Encanto is the perfect place to hang out by the pool or beach! What makes this place stand out isn’t just the beautiful setting or the food—it’s the incredible service and energy of the entire team. Everyone who works here is fully committed and it shows. I usually stop by on the weekends while visiting family and love keeping it simple with their chicken tenders & fries. It might sound basic, but it hits the spot every time—especially poolside. Good vibes, great service, and consistently solid food. Can’t ask for more.

Excellent ambiance as it’s an open air setting just off the beach. It’s located inside the Ritz Reserve. The food here was very tasty. We had some croquettes to start with, then we had the ink squid linguine with shrimp (amazing!)and the snapper which was a little dry. The carrot cake ice cream was spectacular.

Encanto Beach Club Bar & Grill is an absolute treat! The food was thoughtfully prepared and the service was friendly. I had the pleasure of meeting the manager and chef who helped me navigate options. Highly recommend eating here. A massive bonus is the backdrop of the beach as the breeze reminds you that you are in paradise.

The issue is that you cannot go to this restaurant without a Ritz Carlton Membership. So it would be nice if they were clear about that instead of advertising it like it’s accesible to everyone. So 2 stars because at least they answered their phone and informed us we could not eat there.

This is a great restaurant, but there is also much more to do. you can play at the beach, swim in the pool, or host a party at the surf room and surf lawn.

Encanto is the perfect example of a casually elegant beach bar and restaurant. Beautiful sunsets, the sound of surf on the breakwater and delicious open air dinning. The service is excellent, like just about everything at Dorado Beach, and the food is top notch. We ate there twice during our stay this past week and our server "Shari" assisted by Marcos made the dinner a delight. It's tough not to consider the atmosphere at Encanto when you are judging the overall experience. Simply watching the sunset with a drink in your hand and a trade breeze lightly blowing your hair is a pretty intoxicating appetizer in its own right. That being said I'd rate the service an A, the food an A and the Oceanside experience an A as well. When you're at Dorado Beach, make a reservation at Encanto... you won't be disappointed.

An absolute must if you are visiting PR and can afford to go. The beach itself is one of the most beautiful on the island. The pool area and cabanas are top notch. Swimming at the beach is safe because there is are a long line of tide break bolders in place. This resort screams I AM ON VACATION. Try it!

Probably the weak link on the Ritz property. It's not bad, but not nearly as good as the other dining options. Overall, not as efficient as the other properties. While our waitress was quite nice, she didn't have the background on us as they do on other restaurants, for lack of a better word she had no idea who we were or even if we were staying at the resort. The restaurant was also largely empty, which hurt the ambience. I did greatly enjoy the burrata and pumpkin starter, the flavors worked very well and the burrata was excellent. The lobster was meh, while the flavor was nice and the hollandaise was good, it was not much meat for a 2 lb lobster, no claw meat. Again, not bad but nothing exciting. Overall, it left us a little disappointed and we won't be back.

I will give this Resturant 5 STARS from the food, the service and the Ambiance every thing was on point. If you are in puerto Rice and you can visit Dorado area it is a must. Everything on the menu is delicious. I highly recommend this restauran.

If you are staying at the Ritz Reserve, try Encanto for dinner. This was our favorite relaxed restaurant while staying at the Ritz Reserve, with Flor de Sal our favorite "fancy" one. Encanto looks out on the ocean, centered around an impressive wide bar, with a view into a busy, open kitchen as well. The bar counter is double wide with personable bartenders, so we just pulled up there without reservations and caught a breeze and water view. Big groups would love the large tables with ocean view. The food was excellent - one night we split the suckling pig (two thumbs up), rice and pink beans (so flavorful) and tostones, and the next night we split the adobo whole snapper, again with the rice and pink beans. We found it hard at the Ritz Reserve dining overall to find non children's items that were crowd pleasers for our tweens (they sat at their own table), but at Encanto they loved the chicken parmeggiana and the churros basket dessert. There was also a salmon option on the kids menu, a tasty, healthful touch. The tropical mahi ceviche was a little too citrusy for me (and I love citrus) - tho refreshing, it was hard for me to distinguish the fish from the grapefruit, but the tuna crudo with roasted lemon aioli, pomegranate and tagarashi tapioca crisps was a hit - fresh, light, well balanced. Everything was super fresh - the plates just kept coming out of the open kitchen. The bartenders were engaging and sweet. There was a soundtrack, but I would have liked slightly more assertive music as the evening progressed. The Ritz Reserve is most definitely not a "steel drum on the beach" kind of place, but I kind of wish it had a little of that beachier/not too serious element to go with the delicious food, drinks and amazing water views at the restaurants. We talked to other guests during our stay, and everyone agreed Encanto was the way to go for a consistently satisfying and easy dinner. * Helpful tip - the hotel can help to make and cancel reservations here through the "room butlers" (Encanto is basically on site) or you can make your own reservations directly with the restaurant, but I believe it is privately operated not through Ritz, so pay attention to deadlines for canceling reservations. We were there in the less busy season, so we did walk in most times- but this applies to the busier season or if you want specific seating.

