Absolutely unacceptable and unsafe living conditions at Emory Point.
This building has two elevators, and both have been out of service or dangerously malfunctioning for months:
Elevator #1: Broken for several months. Almost every time I try to use it, it gets stuck on the first floor with doors that won’t close. It takes 3 - 4 minutes of repeated attempts before the doors finally shut, and when this happens, the other elevator cannot even be called.
Elevator #2: Even worse. In just the past week, it has dropped two full floors with me inside on four separate occasions. That’s about every other day I have been forced to experience a terrifying free-fall. My personal safety has been at constant risk.
This week: Both elevators are now completely out of service. I have an ankle injury, yet I am forced to climb six floors daily while carrying groceries. This is unacceptable for any apartment community, let alone one that charges premium rent.
To make things worse, I have submitted four maintenance requests regarding the elevators. Management has never once sent anyone to fix them. Instead, they repeatedly mark my requests as “completed” without doing any actual work. This is dishonest and shows a complete disregard for residents’ safety.
Emory Point charges luxury prices but fails to provide even the most basic standard of safety and livability. I strongly warn anyone considering moving here. You should think twice before putting your health and safety at risk.
