I must say, Emirates truly lives up to its reputation. The class, comfort, and overall flying experience are in a league of their own — something that must be experienced to be fully appreciated. From in-flight entertainment to food quality and safety protocols, everything felt polished and premium.
Dubai Airport also deserves a special mention. It is simply world-class, with facilities, efficiency, and design that surpass even major airports in the USA. It’s a destination in itself, setting the bar high for global air travel.
However, one major drawback dampened the journey:
When traveling as a group, especially with young children, Emirates’ system does not support group seating arrangements by default. Despite booking together, we faced a frustrating situation where seats were scattered, and our 8-year-old ended up seated between two unrelated adults.
This was understandably concerning and stressful. I requested the crew for assistance, but unfortunately, the air hostess couldn't do much due to limited options and lack of cooperation from fellow passengers. It was a helpless situation that could have easily been prevented with a more flexible or thoughtful seating system for families traveling with kids.
Thankfully, nothing major occurred, but the experience left us anxious throughout the flight. Emirates should really consider implementing a smarter seating system for group and family bookings, especially involving minors.
Final Verdict:
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4/5)
Still one of the best airlines in terms of quality and professionalism, but this seating issue is worth addressing for the safety and comfort of family travelers
