Sweetest bartender. The mushroom taco is good but the barbacoa is unreal. The salsa roja has perfect heat and the margaritas tasty. Taco Tuesday is alive in Chinatown Honolulu!

Husband and I really enjoyed our lunch here! We each had a baja fish taco that we both devoured. We also shared a portion of nachos with carne asada as well as a bowl of the street corn and those two were similarly tasty. We split a Chris Kattan cocktail between us both and it was both pretty and delicious. Service was especially kind and thoughtful. Highly recommend and would come back in the future!

Pretty good food and a decent house margarita. The Tree Hunger plate was good. Edit: recently changed their menu. Compare for yourself in the pictures.

Google
The best place I've found for tacos on the leeward side. Good pricing and on Tuesday they have a couple of specials. Frequently featuring live music. Great place to go for lunch or late night.

Google
Had a great time sampling their large selection of Mezcals. Everyone in our group agreed that all the "Rey Campero" Mezcals we're excellent, with the "Tepextate" being our favorite. The tacos were pretty good for the price, with the carnitas being the clear winner. Didn't have the nachos, but they looked super tasty. Will definitely try next time. Very friendly, knowledgeable and patient staff, that took time to answer all our ridiculous questions and help us decipher the somewhat confusing Mezcal menu. The shots were pricey, but we had a great time and walked away feeling like we got our money's worth. I mean, where else on Oahu can you drink from a selection of Mezcal this vast, with good food and service? Highly recommend.

Great burritos, tacos, and nachos. Service was good and plenty of seating. Typical China Town parking...Beer selection was small,, but ok.. A must try.

We stumbled upon this place while we were restaurant/bar hopping. And for a couple of mezcal lovers, this was a dream to find! We started with cocktails- a beautifully balanced drink with tequila, mezcal, Aperol, avocado pit orgeat (so creative!!), and likely some citrus. I forget the name. For food we tried a Pork Carnitas Taco, a Carne Asado Taco, Chips & Guac & Salsa, and Street Corn. All the food was amazing- well seasoned and great flavor combination. The chips definitely taste like they make them in house. After that, we loaded up on some mezcals to try. They had a pretty solid selection- some that you can find more commonly (such as Bozal, Alipus, and the Del Maguey lineup) and some that I hadn’t heard of yet that were super tasty! They served their mezcals traditionally with orange slices and Sal de Gusano (worm salt!). I do wish their mezcals were served in those clay Copitas to really hone in on the tradition even more! Service was great. The bartender helped us out a bunch and answered our millions of questions. I know when visiting Hawaii, your go to is probably tiki drinks, but branch out and go check out this mezcaleria. You won’t be disappointed!

Brisket was awesome. Draft beers were nice. Great service and thoughtful recommendations by the employees. Definitely would recommend outside seating.

Yelp
Before my most recent visit I would consider encore 5 stars, top 3 restaurants on island One of the things that makes this place so special is the hand made flour tortillas, but since my last visit the menu has changed. Tacos were originally served as a plate of unassembled ingredients with 3 large flour tortillas. These tortillas were PHAT warm fluffy and was able to hold its contents without falling apart. Our must recent visit was drastically different, tacos now come prepared individual on a smaller portioned tortilla. The the new tortilla is small and thin, therefore immediately soggy upon reaching the table. The older tortilla was much larger and thicker and fluffy allowing for a better taco experience. I miss the old taco, please bring it back even at a higher price I will pay it BTW staff, service, and drinks are always top notch

Yelp
Located in downtown, this bar has great ambience, drinks, food, and service! We ordered the Paloma Margarita Pitcher which had a great flavor and strong taste. We also ordered the nachos with shredded chicken and it was delicious. The servers were very attentive and fast with bring out the foods and drinks. Will definitely be coming back here again.

Violet B.

Yelp
Delicious taco lunch special. Can choose two tacos and it came with a wonderful salad.

Nanea L.