I would rate 3.5 because of the location but rounding down bc of the mediocre over priced food and the service. The good: - the location is right on the beach The bad: - three words that sum it up: overpriced mediocre food. Sure it's edible if you're hungry but COA also at the ritz is a way superior option. - service was meh. They got 3 things messed up for us: (1) the wrong cut of meat was served but they made up for it with free churros. (2) I asked for a Virgin pina colada but it came with alcohol I'm pretty sure. (3) we asked for a to go box but they just threw our food away The naan and hummus app was so bad. The bread tasted like it was a day old from a basic grocery store. Edible? Yes but the bread was not delicious nor was the dips. The salmon crudo was meh. The lemon chicken was actually decent but still overpriced. The avocado and tomato salad was literally what it sounds like: one chunk of sliced avocado and one chunk of sliced tomato. Def would not go back. Would rather go to COA.

Usually when I come to Dorado Beach we come to the pool and beach by this restaurant. They offer poolside and beachside service as well as dine in service. The waiters are nice and professional. The food is very good too. I've had the Grouper Sandwich, Baja Style Fish Tacos, and Wagyu Burger. They also have good cocktails and craft beer.

This restaurant is located on the beach at the Ritz Carlton property. Amazing location right on the beach. Has a Mediterranean flare to it. All the food was absolutely amazing. We got the shrimp and calamari appetizer which was great. The kids got salmon and Mac and cheese. Both super moist and tasted amazing. Our three year olds wiped their plates clean. Our mojitos were prepared perfectly with a lot of fresh mint. I got the beef entree. The meat was super moist. My wife got the margarita pizza which was excellent. We actually ate left overs later at night and it still tasted great. Finally the best part of the experience was our waitress Soleil. She was super polite and accommodated all our requests. One of our twin boys was having a tantrum. She got him various toys and even offered to take him inside to meet the chef. You could tell she took great pride in her job. Only small negative is that it is a little pricey although the resort currently has a special where kids under 5 eat for free. Highly recommend eating at this restaurant.

We were taken here for dinner by family on a recent visit to PR. The setting, as others have commented, is beautiful if you are able to get a table closer to the water. The menu is limited but not absurdly small; don't come here if you're vegetarian because you'll have your choice of only one entrée. The presentation of the food is very nice; the portions may look a little on the small side but it actually makes for a satisfying meal that doesn't leave you feeling sluggish at the end. I had the mahi mahi with lentils and caramelized carrots; the fish had a nice clean flavor but I think it's hard to mess up mahi mahi. The accompanying vegetables offered a very good contrast though. Another at the table had the churrasco which was very good; the mamposteo was less well-received. The branzino was quite good too but I can't really comment too much on that dish because I really don't like anything with olives and it's served with an olive tapenade. Service was friendly and reasonably efficient. We benefited from the fact that our hosts are regulars at this restaurant and knew several of the waitstaff by name; this of course gets you better responsiveness. In summary, this is a very nice place for casual dining. Make sure you have a good view of the sea to make it a more memorable experience.

View was gorgeous. 4 small overcooked scallops on single pieces of spinach on a teaspoonful of nondescript starch. a tiny piece of overcooked whitefish. dry as a bone cauliflower with no topping whatsoever. utterly terrible wine. $250. service did not understand a word of our special request at this particular ritz resort restaurant. my BF smashed his toe on the poorly laid out table and was bleeding all over, I practically had to stand on my hands to get a bandaid from our clueless service. they really "bled" us dry. we were hungry and cranky at a gorgeous spot after dinner there. bummer!

