Empreinte Hotel

A wonderful hotel – highly recommended. The room was perfect for me: an extremely comfortable bed, beautiful boutique-style design, and complete silence, even though the window faced the street. The interiors are stylish, modern, and very thoughtfully designed, creating a warm and relaxing atmosphere. Breakfast was excellent – a wide selection of fresh, high-quality food, and the croissant was simply amazing! 🥐 The staff truly deserve special mention: incredibly friendly, helpful, and always smiling. You immediately feel welcome and well taken care of. A place I would happily return to. Piotr

Best of the seven hotels we stayed in on our road trip. Reception staff very helpful, and all spoke fluent English, which saved them from my best franglais! Room was well furnished, clean and modern. Dog friendly with treats and bed provided for the dog! Well positioned for river walk just across the road from the hotel, and easy walking access to town centre. We booked car parking space, which is just down the road from the hotel. Complimentary bottles of water when we checked out. Would recommend.

I love this hotel. It is well placed by the river and in the bustling part of the city. The deco is great and the spa. I have been coming several times a year for the past 5 years and tried all rooms. During December I usually come with my husband and two kids and rent the Unik suite. This year I tried to rent it but they told me they took away the pull out couch that I usually place my kids on. I don’t know if they changed managers or what but she was very rude. I’m a good customer and they didn’t want to make any accommodations. They wanted to charge extra for one bed and have my other kid sleep on the sofa. Didn’t care at all and was unprofessional, to the point where I went to another hotel. What a disappointment! I went from living the hotel to not going there.

Although the view over the Loire was beautiful, the room was not ideal: the beds were too soft, the design of the rooms a bit odd and we had the bad luck to arrive in spider season, which resulted to many spiders being in our room. It’s nice that the spa and sauna are included in the price, but the facilities are far from what someone can expect from a real welness. It looks more like an installation someone would place at home. A decent and convenient stay if you want to be in the city center and have a nice view, but expensive if you look at the total picture. We paid 154 EUR for a night.

Shower leaks all over the floor. We had to roll up a town and wedge it between the door and the shower basin to keep it from flooding the entire room. Room was hot and stuffy, someone was fighting outside so opening the window was a bit rough. Staff was exceptional and the town is beautiful.

I would unfortunately not recommend this hotel. It does not live up to its four star rating. We were given a room off the lobby that had no hot water and no air conditioning. The front desk staff said our water wasn’t hot because everyone in the hotel was showering at once. Even if this were true, not my problem. The excuse offered for the air conditioning was non existent. They said there was nothing that could be done. Although the staff was nice, they were young and lacked the sophistication of a more seasoned staff. Our first floor room sat on a busy road and we could hear the cars as well as the music the cars were blasting all night long. We requested to be moved, but there were no rooms available. No amenity was offered as good a good faith attempt at restoring our confidence. Breakfast was meh. Thankfully our stay was short. I will not return.

There are so many positives about the Empreinte Hotel: a perfect location right on the river and the Loire a Velo bike path (windows are well constructed so we didn't hear any street or river noise) and just steps from all the sites to see in Orleans. The staff are very friendly and helpful and very accustomed to having bicycle travelers at the hotel. (They have secure bicycle parking next to the hotel.) Breakfast is a huge buffet in a spacious room with everything you could possibly want. Our room was a little small/dark, but in good condition and perfectly functional. And as others have mentioned, the very modern bathrooms were carved out of the room space and the walls do not go all the way up to the ceiling. That can lead to some "sound effects" but nothing to trouble us after 45 years of marriage!

A lovely hotel. Fantastic location. Guest focused service. Luxurious room and bath, with a wonderful river view. Breakfast offerings were expansive, diverse, and delicious. Did not have the opportunity to take advantage of the spa. Brigitte is a gracious and delightful host. Oh, and very dog friendly.
