Usually, I'm not the kind of person who writes reviews of any kind, but I think this time I'll break my rule. I travel to Puerto Vallarta often, and usually stayed at the Hotel Emperador. This time, I arrived to PV on a Thursday, after settling and resting for a while, went out for a walk. When I returned to the hotel, I went to bed. In the morning I noted some mosquito bites (that's what I thought they were), and since my friends were arriving later in the week, I made a mention of my mosquito bites. The second morning I woke up and my body was covered from head to toe in bites. I noted some kind bug in the linen of my bed, about the size of a sesame seed, and others already the size of a sunflower seed. Also, noted a whole bunch of specks of blood all over the bed. The itching and the number of bites were so great that soon after complaining to front desk, I went to see a doctor, who prescribed an antibiotic and medicine for the itching. Upon returning to the hotel, I noticed that they were removing the mattress from the room. The hotel staff assigned me a different room, since I had reservation for one more night. This was an experience that I do not wish upon anyone, and I will not forget in a long time. My friends, who had reservations at this same Hotel, decided to change them, after they saw how my body was full of bites. I never got any type of apology from management, no one even bothered checking how I was, or felt, on the contrary they wanted me to sign some documents releasing the hotel of any responsibility, which I did not do. Like I said in the beginning, I'm not the kind of person who complains or bothers taking legal action, but at the least I expected a formal apology which never came.
