My wife booked three nights (weekdays) in this hotel to spend a few days while visiting the area, and we were delighted from minute one. We don’t play golf, which is the main attraction of this place, but we found a pretty good deal and we went for it, and we were really surprised that we could find this place at such a reasonable price.||||Located on a quiet spot, just 15 minutes ride north east from Alcala de Henares (absolutely beautiful town to visit, by the way), it is essentially a golf course with a small luxury hotel in it, so be aware that you’ll need a car! Plenty of parking space, although I can see this a bit more crowded during the weekend or during golf competitions.||||There is a big shopping center 2 minutes away, with shops of all kind, supermarkets, restaurants, bars and movie theaters. All very convenient.||||Inside the hotel you’ll find a bar/restaurant. We didn’t eat anything there, but the coffee was good and you can order it to go, so you can enjoy it in your own balcony. Prices were in the steep side for Spain, but not too much. If you want to stay in and have dinner, you probably won’t break the bank. They also offer room service, although only during limited hours.||||There’s also a gym in the basement, which we didn’t use, and a pool with a pool bar in the first floor, where all the rooms are located. The pool was rather small, but considering that this hotel has only a few rooms, it’s about the right size. In fact, there was nobody but the two of us when we used it. In the down side, we found that the pool had very short working hours (from noon to 6:00pm if I remember correctly), which was kinda annoying because right before dusk, when the sun is not that aggressive, is the best time to enjoy a swim. It was very hot at the time we were there, and we couldn’t enjoy it more days because at the time we came back from visiting the nearby towns, it was already closed. But no big deal.||||What was a real inconvenient, and my main complaint in general, was that, although we went to use the pool at around 12:30pm, when we arrived there were still arranging the sun beds, cleaning the pool, hosing the floor… a real nuisance when you want to chill in the pool. If the working hours are so restrictive, it would make sense that, at least, everything is ready by the opening time. Otherwise you’ll have to be waiting 30+ more minutes in order to use the facility. Not to mention having a lady shooting high pressure water to the floor 2 meters away from your face.||||Now, the room was incredible! Huge, simple and elegant decor, massive LCD screen, air-con, well equipped all around, including bathrobes, slippers, toiletries, walk-in shower and hot-tub… everything you need. There was a small mini-bar with beverages (priced as you would expect in this kind of things), but with space to squeeze a couple of bottles of your own beer, or maybe a bottle of wine. The bed was also huge and clean. It was in the hard side, but it was comfortable nonetheless. I honestly can’t emphasize enough how good the room was.||||Finally, I’d like to point out that the front desk agents were really helpful and welcoming. Truly excellent service and one of the highlights in this trip.
