No complaints about food. We had biriyani and grilled chicken and it was absolutely amazing. But what I really didn't like was the rude behaviour of the serving staff. He is an old man. We had some confusion about the biriyani and was just politely asking. This person started being so rude to us as if we are eating food there for free. My rating came down to two stars solely for the serving staff's behaviour.

Haven't been to rooms but the restaurant is same as all other empires Good food and friendly staff, best part about this branch is it's location. Place is also neat and clean. Lot of place to sit and have a comfortable meal. Ghee rice and butter chicken is the best combo you must try. All in all good experience, will keep visiting as usual again and again

I recently visited the Empire Restaurant on Church Street, and my experience was nothing short of delightful. The restaurant has always been known for its consistency and charm, and this visit once again reaffirmed why it remains one of my preferred dining destinations in the city. The highlight of my meal was the grilled chicken paired with their signature ghee rice. The chicken was cooked to perfection—tender, juicy, and seasoned with just the right balance of spices that brought out an authentic and robust flavor. The smokiness of the grill added an irresistible depth that complemented the richness of the dish beautifully. Alongside, the ghee rice was fragrant, fluffy, and carried that subtle buttery aroma which paired wonderfully with the chicken. Together, the combination created a truly satisfying and memorable meal. Beyond the food, what stood out was the warm and welcoming atmosphere. From the moment I stepped in, I felt an immediate sense of comfort. The team managed to strike the perfect balance between attentiveness and giving guests their space, which made the dining experience smooth and enjoyable. Every detail, from the presentation of dishes to the timely service, reflected a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. This was not my first visit to the Empire, what impresses me most is the consistency they maintain. Each time, the food arrives with the same freshness and flavor, and the dining experience feels special. It’s rare to find a place that can deliver such reliable excellence in both cuisine and service. Empire on Church Street continues to shine as a dependable destination for a hearty meal. The grilled chicken and ghee rice alone are worth returning for, and I look forward to many more visits in the future.

We had a very disappointing experience with the service here. We waited for over an hour for our food, while understanding that a 15–30 minute delay can be normal during busy hours. What made it frustrating was that people who came after us were served the same dish we had ordered, while we sat waiting like forgotten customers. To make things worse, the person who initially took our order kept walking past our table but never checked if we had received the food. Only when we enquired with the manager did we learn that our order had been misplaced. Within 5 minutes of raising it, the food finally arrived. On the positive side, the staff member who brought the food was very polite and apologised for the delay, even though it wasn’t his mistake. A sweet gesture that we really appreciated. The food itself was excellent — the chicken boneless biriyani was bang on with soft, flavorful chicken, and the al faham was also really good. The kitchen clearly knows what they’re doing, but the service and coordination need serious improvement. If you’re patient (or lucky), the food won’t disappoint — but the service left us frustrated.

We had ghee rice, porotta grilled chicken, butter chicken, loaded fries and the lemonade. Food was decent. Porotta was too thick and heavy. Ghee rice, Fries and lemonade were too good. The waiting was too long but its a prime location, so cant expect any less.

I’ve been going here since I was a kid. Always a satisfying meal at Empire! They’ve been experimenting a lot with the menu lately but the best part about Empire is that they always nail the basics! Late night dining at empire is always soul satisfying. They say you’ll never have to search for an empire after along night, an Empire will find you!

Had a fantastic dining experience at Empire recently, and it deserves a detailed shout-out. We started off with their signature ghee rice, and it instantly set the tone for the meal. The rice was perfectly cooked, aromatic, and had that rich, buttery flavour that Empire consistently gets right. Every spoonful paired beautifully with the sides we ordered. The fiery wings were exactly what the name promises — bold, spicy, and absolutely addictive. They had a great balance of heat and flavour, making them a must-try for anyone who enjoys a good kick. The chicken chukka was another standout dish. The pieces were tender and well-roasted, with a generous coating of masala that was full of depth and perfectly seasoned. You could taste the freshness and care in the preparation. One of the highlights of the meal was the massive 1L lassi. Thick, creamy, chilled, and refreshing — it’s perfect for sharing and works amazingly well to calm down the spice from the fiery wings. It’s almost a dessert by itself! But we didn’t stop there — the coconut pudding was the perfect finishing touch. Light, smooth, mildly sweet, and incredibly soothing after a flavour-heavy meal. Overall, Empire delivered a consistently satisfying experience with quick service, generous portions, and dishes packed with flavour. If you’re craving hearty, comforting non-veg food with dependable taste, Empire never disappoints. Highly recommended! Only thing lagging was the parking (not on premises)

Good food experience. Would definitely recommend for non vegetarian lovers. Had coin paratha which is something which we don't get in Mumbai so easily. Also their chicken biryani and gravies are good.
