Se booked the hotel thinking for the price it would be a great experience with superb service and no |The reservations woman gema rude and cero customer oriented for this suposodly level of hotel. Before we arrived webtried to talk with the manager who wasnt available and didnt return our call until we arrived once we arrived she was attentive|The rest of the staff in the hotel very good |We had the pool villa was very nice with nice flowers to welcome us, but poorly maintained the pool floor peeling off and the white paint also falls off and painted every part of our body and caused a irritation we tried again to call the manager and never got back we had to go to the front desk to find someone,we reported it and they basically just said we will see and didnt even care|The amenities are basic nothing espectacular just refilled cream conditioner and shampoo|Internet was slow and intermitent at the pool and room so if you have to work or conferences forget it and phone signal is poor in some parts|We asked for snacks at the pool and the quality portions and taste was less than average especially for a hotel theoritacally of this level, we decided not to risk dinner and went close by to a restaurant wich was fabolous|We asked for breakfast the next day and again the food arrived cold and very plain again for the price you would expect something great and again just average|The hotel was pretty full and chairs and seats by the pool totally limited|Houses nearby were being remodeled and all day you could hear the banging of hammers etc|We had to call 3 times sonthey picked up the empty food tray from our room|The construccion is beautiful but poorly maintained, level of service is average to good nothing espectacular and the food is just average|Again not what you receive from similar price hotels and basically no one cared

I don’t know if the hotel is bankrupt or something and has no personnel but the service takes AGES, like really, any time we asked for food it arrived more than 30 minutes later (and if at the pool, even more). The bed is ONLY lined with bedsheets, they said they simply did not manage blankets or duvets (in a damn hotel!) so we slept terribly, even if the bed mattress was actually nice. Isn’t the whole point of a hotel to NOT have to take a blanket to sleep smoothly? I can’t “forget my responsibilities” as they say in their welcome if I can’t even sleep!!!||A smoothie they gave me was made in the same blender as some sauce and tasted like roasted chilli, they also sometimes forgot the stuff we asked but were about to charge it anyway ¿?. The free coffee capsules in the room tasted old (so why give them out anyway?).||The villas are nice, but for some reason the sink itself is HUGE but there is no place to put your toiletries, not even a tiny space on the side, which again is like ¿?|The lighting of the room is supposed to be romantic or something but I simply could not see well at night, especially in the bathroom|The shampoo and conditioner is supposed to be organic but it’s just another word for “it’s expensive and doesn’t work”.||The food is ok but really expensive (not amazing, barely at the same level as everything else in Acapulco; everything out there is so good!), we ended up eating out a lot in the end which was nice but not ideal.|They say no speakers allowed but the hotel is blasting music through the speakers the whole day. I don’t care if the hotel paid for a carefully selected playlist, I want a bit of silence too!||So in conclusion, yes it has high quality facilities and the rooms look nice, but it’s in the daily details which made me dread my stay for the whole week.

Superb! A beautiful view from the Acapulco bay. The architecture of the building is splendid.

Encantó Hotel was everything and more! I could not recommend this hotel enough. My boyfriend and I were looking for somewhere to relax and disconnect and we definitely came to the right place.. The facilities are so beautiful and architecturally so well thought out and designed. The pool and lounge beds are so comfortable and where we spent most of the day. The staff at breakfast, the pool and restaurant for dinner were so professional, attentive and kind. Jose Miguel at the pool provided some of the best service I’ve had since moving to Mexico…. The views from the rooms and especially from the spa are breathtaking. We will definitely be coming back for another trip to Encanto.