Been going there a long time. Its excellent Great people Great staff Vegas day club atmosphere with a family friendly twist. Very unique

Me encanta this place.. beautiful restaurant right I front of the beach. Service was great and food good. My only complaint is the price: NO ME ENCANTA! I'm not cheap by no means and staying at a top notch resort like this I expect to pay top $$. But to charge $16 for a small piece of grilled chicken is freaking crazy!!!!!!! Don't get me wrong the salad was good but for $30+ for a simple salad and chicken is UBSURD. I mean how can a simple salad cost more then an entree??????

LOVEEE come here all the time. Love the outside and the food is sososo good. Really friendly people. Been here sooo many times! Definitely should stop by so many options of food also lunch is good as well.

Ther is a new chef in town. There was the before and there is the present. The service has Alex been excellent but the food was regular. Now it is outstanding comparable to any of the best in Puerto Rico

We stayed for 6 nights at the Ritz Carlton Dorado Beach Resort and we were gladly able to stay on the property for all of our meals with some very nice choices. One of the restaurants on the property is Encanto. Of all the restaurants it is the least "exotic". It was very good but the place if you want a salad, maybe some pasta dish, but also Caribbean flavors and dishes as well. It is open air basically right on the beach with the ocean in sight! My husband and I chose the arugula salad, and two appetizers including a special - lobster salad - and lots of vegetable sides including roasted cauliflower, roasted mushrooms and yummy tostones! Very nice service as well.

Amazing! We came here for my sister's 24th birthday. We all ordered different cocktails which were fabulous. The entrees were somehow even better. The service was attentive and kind. Having such a delicious dinner while being able to watch the sunset was something we will never forget. Definitely a highlight of our trip to Puerto Rico.

Staying at the resort and tonight had a traditional Puerto Rican holiday meal! Many courses brought out and described by our phenomenal server, Rafael. It doesn't get any better than this. Chef Joel pulled out all the stops tonight. We will definitely be back.

We were staying nearby at the Hyatt and decided to visit the Ritz-Carlton for dinner. The service was very friendly and attentive, and the setting was quite pretty. There was a cat walking around and a massive toad sitting near our table, which was good entertainment for us animal lovers, but maybe not such a good thing for others. We started with the bruschetta, which may have been the best bruschetta I've ever had - and as a vegetarian, I love bruschetta. For dinner, my girlfriend had the salmon, which she loved. The fish was cooked very nicely and the smoked guava demi sauce was really neat. However, after ordering a $9 side of "herb roasted potatoes," she was brought a small serving of french fries. These weren't even the "gourmet" type of fries that you'd get at a gastropub; these were your basic fries that you'd get with a club sandwich at a cheap diner, and there were certainly no "herbs" on them. When we asked the server if these were indeed the "herb roasted potatoes" she seemed confused, but quickly brought a different side, so that was nice. I had the vegetarian pasta. It was tasty and well-cooked, but not the special plate of pasta that I'd expect for $30. So, we really enjoyed the food and the setting, and the service was great. The french fries and a few other little things got in the way of this being 5-stars (the "black garlic" in the bruschetta was just regular garlic - not a big deal, but it's the type of shortcut that shouldn't be taken when you're paying $125 for two at the Ritz-Carlton). Overall, however, it was very good.

I'm honestly disappointed in the food and menu choices since their re-opening. This used to be my favorite weekend spot because the food and service were good and it was easy with the kids. Now I prefer the Watermill, which has done a great job updating their menu, adding food choices to their top items they had already. The only menu items Encanto kept were from the kids menu, so all of my favorites; gone. They went with "Mediterranean" but this is not Mediterranean to me. The only item I like on their menu needs to be modified. They have a chicken sandwich, which is really good, but it is served on "black bread". This means it has activated charcoal or coconut shell or both in it, I'm not really clear. At any rate, it feels like you're taking a bite of sand. I think this lacks foresight on their part as the restaurant is on the beach, and the last thing I want is to feel like I'm eating it. So I suggest if you order this, order with a brioche bun, make it a wrap, or in a lettuce wrap. All 3 are excellent. Other than that, not impressed. I love all the servers and bartenders though, they have excellent service. The prices are a bit high, but it is a beach/poolside restaurant.

Wonderful service, food and ambiance. Right on the beach. Mahi mahi was delicious. Only issue was finding it in the dark. If you've never been on the property during the day it may be best to get a golf cart escort. The property is massive!

