I don't ever write reviews and always try to give business the benefit of the doubt, but after today I will not be going back to this coffee shop. Ive worked as a barista so I understand customer service and I know coffee.
I've always gotten a oat milk latte from here and honestly they were normally pretty good. Ive been treated rudely before by the same gal, but ignore it cus I've thought "maybe she's having a bad day".
Today I spent over $7 on a medium vanilla oat milk latte. I don't want to be mean or rude, but it literally was the grossest latte I've ever had. I know oat milk lattes and this drink had a little foam and was black. I also was with someone else and they said their drink tasted bad too cus I wanted to make sure it wasn't just me.
So we went up to the employee which, from what I was told is the manager. I very nicely told her something didn't taste right. I shared I've had lattes here before and they've been good but this is really gross. Showed her my cup and said its not as creamy as it should be and it's black. I tried to be kind because again, I was a barista, I understand.
She just starred at me and proceeded to say "oat milk lattes aren't supposed to be creamy." She Didn't offer to remake it or anything. Said it was the new milk they have... it was really awkward and honesty I was super annoyed and didn't know what to say after that interaction. If someone pays over $7 for a coffee drink and tell you it's gross, it's not personal and you should do something about it, not make excuses about the milk.
This isn't the first confrontation I've had with this same gal, she's sometimes nice and then other times rude. I want to support small businesses but this is a problem.
I'm just not going to be spending my money there anymore when I could go to a Starbucks and get something good for the same Price!