Yelp
Best tacos on the island!!! Definitely recommend. Parking is always meh in Chinatown but if you can find it, it's great or just Lyft and Uber in. You can rent the back portion out for larger gatherings. Highly recommend!

Yelp
First time here and we decided to try their Taco Tuesday offering. Glad we stopped in! Andrew was greeter and very nice with a good tip on the shrimp taco special. Decor is old saloon but with a hipster vibe. There is a courtyard out back which is what drew us in, we prefer to dine in open air, but was told it was for larger parties. Not sure if it was for the holidays or regular policy. We ordered margaritas and started off with the special shrimp and a barbacoa beef brisket taco. Served on a thicker tortilla it held up folding and eating, which I was happy about. You know when you try to fold and lift up a small taco and it falls apart? Hate that, but these were tasty and sturdy. We liked the start so we ordered 2 more, the sweet tea chicken and the Yucatan pork which were also delicious. The margaritas were a bit in the sour side and light on the salt on the brim so we ordered a Tecate for$2.50 each and ordered the mushroom carnitas and another shrimp special. The mushroom carnitas was our least favorite, and thankful it was the last in the menu because we're full by them as well. For me mushrooms need to be either firm and raw and fresh, or cooked thoroughly so they absorb all the seasonings and drop their liquid. These were in between so as it cooled it released all the liquid into a mess on the plate. Nice mix of people for people watching from young office workers, to cruise ship tourists to local bearded hipsters.

Yelp
Decided to try Taco Tuesday and it did not disappoint. My only regret is that I couldn't get a margarita since it was a work day. We arrived there a little before opening but staff let us in and allowed us to choose our seats. We ordered shortly after sitting and the food came pretty quick. Chips and gucamole was perfectly salty and tangy which would've paired perfectly with a margarita or cerveza... I really need to try this place for happy hour. LOL! The hand made tortillas for the tacos are hefty enough to carry the weight of the generous portions of ingredients. And each taco had its own unique flavour profile. My lunch partner was knocked out by the jalapeño in their Barbacoa Brisket and liked it! I was pleasantly surprised by the Mushroom "Carnitas" and throughly enjoyed the crunchy kale flakes. Gotta come back to try the other Tacos and I'm also eyeing up that Burnt Ends bowl...

Carena P.

Yelp
If I could give this place 10 stars I would! Hands-down, the best brisket tacos we've ever had; To die for! Handmade corn tortillas and fresh toppings, amazing tequila and bar selection, excellent service, chill atmosphere. Highly recommend sharing the Burnt Ends Rice Bowl & Barbacoa Smoked Brisket Tray. Ask for plenty corn tortillas, they make for great DIY tacos!

Michael L.

Yelp
Great place to grab a beer and tacos! The chips and salsa were outstanding and the ambiance is amazing. Definitely something to try!

Nicole P.

Yelp
This place felt soooooo comfortable. The tacos were ALL out of this world! Barbacoa, carnitas & Baja fish tacos were our favorite. I loved the design & the style of the place. A hidden gem of Honolulu!

Marissa K.

Yelp
This is the spot for yummy tacos and drinks! I went here last Fri and shared with my friend an order of chips and guacamole, nachos with potatoes, and their brisket tacos. They don't have street tacos anymore because now you need to order meats by the lb and it comes with 3 soft tortillas. If you want more tortillas then you need to order more on the side. It also comes with pickled onions and green hot sauce. This spot has an indoor and an outdoor area. Fun spot for a night out with friends!

S. M.

Yelp
Great place! Been here only a couple times but the service has always been great. They gave great recommendations. Great drinks and food. The brisket taco was ! Encore shares the inside courtyard area with The Daley (burgers). It's also a great location near the bars on hotel street.

Hope S.

Yelp
Went on a Friday night around 6 or 7 pm. Easily able to be seated immediately on the patio. They have individual tacos for sale around $6-7. Ordered the fish and carnitas which both were okay in size but the meat was little dry and the fish was dry as well. Chips and salsa/guacamole were nice sides to share. Workers nice and friendly but not my choice if I am craving tacos due to not being impressed by the food flavor/taste. Cute place though and good for groups.

