Emirates National Auto Museum - Museum Review | Condé Nast Traveler

"What’s this place all about? Beyond the city center, on the edge of the desert, the Emirates National Auto Museum houses an impressive collection of vintage cars and intimidating military vehicles. Ye shall know them by their permanent collection: How was it? More than 200 vehicles make up this auto collection, which belongs to Sheikh Hamad bin Hamdan Al Nahyan. With more custom tricked-out whips than a rap music video, the space showcases two things: the cars themselves, and the profound eccentricity of this billionaire sheikh. Convertibles, classic American cars, off-road vehicles, the world's largest truck: Nothing on four wheels is off limits here. What did you make of the crowd? Auto-lovers come from far and wide to see this nearly unrivaled collection. Even if cars aren’t entirely your thing, the building and setup are reason enough for a visit. On the practical tip, how were the facilities? This square complex has a straightforward route, but don’t expect too many areas to sit for a break. Any advice for the time- or attention-challenged? If you’re short on time, beeline to the custom cars, which boast the most outlandish personalities of them all. The military vehicles are also quite the spectacle." - Jenna Scatena

My husband and I visited the museum early on a weekend morning, around 10 AM. We paid for both of us at the entrance (I don’t recall the exact amount), and since there were no other visitors at that time, we were able to park close to the museum building. We visited in April, and it was already quite warm—so I highly recommend bringing a bottle of water with you. The museum itself is spacious, with a fascinating collection of unique and antique cars. Be prepared to walk a lot to explore everything! Even in the morning, it felt a bit hot inside. I believe the air conditioning system is a bit outdated and doesn’t cool the space very well, which made the visit a bit uncomfortable at times. That said, I really enjoyed the overall experience. While it might not be the kind of place you’d return to multiple times, it’s definitely worth a visit if you’re interested in automotive history or just want to see something different. I’d recommend it for car enthusiasts and curious minds alike.

A museum that must have been more impressive in its hey days, now left to age with its expensive collection within. The mega sized vehicles (only hobby possible for the Royal family to realise) are really impressive (and they are working vehicles!). Worth stopping by, perhaps in the non summer months as the Aircon is just not keeping up with times and it's really warm inside when the heat is 40-50 outside.

A must vist for all car enthusiasts and kids who love cars.. So well maintained and what an amazing collection 😍 .. It's away from the city and not very crowded and you can take your time. Entrance fee of AED 55 but I believe it was well worth it.

Visiting the Emirates National Auto Museum was a fantastic experience, especially for automobile enthusiasts. The collection of cars is impressive, offering a glimpse into automotive history and unique models. The museum is well-maintained, adding to the overall experience. The operating hours are from 9 AM to 5 PM. Children can enter for free, while adult tickets cost approximately 57 AED. If you're paying by card, there is an additional service charge. Overall, it's definitely worth a visit for car lovers and anyone interested in unique and classic vehicles!

The Emirates National Auto Museum is a unique and worthwhile destination for car enthusiasts, offering a vast and interesting collection of vehicles. While some improvements could be made to the information provided about the cars and the museum's facilities, the overall experience is generally positive and well-regarde.

Today was an incredible day of exploration and wonder at the Emirates National Auto Museum! I was particularly awestruck by the massive Willy's Jeep, a Guinness World Record holder as the largest motorized model car. Its sheer size was breathtaking, and I had to get a picture standing next to its giant tires to truly appreciate the scale. The certificate on display confirmed its impressive 4-to-1 scale, a testament to the ingenuity of HH Sheikh Hamad Bin Hamdan Al Nahyan. Inside, the gigantic red Dodge Power Wagon was another showstopper, dwarfing everything around it. It was a day filled with automotive marvels, from these oversized beasts to the many other unique vehicles on display, making it an unforgettable experience.

Cool museum with lots of cars. Place is not super well maintained but worth the quick visit. Can finish the whole place in 30 mins. Can park inside. Paid 113 AED for 2 adults to park inside. Place closes 5pm.

Worth a visit even if you are not a car enthusiast. Still an incredible collection of cars. I do wish we still could have access to the airplane in the back of the property. We saw an oryx walking in the back property from the world vehicle. I also love the rainbow gate that is off to the side of the property that can only been seen once you exit the property and take your first right.
