I recently stayed at Encanto Acapulco, a five-star hotel known for its stunning architecture and breathtaking views. The property truly shines with its beautiful design and the mesmerizing pool area, especially at night when the building changes color. The villa I stayed in offered a fantastic private pool and amazing views, making it a luxurious experience.
However, there were some notable drawbacks. Upon arrival, there were electricity issues which appear to be due to the earthquake earlier that day, and the generator wasn’t reliable, causing intermittent power outages until late in the evening. Additionally, the maintenance inside the villa needed attention, with patched walls and some issues with the TV. The mini fridge door was crooked and had to be lifted a little in order for it to close property. The air conditioning also lacked a thermostat, and the bedding was minimal, impacting comfort. I was told to call the main desk to update the temperature if needed. I called around 2:30am several times and no one answered. I opted for opening the door to make the room temperature more agreeable.
In terms of service, while some staff members, like those at the front desk and the maid, were excellent, others, especially in the restaurants, seemed less enthusiastic. The food quality didn’t quite match the hotel’s luxury status, and the terrace in the villa lacked shade, making it uncomfortable during the day.
On a positive note, I must highlight the outstanding service provided by Ivan at the shared pool. He was attentive and really made our stay more enjoyable.
Overall, Encanto Acapulco is a hotel with tremendous potential, offering a blend of luxury and beautiful design, though it could benefit from more consistent maintenance and service.