Brian M.

Yelp
Love this local restaurant and bar. Great food and they even had Taco Tuesday where some of the proceeds went to Maui Fire Victims Relief. Enjoyed all the tacos and drinks. Great staff and the bartenders are friendly and carry on great conversations. Service was spot on and attentive. Highly recommended.

Yelp
Nice Mexican and Texas style food located in a revitalized Chinatown in downtown honolulu. We were a part of a large group of 20 ppl and took two of their three large tables on their back open air courtyard. Service was pretty good considering the size of our group and a third party at the other table in the courtyard made for a semi chaotic environment for Michelle our server to address. She did well all considering. Drinks were mostly Mexican(ish) themed and were actually pretty good, not watered down, and flavorful. Thumbs up there. Glass of Pacifico beer was $4 but that's the only Mexican beer they had on tap. The food however was just ok. Guacamole was good, salsa was more garlic than I prefer, and the chips seemed house made. Our host had ordered these for the tables and some quesadillas to share which were also good. But the entree my wife and I ordered, smoked beef brisket tacos, we're not real good but they were expensive. Flavor was just ok and lots of fat which means not cooked well and fat rendered down. It supposedly 1/2 lbs but 1/3 of it was fat we cut off. It also came with a avocado sauce something, some kind of crumbled cheese and red pickled onions. Think it was close to $25+ and definitely not worth it. Summary, we're probably not coming back here again. Not worth the price even if service was good and supporting local businesses in Chinatown.

Amanda O.

Yelp
I love this place! Conveniently located on what I consider one of the best bar/restaurant strips in Chinatown. The service is super swift, both food and drinks. The recent ordering style has changed, where you used to open your tab and order at the front counter when you walk in, now there is the option of table service, or ordering and paying via a QR code. It was a bit odd, but we got the hang of it. This visit, we got the nachos, and a burrito bowl (I can't do burritos, as I cannot eat one in one sitting and then the tortilla gets soggy), and we definitely boxed some up. We added the house hot sauce and guacamole to both, and it was totally worth it. My bowl came with the carne asada, and hubby's nachos came with the pork. The combination of all the ingredients was magical. The tortillas definitely seemed home made. There's a huge difference, don't you agree? We went during their happy hour, which I believe happens to be all day on Saturdays! So it meant some cheap, but tasty beer and cocktails. We ordered the paloma, margarita and a pitcher of Pacifico. Perfect for the food fare. Our waters were topped up frequently, and though we ordered with the QR code link, they checked on us often.

Paige S.

Yelp
Came here for dinner prior to an event. Service was super fast. Food came out really quick. Everyone in the party enjoyed their food. Someone got the nachos which are good for sharing. Burritos are large. Tacos are small but good. Always love their chips and salsa and rice. Always enjoy coming here when I'm in the area. Love their outdoor seating area.

Veronica S.

Yelp
Came in around lunch time and it was perfect! Not crowded at all, pretty much had the place to ourselves. Our waiter, I completely forgot his name. Maybe starts with a C... was extremely friendly, chatted with us and had great conversations. I ordered the tacos and guacamole and it was delicious! I definitely plan to come back, especially during lunch as it was peaceful and nice. It started to get busy around 1-2 ish

Dub C.

Yelp
Took a break from here when they went to make your own tacos and order meat by the lb. They finally got rid of that months ago ! Back to their 5-6 standard tacos which is always on point. Good tequila and mezcal selection at decent prices. Grab 3-4 different tacos and sip on some mezcal or tequila ...good to go. Check them out on taco Tuesdays!

Margaret S.

Yelp
The trifecta of restaurants!! We had street corn & Smoked Brisket Barbacoa. No pics bc it was so good & we were hungry! Yummy margaritas. Also had Makers & water & Encore Margarita not pictured. Trifecta bc it's attached to a burger & pizza place by a nice shaded patio!

