Our arrival was very late in the evening, but the friendly receptionist Julia gave us a warm welcome and took care of our luggage. There is a private parking lot in a building next door, or the entrance to the public parking building, Les Halles, is right next to the hotel. The bar was still open, and we had some red wine brought to our room. It was too late for us to use the hotel spa. The room was on the second floor with a direct view of the Loire, which had little water. To our delight, we saw several birds in the river the next morning, such as the great egret, common tern, and kingfisher. The room and bathroom were modern, with harmonious furniture and colors, and the bed was very comfortable. I would especially like to mention the breakfast buffet, with a variety of fresh products and a very large selection of fruit, cheese, charcuterie, eggs, bacon, cereal, yogurt, juices, and bread. The Earl Grey tea was excellent, as was the cappuccino. The hotel is located south of the old town and pedestrian zone, on the Loire River and the Loire board walk. The cathedral and the Jean d'Arc monument are just a 10-minute walk from the city center. This 4-star hotel is priced upscale, but it also delivers value for money. I highly recommend it.
