((under $150 night) for a good locale

Yelp
We chose this restaurant in MSP because it was a Marriott and close to everything downtown. Easy to take the train from the airport and walk about a block to. Lots of things to do within walking distance. We had to wait about an hour past the checkin time for our room to be ready. We had a small suite that was pretty nice. Frig and safe in the room. One bathrobe. I had to request extra towels even tho it's in our rewards profile. Checkin was subpar for an upper level Marriott. Not very welcome. I don't think they really care if your a platinum rewards member. We ate breakfast in the restaurant twice and service was sporadic. Food was just ok. Customer service was lacking throughout the property. Rooms were nice though. I would stay again because the property is really pretty.

Yelp
I am a fan of this place. We got a room on Priceline for like $100 and were extremely surprised with the quality that we received. The front desk was extremely friendly upon checking in. We were put on the 7th floor. The view wasn't anything spectacular. From the window, we were looking at the building a crossed the street from us. But for $100 we weren't expecting much of a view anyways. Some people would argue that the yellow walls and older decor makes the room look old. I actually have to say that the design is a nice change from what you would see in a mainstream hotel and that it gives the hotel more charter and charm. The room was super clean and tidy until we messed it up. I didn't see a speck of dust anywhere. When you walk into the lobby, there is defiantly a wow factor. The lobby is super awesome and has a unique upscale feel to it. I wish my phone would have held a charge long enough to take pictures.

Yelp
Booked through Priceline. Front desk staff was extremely rude upon check in. Housekeeping started knocking at 9 am and proceeded until checkout. Woke up my family early after an all night drive through icy conditions. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.