We had a great experience at Encanto during our recent visit to Puerto Rico. To be honest, the previous Yelp reviews almost turned us off dining there. I'm glad we ignored them. Let's start with the staff, they were friendly, attentive and more than helpful. We were really craving a burger, but it was on the lunch menu and not available for dinner. Not to worry, our hostess and server spoke to the chef and he agreed to cook one up just for us. The burger itself was great - one of the better burgers I've had at a restaurant in years (seriously). The Pina Colada with an extra shot of rum also great. And the view of the beach was phenomenal. As other reviewers have noted, yes, the prices are on the higher side. But, remember, this is the Ritz Carlton Reserve in Puerto Rico, one of the best resorts in the Caribbean. What do you expect people??

Got Food poisoning here! The food here seems to be inconsistent. Waitstaff is courteous but not always knowledgable. We ordered dinner, and staff returned to say they were out of some items. Some food was served cold which we had to send back. One person got food poisoning from a hot dog! I called to report it to the restaurant, they were apologetic but that was it. Very disappointing for a RitzCarlton Reserve restaurant.

We visited on two dinner occasions this trip. EnCanto service and food were very good but prices were higher than expected in Puerto Rico. Our waiter Elliot could not have been nicer nor more welcoming during both visits. He was very careful to accommodate our gluten free, due to Celiac, requests and he offered helpful advice about the area overall. Thank you for a lovely Thanksgiving meal!

Pricey for their portions. We ordered the churrasco tacos, the chicken wrap, and chips guacamole and salsa. Their seafood pizza is probably the best item there for lunch. On the dinner menu I really enjoyed the gingers scallops, house salad and the New York Strip and risotto. We ordered a wide variety of small plates as well. The staff was very friendly and provided great service. They knew us and we knew them by their first names. A good place to come and have a couple drinks by the pool and have drinks and food by the beach!! There Mojito, mai Thai, and sangria barely had any alcohol in it. I feel like I had so many of them and never got drunk or even buzzed.

This is my FAVORITE place in Dorado. The view is absolutely gorgeous, the service is fantastic, and the food so delicious! The chef really tries to make you happy, even with our special request for a specific mofongo. (The scallops are amazing, my favorite!) I've been here 6 times already (yes!) and I am never disappointed!

Meh. For the astronomical prices, the menu is limited and the food is unimpressive. Reduce any of the entrees by $25 and I'd probably be raving about this place. Gorgeous, open-air setting right on the beach.

I ate here twice while at the resort. The first time the meal was good. I started with the grilled shrimp and we had a Fried red snapper, a mani mani and churasco. All was good. The fish was excellent. On our second visit the appetizers (pork belly and pasta) were very good. The main dishes left something to be desired. The halibut was fishy and dry. For a $38.00 entree the fish should be excellent. The seafood pasta was tasty but it was not what indicated on the menu. We told the waiter this and he indicated that their vendor of fresh pasta had gone bankrupt and this was the best that they could get. Again for an entree of $38.00 it does not call for excuses. Overall our second experience was less than spectacular for a very pricey meal.

We didn't come to Puerto Rico to stare longingly at the beach from the dining room of Encanto, let's speed things up and let us get our toes in the sand!View and ambiance are incredible. I would only recommend grabbing a drink here, don't bother with the food. Came for lunch and started with cocktails. Our first three choices for appetizer were unavailable (there are only four choices in the menu) so we skipped and went to mains. Over an hour and a half later (and zero refills on our water) our lunches finally came out. Our food was stone cold and the fish was dry and overcooked. There were exactly two other couples in the dining room and only four groups of people on the beach (waitstaff here services the beach too) so I don't think it was an issue of being too busy. The view was incredible, but you get the same thing from anywhere in highway 165. Everything about our experience here was a huge disappointment.Parking was free. They do have high chairs for little ones but they are shorter than the tables by about six inches so we ended up just holding our daughter on our laps.

You can come for the view. Service: sweet but clueless considering hype about the "Ritz" experience. Food: some better, some worse than other medza medza eateries in Dorado. Portions: dainty Management & Manners: Stupifyingly awful. "Manager" Omar sorely needs remedial classes in customer relations. As a party of 5, we ordered drinks, appys, and entrees, (read that as big bill). Throughout, a preverbal 15 month old shouted for the full 2 hours we were there; the child was not crying or screaming, but shouting her objection to being held captive in her chair. Finally we asked for the manager. Upon explanation, he told us that this was a "family" restaurant and he certainly could not stipulate how his clientele might behave. He made us feel like we were the ones misbehaving. No apology, no round of after dinner drinks, no complimentary dessert (not even ONE to share at the table) and certainly nothing off the bill! The Ritz, REALLY?
