Emporium Thai is a vibrant Westwood gem serving mouthwatering Southern Thai dishes like curry and noodles, all in a cozy, celebrity-adorned space.
"For all the great Thai restaurants you’ll find in this city, there’s a bit of a lull surrounding Westwood/West LA when it comes to great curries and Thai noodle dishes. It’s also why knowing about Emporium is so useful. This family-run spot on Westwood Blvd. is our favorite Thai spot in the area (also, Cardi B endorses it) with a fun, lively dining room perfect for big groups and an expansive menu that assures even your pickiest roommate will find something to eat. That said, our favorite dish here is the bright, slightly sweet southern curry seafood (a family recipe) with a side of crispy Phuket wings. The wings come with the same southern curry sauce, so we recommend switching it out with tamarind to give a nice tangy balance to the spicy seafood." - nikko duren, brant cox
"Operated by one of the members of the family that also runs Jitlada in Hollywood’s Thai Town, Emporium is one of West LA’s most respected Thai restaurants, serving stellar saucy wings, yellow or green curries, and of course, wok-fried noodle dishes like pad see ew and pad Thai." - Matthew Kang
"If you’re in Westwood or West LA and craving Thai food, Emporium Thai is an excellent option. This family-run restaurant serves tasty versions of noodles, curries, and other Thai-style street food. Takeout and delivery are both available." - brant cox
"For all the incredible Thai restaurants you’ll find in this city, there’s a bit of a desert surrounding Westwood/West LA when it comes to great curries and Thai noodle dishes. It’s also why knowing about Emporium is so useful. This family-run spot on Westwood Blvd. is easily our favorite Thai spot in the area (heck, even Cardi B endorses it) with a fun, lively dining room perfect for big groups and an expansive menu that assures even your pickiest roommate will find something to eat. That said, our favorite dish here is the bright, slightly sweet southern curry seafood (a family recipe for over three generations) with a side of crispy Phuket wings. The wings come with the same southern curry sauce, so we recommend switching it out with tamarind to give a nice tangy balance to the spiciness of the seafood." - Brant Cox
"With a craving for Thai food on the Westside, Emporium in Westwood from John Sungkamee (the younger brother of “Jazz” Singsanong and the late Suthiporn “Tui” Sungkamee) and might be the best bet. The Phuket wings come laced with rich Southern curry sauce that work as a nice foil against the deeply crisped chicken wings. Usually Thai chicken wings tend to be sweet and tangy with a fully coated sauce, but these savory bites are a terrific starter ahead of entrees like massamum shrimp curry and Thai basil chicken for Emporium’s dineLA lunch menu, which is available on a cloistered back patio behind the restaurant." - Eater Staff
