We stayed here for 2 nights in August. This hotel is tough to drive to, near impossible really. Taxis are able to navigate the super skinny roads and single lanes with two way traffic. There is absolutely no parking nearby either. So if you are traveling by taxi, then this place is fantastic. It’s a great location surrounded by heaps of cute coffee shops, restaurants and markets. Every person that works here is kind, friendly and helpful. Max took great care of us and made sure we had transport to the airport, plenty of bottled water, plenty of Pisco Sours, and was just overall helpful and friendly. He has obviously been trained in excellent customer service. The restaurant on site was surprisingly good. We had the Lomo Saltado & Pumpkin Soup & Pasta Bolognese. Everything was very tasty. There is also a comfortable seating area in the lobby, lovely seating area outside over looking the city, and don’t forget to check out the 4th floor outdoor patio. Best place to get a photo of Cuzco. I had a great 90 minute massage as well. It’s a very small spa with two massage beds in one room. They will do a single massage but obviously would prefer 2 at once. I would absolutely recommend this place if you are traveling by foot/taxi. This is in the San Blas neighborhood and it’s a good walk down to the Plaza Del Armas and a steep walk back up. So you should be pretty mobile and able to get around without assistance to stay at this hotel. It’s 4 stories and there is no elevator. The circular staircase is somewhat narrow. Staff will help you with your luggage of course.

A good location with easy access to the square and Sacsayhuaman is also within walking distance. ||Staff were really friendly and helpful. ||Rooms are spacious and perfectly comfortable. The hot water bottle was a nice touch as evenings can get chilly. That said, a fridge in the room would have been perfect to keep drinks cold. Or even access to a water cooler to fill up (less plastic too!)||Rooms can be a little noisy as they are all off a central staircase and people are arriving and leaving at all hours. If its of concern maybe a higher floor room would be better. No views over the city from our room, but the terrace and balcony are a bonus.||There was plenty of choice at breakfast with omelettes cooked to order. Very enjoyable. We also had an evening meal at the hotel which was very good.

This hotel is a unique gem of a place. Peaceful area beautiful views. The welcome we had was the best. Warm and friendly. We had our very heavy suitcases carried up the stairs.|The food was a bit slow in coming at the restaurant but very good. |The best bit was the hot water bottle in the bed. It's so warm and cosy.|Breakfast was excellent, too. Excellent hotel definitely would stay again

Great place to stay in a calm area, close to the city centre. Extremely friendly and helpful staff, varied breakfast options and the warm water bottle which is put into your bed every night is a huge bonus in Cusco, where the nights tend to be colder. A perfect place for people who would like to enjoy and relax.

We will write a review about the hotel in general when we leave (which has so far been great), but just wanted to leave a positive comment for Ruth & Fiorela who gave myself and my sister in law an excellent leg massage after our multi-day trek. We were very tired and achey, but these lovely ladies made the experience very relaxing and enjoyable. A fantastic leg massage, cannot praise them enough 🙏

Review Title: Beautiful Setting Undermined by Chaotic, Incompetent Service||||We stayed here for three nights in May. Despite the property’s obvious potential, our stay was disrupted many times by unprofessional, disorganised, and frankly careless service that made us more stressed than relaxed.||||Positives:||The setting was peaceful the view is lovely and the location is decent - close to the main square, though there was a steep walk.||||Negatives:||||Massage Booking Mishap:||We visited the hotel in person days in advance where we booked massages and paid a deposit. During our actual stay a few days later, we arrived for the appointment and the staff had no record of the booking or the payment. We were able to rebook a couple hours later but we were only spared not having to pay twice because we kept the receipt. The experience was completely avoidable and revealed a total lack of basic organisation and we were offered no apology.||||Lost Laundry:||We used the hotel’s laundry service which included some expensive items and several went missing. The hotel had no system for tracking what had been handed in we had to chase up multiple times to ask if they could take a look for them. Each follow-up was like a brand new conversation, with no one seeming to have any memory or note that we had previously asked reception for this to happen and not once did anyone seem particularly bothered. One item was returned - dirty - just before checkout. The rest were never recovered.||||Refund Disaster:||By far the most egregious experience. As an apology for the laundry debacle, we were told we’d receive a 50% refund on our massages and when it came to check-out, we only paid half the amount, as promised. However, the day after leaving - and with no communication this would happen - the remaining charge was taken from my card. I got hold of the hotel and explained the situation and was promised the money would then be refunded. After chasing them for *two* months via phone calls, emails and Whatsapp, we were fed a mix of silence (most of our Whatsapp messages were left on read) and empty reassurances: “the money has been sent,” “try emailing us,” etc. The refund never came.||||Other Disappointments:||- Ants got into our (sealed) food after just an hour in the locked room.||||- The in-room lockbox was broken, and staff couldn’t find the spare key, which was a serious concern given the our room was on the ground floor next to a communal area.||||- A bar across the street played loud music until 11 PM - something to consider if you’re hoping for uninterrupted peace and quiet.||||Overall:||This place could be special, but the sheer incompetence on display - from mismanaged bookings to vanishing laundry and broken promises - made it one of the most frustrating hotel experiences I’ve had. A nice view unfortunately could not compensate for feeling ignored and undervalued as a guest. I wouldn’t return, and I would actively recommend to avoid!

The hotel is very nice, well located, and the view from the fourth floor is fantastic, but it lacks three basic points:||1) terrible showers;||2) lack of blackout curtains in the rooms (everything is very bright at night, streetlights are on);||3) unstable Wi-Fi, dropped frequently.||Last night I had the worst shower of my life, even though I had complained about the low water pressure several times, and they even changed rooms. However, the new room had even worse water pressure. I complained twice, but they didn't fix it.||I imagine it's a problem with the plumbing system, which can't handle the number of rooms. Even though it was off-peak (9:30 p.m.), my shower yesterday was terrible. I sent two videos to the hotel showing the shower flow.

Small but very comfy hotel in a great location and has the best views of central Cusco. Our bed was very comfortable and the hot water bottles they provide in the evenings were a very nice touch. The staff were exceptional - they were friendly yet professional, knowledgeable about the area and provided support to help us acclimate to the high altitude. On our last day we opted to get a deep tissue massage. Our therapists Ruth and Roxana were excellent! The massage was amazing - much needed after two challenging hikes. Highly recommend Hotel Encantada if you are staying in Cusco!