Pros: great views, close to the main strip in Acapulco, kids allowed Cons: this is an expensive 5 star hotel & yet nothing about staying here feels high end. It’s one of those hotels that instead of taking care of you just tries to scam you at every corner. Be aware that on top of the cost of your room, at check out they charge a daily service fee that is not advertised when you book your room. I’m not sure what the service fee is for since the service is terrible. Especially the receptionist. The beds only come with one papery sheet. We were freezing cold & asked for blankets & they brought us 1 more sheet. They charge you extravagantly for water. I get that it’s a hotel. But it’s just purified water they charge you for, not even bottled water. They serve the water in a glass water bottle that has been resealed BUT you can tell it’s old & refilled with purified tap water because the paint is chipping off the water bottle. The food is really average, but extremely expensive. Expect to spend about 100 USD at each meal for 2 people & still leave hungry. We stayed in one of the villas & honestly didn’t feel very safe. There is a road that goes behind the villas & nothing to stop anyone from the road to climb up on your patio. The lock on our door also didn’t work properly. As the dump truck was moving around the neighborhood below our villa smelled like trash for 1 hour. Staying here just really isn’t worth the price. A better, cheaper option with better views, service & food in Banyan Tree Cabo Marques.

Luis and Alberto went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed to make our dining experience a pleasant one. I would definitely come back to experience their superb service. Food was also top notch. Definitely a must try

Google
Unfortunately our experience didn’t match our expectations. It was our 4th time staying at this location and they still have water availability issues in the rooms as well as the fact that they didn’t honor the 3.00 pm check in policy. All of this with only a “sorry for the inconveniences”. Very low standards for what they charge.

Yelp
How was our stay? You mean how is our stay? Well currently I would have to say if you aren't already here, then do not come! ...In fact stay far FAR away from this crap hole of a place. Seriously I've stayed in alot of nice hotels and a lot of crappy ones and this one by far takes the cake. Let's start with breakfast. Breakfast with a view? How about breakfast full of swarming pest, and a view of the ocean? Try a view of none stop purple flowers!!! If you plan on seeing the ocean while you wait for breakfast, plan on standing up to see it. If you plan on eating food...don't! Unless you like it nice and cold, with absolutely zero seasoning, and I do mean ZERO. We were the first two people at the restaurant this morning and it took over an hour plus to get our food. TELL ME HOW DOES IT TAKE OVER AN HOUR PLUS WHEN WE WERE LITERALLY YOUR ONLY GUEST???? Next thing, Our room... Well we got their best room and it includes an infinity pool, extremely gorgeous...too bad you can't actually see the ocean from it though...why do you ask? Purple freaking flowers!!!! ...Why would anyone intentionally advertise this as ocean view if the only way you can see the ocean from literally any spot in this room is if you stand up to see it? Next issue...if you are a female stay away because this room is extremely extremely dark. The only lights is a blue light. We knocked over a glass bc we couldn't see what we were doing. 5 hours later it still wasn't cleaned up. (It's now 1:34am) We asked for lamps...5.5hrs later (currently as I'm writing this) they still haven't brought them up. Wow! I have never seen a hotel that charges over $700/usd per night with this kind of service. This is beyond ridiculous. ...and as if that was enough now the speakers in our room are on full blast with an extreme buzzing sound and there doesn't appear like there is a way to fix it. Stay away! (Bc instead of actually fixing them guess what he just unplugged them so now the tv has no speakers. Priceless. Perfect example of gold star standard I guess ) See photo of our almost 2am visit from maintenence below! I would never come back here even if they paid us. We check out on the 1st to go to Bayan Tree and let me tell you I wish it was tomorrow! NEVER AGAIN. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS HELL HOLE. ***Edit - 10:28am Housekeeper continues to knock on door after told no over 10 times. She still opens door anyway. She sees us in bed and leaves. But guess what? She leaves the door OPEN and completely UNLOCKED. Unbelievable!!! What if someone was a female alone in this room or our passports and valuables were out???? All our stuff could have easily been stolen or worse, someone could have just came right in and done whatever they wanted. This is a foreign country. Unbelievable. Just unfreaking believable!