Cencera M.

Yelp
Probably one of the best taco Tuesdays I've had in Hawaii. They said they redid the menu, and it is sooooooo good. We also ordered the mushroom "carnitas" (not pictured), it was a little dry. So I would ask for some of their green sauce to pour on top and then it will be dynamite This is a great pau Hana place or just any day of the week really. Full bar and can't forget those margaritas. The best thing to do is mix the two, Pineapple and Chamango, sooooo sooooo delish. Also, it's very tequila forward . 10/10 would go again. I would definitely get there early if you're planning to go to dinner and/or pau Hana as parking is limited (street parking). They do have extra tables outside in the back, so that is a plus! Great place overall as the food and drinks speak for itself.

Sydni K.

Yelp
I came here for a work happy hour. All the food was delicious! The churros were the best I've had and came with a chocolate sauce. The tacos were also addicting. I really liked the tres leches, a super moist cake.

Todd U.

Yelp
So a great place for tacos and drinks! We had the Baja fish tacos and the red cabbage was a little too much, but the star of the show was delicious! The Chamango-rita is a nice slushy drink with great flavors, coconut being one of them. I would come back here for a few and some tacos! Just drop in and ask for Jordan, he has some great recommendations!

Akemi O.

Yelp
Haven't been since it was a Mezcal bar. Actually don't even know if that's what it was, but that's what we had...they didn't have much on the menu then, so don't know if ownership changed of what. But they have outdoor dining and in the Age of Covid, I like the open air concept. It's covered so don't have to worry about the sun during lunch hours. I spoke with the owner and because he owns Mamo and Daley, until they reopen their indoor dining, if you let them know, you're able to eat your pizza and burgers outside Encore. That would be nice to be able to do it all the time, but I guess it may not work too well for tabs and stuff. I ordered the fish bowl without the rice and beans and with extra salad. Greens were very nice. But VERY heavy on the citrus and after eating about a 3rd, but teeth started to hurt. The fish was tasty and cooked well but quite tiny. Maybe I just wanted more to offset the citrus. Coworker got the carnitas bowl and said was good. Hubs got the carne burrito. I thought it didn't look that big (maybe just compared to most other places downtown), but it filled him up. Chips looked heavy but were suprisingly not as heavy as they looked. Once piece was loaded with salt...that was the winner piece.

Tiago C.

Yelp
Visiting Hawaii from California was looking for a place to eat after hiking the manana trail and found this place. So glad I did Great atmosphere great music and the food was just perfect.

Staci J.

Yelp
Stopped by to grab a bite to eat while on that side of town attending a flea market. Ordering wasn't the easiest because one person in our party had to provide their card to start a tab. We couldn't order and pay for our food individually. The pitcher of Margarita was too strong for my taste. The Baja fish tacos lacked taste or seasoning. The seasoning was in the toppings but the fish itself was bland. Another person in my party ordered the nachos and she was happy with her dish. It's a nice place to meet friends but it seems the menu is hit or miss.

Nato S.

Yelp
Encore what happened? Used to come here on the regs for burritos, tacos and yummy plant based "Mexican" or closest thing we can find on island. Now it's a weird mash up of Texas style plates that come with tortillas that are made with butter.. who does that? VEGANS BEWARE! The salad is overpriced and literally the same thing that comes with the "meat by the pound" .. the green salsa is lackluster and missing flavor. The mushroom carnitas are extremely oily and honestly just meh. Black beans are nothing special at all. Everything needed to be drowned in Tapatio (at least they still have that on the tables) which says a lot about the flavors. Ordered the bowl and subbed beans and mushrooms for the meat and fried egg and the veggies are alright but this is more like some type of fusion food, no longer has Mexican spices or flavor. Not worth the price point, very unlikely I'll return. Another sad day for us 808vegans.

Ashley D.

