Truly Lovely Café Freshly made and organic products, delicious coffee, and really nice service. A cozy spot with great attention to quality and detail. Loved it!

We stayed 3N at this cozy accomodation from June 20-23. Barbara checked us in and both she and her daughter were most welcoming and friendly throughout our stay esp whenever we had some questions.||Everything was prepared in the 2 rooms and the premises were very clean.||We had the double room on the 1F (one flight of stairs) and the attic at the top (2 flights of stairs). This may be an issue for some who have to bring large suitcases up and down as there is no lift. Thankfully we managed.||For those who are tall, it’s best to avoid the attic room as you are likely to knock your head on the sharp lower angled ceiling in some places.||There is a fridge, a very small safe, good supply of coffee and tea sachets. Cups, spoons, plates and cutlery on the desk. Adequate lamps to light up the room giving it a cozy ambience. Beds were comfortable.||There is no aircon and they provided a fan. It was around 20-27 degrees during our stay and it can get a little warm if there is no wind. The windows can be opened and faces the garden so no issue with noise unless the guests on the ground floor room talk loudly when they are in the garden. Thankfully we didnt get any whiff of cigarette odor from them.||We like the security and arrangement of the keys when going out and returning - they are closed early on some days (17:30pm) so the arrangement ensured we could open the front door when we got back. ||Tip: when using the ROOM key to open or lock the door from the outside, give the door handle a gentle pull towards you before turning the key. This helps with the alignment of the door.||It’s a 12min flat walk from the train station to EMMA but it’s an unsheltered walk.||During checkout, we chose to take the bus to the station on the checkout day as we had larger suitcases. The bus stop on Stadhaus is just a 5min walk and there are around 4 buses that go to the station - 2nd stop which takes around 4 mins. Make sure you cross the road for the right direction to the station. The buses dont require steps and is easy to get the luggages on board - it was not crowded when we took the bus around 8am on a weekday. ||Thankfully the rain stopped before we checked out as we still had to walk to the bus stop.||EMMA is a cozy little place, the rooms and bathrooms are spacious enough - the whole vibe in the area is wonderful. The team running the accomodation and cafe is absolutely wonderful. ||We didn’t take breakfast but slept in and decided to do Brunch at Santa Lucia (good delicious wood fired pizza) near the station. The mushroom soup at La Pergola is excellent - their spaghetti was pretty good but portions are large. It’s a short walk on Stadhaus from EMMA.||EMMA serves a very refreshing cold chai latte and the cheesecake is worth having. Such a quaint little place cafe and the whole area around Oberer Garten is a wonderful place to chill out al fresco. Winterthur itself is so pleasant to walk around and there are several direct trains to Zurich airport (12-15min ride).||We hope to stay here again should we visit Switzerland in the future.

Amazing place with kindest people I've ever met. Rooms are very clean and get cleaned every day which surprised me. You'll find everything you need. Big comfortable bed, big bathtub, very warm room, lot of towels, delicious tea. I strongly recommend to take breakfasts. Everything is homemade and it's absolutely delicious. I loved it so much I bought jar of jam:) Kind regards to whole crew for amazing service.

I've stayed here on several occasions since summer 2015 till summer 2016 and stayed in all 3 rooms they offer. ||Top floor, room n3, is an attique room, very spacious with comfortable chairs from designer Danish brand Bo concept and a comfortable bed (Ikea, but honestly makes you sleep like a baby). It's the only room it has a shower and a bathroom is rather tiny. The annoying factor is a noise of the small fridge that you need to unplugg otherwise you risk waking up during the night.||On the first floor is room n2, acctually my favourite. It has a spacious bathroom with a baththub and a big double bed, like in every room. ||On the ground floor, room n1 is similar to room n2, but with an access to a garden. The downsize of this room is that you will hear all the comings and goings of the stuff and guests. ||Due its location you are guaranteed to have peace and quiet, the shop and bistro closes around 18h and you are in a dead center of old Town that is a pedestrian zone. The B&B has improved, there is a recent addition of Swisscom TV with a variety of channels with a recall function, and finally they put a hand soap in the bathroom (beyond me why they didnt do it before). Also they became more flexible with prices, they do offer last minute deals which was not an issue before. The breakfast takes place in their lovely bistro and it consists of fresh bread, croissant, muesli, juice and coffee. If you are hoping for a traditional continental breakfast (eggs & ham), this is not an option.||During my last stay there was a problem with hot water, there wasnt|any 2 nights in a row, and they were kind enough to offer a lower price for my stay.||I have stayed (so far) in four different hotels in Winterthour and due its location and personal touch it is my favourite. I find a full price a bit pricey, but if you can get a last minute deal go for it!

Small, quiet place in the city centre. Atelier room is spacious, clean, bathroom is also ok. Breakfast consisting of a bagel with jam, nutella and cheese is just to get you started in the morning, it's not the all you can eat buffet. Big thumbs up for the good coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice. Another plus is a small kettle with a supply of various teas and coffee - especially if you're coming late in the evening and the Bagel shop is already closed.||Rather expensive for the B&B.

Highly recommended for young families with kids. They provided us with toys and books, food is very nice, service is excellent. By large group I recommend to book in advance as the place is rather tiny. We will be back again the next time we go to Winthi! :)

We had 3 nights in the garden room while in Winterthur for a conference. The room was spacious and well equipped. Big bathroom. Very comfortable bed. Simple breakfast in the adjacent cafe. Room is quiet and opens onto a lovely garden. Highly recommended.