Yelp
Encanto means charm, enchantment, loveliness. The name wasn't exaggerating! Located on top of one of the most emblematic areas in Acapulco, this hotel glows inside and out. This time from the distance, it was illuminated by a magnetic purple light. The attention was outstanding since our arrival until the sad time of departing. The crew really makes you feel special; they help, guide, and seem happy when you're enjoying. We were taken to the front desk where a passionflower drink was offered, when they saw our bag with empty beers, they added "mezcal" to the sentence!!! Yei!!! When I turned and saw the lights surrounding the beautiful Acapulco's bay, I almost dropped the glass. Even though I've visited this land so many times, each one has been different. This was to say goodbye and hello (my father was born there and his ashes rest in the ocean). Anyways, the view blew my mind away. Such a good spot to take amazing pictures, my recommendation: don't miss the sunsets. The decoration is minimalist with natural colourful touches, like fishbowls, candles and flowers. The room had a well-stocked mini bar, a terrace with view to the bay, the bed was super comfy, and for amenities: they give you L'occitane products!!! The pool was relaxing. I spotted a couple of well behaved kids and thought: they could've been having more fun in other hotels with more activities and areas for them... Nothing against lil ones, just saying that the pool+view were tempting... This is a perfect romantic getaway. I would advice guys to bring upset girlfriends/wifeys to make peace in here. This charming place for sure left a great impression in this ex angry, now relaxed woman.

Yelp
The service from the moment you arrive is nothing short of excellence. The sleek design and immaculate detail from top to bottom makes this hotel dreamy! You can find a breathtaking view from just about anywhere. The restaurants are top notch, delicious! I could honestly go on and on, but it you want the absolute best... stay here! My husband and I decided to honeymoon here and I can say it was the best decision we could have made!

Yelp
Acapulco had it's hey day starting around the mid-1950s and into the early 1990s. Since then, it's decadence has been difficult to deny. Well, Encanto Hotel, specifically, it's restaurant, Origen is doing a wonderful job of putting it back on the map of vacation destinations! It's no wonder JLo chose this hotel a few years ago to film a video. I was told she rented out the whole place for herself and her entourage! First off, I love the fact that I was able to make reservations on Open Table. So convenient! The hotel where Origen is located is tucked away on top of a hill and past two security gates. At that point, I felt as an exclusive guest as JLo! Once we arrived at the reception desk of Encanto, we warmly greeted and guided toward the restaurant. Once we arrive, we see a breathtaking a view of Acapulco's Santa Lucía Bay! Irving our maître d'/server, Irving made us feel welcome and appreciated. We followed all of his drink and food suggestions and were not disappointed. The appetizer sampler shouldn't be missed. The cocktails are finely crafted and scrumptious! Our main entrees were delectable! The asado negro and rib eye are excellent choices for carnivores looking for a break from seafood. The desserts are exceptional. Order the guanabana flan, you won't be disappointed! I have to add that Irving and the rest of the wait staff surprised us with a special anniversary dessert as they saw on our Open Table reservation that we were celebrating our special day. I hope that we begin to see a stronger renaissance in Acapulco. I am certain that high quality places like Encanto and Origen Restaurant will make this happen, especially when they employ professional, warm and friendly locals like Irving and other servers such as Christian, Alberto, and Neftali. The kitchen staff should also be commended as they painstakingly create fine dishes that we thoroughly enjoyed! The staff truly made our experience unforgettable!

Yelp
I will admit, I was daunted by Acapulco's reputation when coming here. I live on the edge of west hollywood & beverly hills and i was reading stupid xenophobic articles thinking holy moly (and yes, theyre very overdramatized). I looked at the banyan tree cabo marques and its pretty clear that its a hotel that wants to be a four seasons (but isn't). This hotel, however, has owners (I've seen them supervising the trimming of palm trees personally during the day) and esthetics overall that I have never seen before, ever. To be honest this hotel could be one in greece, and a very first rate one at that. The staff is personable and friendly at all times.... and not in a phony way. Yes, jennifer lopez filmed a music video here with pit bull (thank god I wasn't a guest then) but here's some real info rather than hyperbole- absolutely and meticulously opulent, personally guarded by not one but two gates going up a steep hill leading to a hotel that is clearly frequented by some of the wealthiest people in mexico. 24 hour room service twice daily maid service a restaurant that serves cuisine that even surprised me that expands onto the incredible pool area that hangs off a cliff that is without a single doubt the best view of the acapulco bay money can buy. banyan tree doesnt have that it overlooks a different much smaller bay. banyan tree is gentrification at its finest. this indeed is acapulco and mexico at its finest. I enjoyed a real sense of mexico and mexican hospitality here along with luxury. if you are weary of acapulco safety and are willing to spend a bit more because of it, trust me, this is your choice.