Yelp
Sadly, Encore has changed their menu, so I'm writing this review to give others a heads up (especially for the non-meat eaters). Encore no longer offers tacos, burritos or bowls. Instead, the main options of the menu are ordered by the half pound. The Tree Hugger Bowl was my go-to order for lunch with my coworkers. The only veggie option (aside from a salad) now being offered is a half pound of mushrooms mixed with kale served with tortillas, pickled onion, cojita cheese and a creamy verde sauce. They were kind of cooked to a point where it was almost crispy/ burnt, assuming to mock how brisket is cooked? It was ok. The tortillas were the highlight as it seems they make them in house. It left much to be desired for a dish that's $18. I'd probably return but to only enjoy a margarita and chips/queso

Francesca P.

Yelp
Our new favorite place for Taco Tuesday here! Loved the outside seating. Our service was great! Mahi was my favorite and the brisket was my husbands favorite.

Ryan H.

Yelp
Excellent service, drinks are great and the food was delicious. Very nice and clean to dine, drink and socialize in!

Barbara M.

Yelp
The street corn appetizer was a crowd favorite and is served in a large bowl portion, not a cob. The main entrees to order are tacos, burritos, or a bowl. You choose 1 protein to add to the entree. The interior decor is trendy. The Encore Saloon, like most places, is currently understaffed, but the employees are friendly and doing their best. In Feb 2022, vaccine proof and masks were required to enter.

Mari S.

Yelp
Busy little joint on a Friday night. Drinks were good but some tried to hard. They were too Smokey or had a list of ingredients that left it kind of vague what it would taste like. Food was good. Not amazing but good. One in our party complained every thing was a bit hot. I don't think it was and I'm pretty sensitive to spice. They also have a clunky pos that if you have more than one party at a table makes orders take a bit. Service was great!

Wanda E.

Yelp
So they only have one of the mezcal flight ( big ass sad face) but I still love love love this place!! Please bring back the flights!!! The only place that I know of that has an extensive mez selection. The tacos especially the fish tacos are today was my last day before I start my diet and I chose Encore so that should tell you something

Gwen R.

Yelp
Fish tacos were so Ono. Burnt Ends more like sliced brisket. Brisket needed trimming but was delicious with rice and salad. Egg was medium over easy and a runny yolk would have been a nice addition to this dish. Ambiance and service was inviting and friendly! Thank you Spencer for friendly and efficient service.

Haha H.

Yelp
Love this place. Great atmosphere, great food, and at a reasonable price. My friends and I got a couple of the bowl, tacos, street corn, and the chips w/ salsa all the foods were great but my favorite was the barbacoa street tacos. They're definitely a must try. We also had desserts, tres leches and churro. Churro was just the standard churro but the tres leches were amazing. Must try!! Overall a great experience, and our server spencer was great.

Ross S.

Yelp
Encore is a fun place to grab a drink, and more importantly taco Tuesday! Definitely one of the trendier spots in Chinatown, I recommend stopping by. We usually get a tray of tacos, I think they are a couple bucks each. All together with 3 drinks and a tray of tacos was something around 80 bucks.

Audrey A.

Yelp
Food was authentic and delicious, drinks were great but on the pricey side! Service was great! Friendly staff and accommodating!

Shauna N.

Yelp
The tacos are very good. I also enjoyed the corn! It was my favorite. We went for taco Tuesday and the price makes it easy to try a lot of types of tacos. The restaurant is adorable and makes for a good group taco Tuesday evening.

May L.

Yelp
Encore used to be my favorite - one or two of every kind of street tacos, pitchers of their frozen dole whip with rum float. Recent visits we found out that they no longer serve their amazing tacos. The new menu left A LOT to desire and the service... was just not the same. Even the price has increased quite a bit. I guess it's time to find another spot for street tacos.

Katherine L.

Yelp
I want to give it more a 3.5 star, but decided to be generous by rounding up. The Restaurant Week menu $26 for 2 people was a pretty good deal as follows: 1) nachos and flight of salsa - the chips are fresh, thick and crispy without being hard, and the different salsas were all yummy in their own distinctive way 2) shared salad (there was also a rice and bean option) - generous portion and pleasant, with a nice Mexican-spiced house dressing 3) flight of tacos - the Korean chicken was our favorite, the fish was pretty good, and the pork was way too oily and the flavor did not wow me (and pork is generally my favorite protein for Mexican food) 4) coconut cream flan - DELISH, smooth and creamy, and I loved the touch of pineapple with it. The cocktails were on point - the Chris's Kattan (nice hint of spice, sweet and sour), and tamarindo (love the tamarind crusted rum, and the sweet and tart). The Horchata- OK, but kind of bland and needed more cinnamon and rice flavor Service was friendly though a bit slow, considering that there was only 2 other groups there. I definitely want to come back to check out Taco Tuesday and explore their cocktails. Also, Happy hour is 2-5:30pm Mon-Sat.

leimomi k.

Yelp
Here for the Spring concert at Hawaii theater and stopped by for happy hour. In luck that it's Taco Tuesday! $2 a street taco. $3 regular. Ordered the veggie special and the tree hugger taco. So delish!!! The house made chips are crunchy and a bit thicker than "restaurant style" chips. The smoky chipotle salsa with the chips ($3) is a bit spicy but so different and good. Specialty slushies: guava -coco margarita is like a pog but light and refreshing. -- FRENCH 75 ; a take on champagne and gin French 75. Perfect with the tacos. I would definitely return. Happy hour is done at 5:30 pm.

Hannah F.

Yelp
The guacamole here is killer!! Marcos served us at the bar and was super friendly and attentive. We are glad we found this hidden gem. Will definitely be back!

Tim D.

Yelp
Attended two private parties here. Outstanding service and tacos were excellent. Overall ambiance is great as well. Highly recommended.

James M.

Yelp
My new favorite Taco Tuesday spot in Honolulu and it just happens to be in Chinatown. This is my new go to spot on Tuesday. Outstanding food, great service and fun atmosphere. I went last night and had a great time. I started with a shot of tequila and tecate for only $7 bucks and was ready for tacos. My buddy and I had the chips and guacamole, careful its addictive. You can request a free refill which is a great deal. I also ordered Barbacoa Beef Tacos and the Pork Carnitas and they were both amazing leaving me wanting more. My friend had the fish tacos and had to order a second order. The bar is long with lots of seating and the restaurant has lots of tables and cool outside courtyard that looks like a cool place to sit and hang out. Feel free to bring your dog, seems everyone does. Great service, cool bar, tasty food, good drinks and I will definitely be back.

Sabrina K.

Yelp
I had a great time at encore last night! My boyfriend and I decided to go out for dinner last minute so luckily, they were taking walk-in's and it wasn't too crowded when we got there. We feasted on some nachos and a bunch of tacos: carne asada, chipotle chicken, carnitas, and the tree hugger. The nachos weren't bad but didn't stand out for me. We really wanted the Baja Fish tacos but unfortunately they needed to be thawed because they were frozen. I would say, hands down, that the tree hugger tacos were my favorite to my surprise. They're perfectly seasoned and I couldn't tell I was eating eggplants lol I think my favorite part was the recommendations we received from the waiter on different types of tequila. I was told they had the largest mescal tequila bar on the island! We were introduced to a few new tequilas that we really enjoyed (and had no idea they existed) and we want to thank the staff for expanding our tequila knowledge! Overall, good food and great service! We will definitely be back. *street parking is available but I would be careful parking in some areas.

Wondalyn S.

Yelp
Sorry, thought I posted this my bad! Went Friday night 4/7/23 we were hungry for Mexican food we haven't really had good Mexican food in a long time. We ordered the Fish Tacos we're awesome!Margarita's, had 3 varieties tried the Encorita $9 it was ok, not your average sweet Rita. Tried the Mezcarlrita $11 that was really good except didn't care for the worm salt I'll stick to the regular. Will try the Top shelf next time $13 that one looks like a winner it has more ingredients. I highly recommend this restaurant only thing the wait time to get in it was busy for a Friday night. Next time I'll take photos!

Jack W.

Yelp
=== 1. VERDICT/VALUE 2.5 stars. Not a place to go if you're hungry, it's really more of a place to get a drink. On the plus side, it's another restaurant with contemporary decor and a courtyard dining option revitalizing Chinatown and it has good food; however, it suffers from poor service and small portion-to-price ratio - try anything else in Chinatown first! === 2. FOOD What is interesting is that prices on the menu include tax (but not tip). Nachos ($13.75) with Beef ($3.75) and Guacamole ($3): thank goodness we ordered this, because the main courses are so small. You can see from the photo it's a small pan of nachos with a little bit of beef and guac. At least it made a dent in the hunger - overall, the nachos were good, but it was primarily nachos with beans, with cheese holding it all together. Baja Fish Plate ($11.50): with your choice of mains, the plate version provides you with two small tacos featuring your choice of mains and your choice of rice and beans or salad. The tacos were good, the fish great, and the salad was fantastic. The theme of small-portions-but-good-food is met here again for this dish. As a side note, coworkers who tried the Barbacoa Beef thought it was dry, but the Pork Carnitas and the Tortaguesa (burger) thought they were good - even if small. === 3. SERVICE Another letdown here: not sure if he just didn't like the six of us only having water to drink when we were seated (we all had to go back to work after). It took a very long time to order food and his reason (despite us needing to go get him while he was using his personal phone) was that everyone came into the restaurant at once. It wasn't very busy on this day at lunch, and most of the people left in the restaurant were there already when we entered, so I'm not sure about the slow service. He also didn't offer any food suggestions when asked, nor did he ask if I wanted the beans/rice or salad with my plate. === 4. ATMOSPHERE Nice and contemporary - if only all of Chinatown's establishments could be like this! The courtyard dining option (which we used - a few tables out there picnic table-style) is great. Parking can be a challenge unless you find street parking somewhere one or more streets over, or in one of the municipal lots a few blocks away. The place is wheelchair/stroller friendly once you get to the courtyard (which may be easier through Fete).

Jessica U.

Yelp
My pork nachos were actually good. The food came out in literally 1 minute (questionable). This place gets 2 stars because their frozen drink was horrible and not frozen and I'm pretty sure I had food poisoning (rough night)

Paulo C.

Yelp
Stopped by for a bite and this place is outrageous the food is excellent service is outstanding and chill music and the margaritas where to the point

JJ L.

Yelp
The experience was full of mixed feelings, so; I will try to break it down to be fair... Ambiance: 5 Food Presentation: 5 Taste: 4 Portion: 4 Drinks: 2 Staff: started with a 5 & at the end it crashed. 2 Essentially this is a saloon, but the kitchen gives meaning to the place. If the kitchen was shut down, I fear it would not be a lot to go by. I say this because I was not impressed with the drinks. When I asked for a drink recommendation or even the signature drink, they did not have an idea of what to recommend. My first waiter was awesome and very attentive. Shift change came, and the gentleman that took over was really not into it. Thirty minutes passed by, and the bartender and two waiters were laser-focused on the conversation they were having with what I assume were regulars--meanwhile, no napkins and empty glasses. Drinks: the Old Fashioned was good, but the margaritas were Waterdown. The beer selection is limited and not food-pairing friendly. If I were asked a recommendation, I would suggest collaborating with local breweries rather than having imports. For example; The street tacos would be great with Honolulu Beerworks' El Guapo. Additionally, I don't expect a waiter to be a mixologist but at least to have one or two drinks on the back pocket to recommend. I did not have a bad time, but I cannot say I would miss it or have a desire to go back. I expected a bit more. Please do not hesitate to give it a try and support local. Maybe, my experience was just not the best day. The food is good. Just do not expect a "Bar Leather Apron" or even a Yard House. Lastly, food style I would say is more of a West Coast Mexican style. Overall, the food was great.
