Probably the freshest sushi you can get unless you want to eat the fish alive. Fantastic quality. I love to Miso Soup too. Strong taste and not the commercial type. The place is small and expect long queue. Try not to go during peak hours. Will visit again when in Osaka.

Google
The restaurant is not easy to find. From the train station, take Exit 6 and walk towards the canal, past the market and the small restaurant is just where a big car park is. The sushi is definitely worth the trouble travelling there. Best sushi ever, the rice is soft and the seafood is fresh. Can make 1 exchange of the sushi from the set, but not for the tuna one. However the restaurant accepts only cash payment.

Google
An absolute delight. Make sure to take the proper road to the restaurant, at the north east corner intersection. We followed Google maps and accidentally walked through the shipping/loading area. Felt like we impeded their work flow. Food wise, an amazing experience. Would highly recommend this place. Overall a very good value and price point for what you get.

Google
Not that many things open so early so this is perfect for breakfast 😂😂 I was confused when I was walking to the location as if felt like a business park/somewhere I should not walk. But I am glad I did not turn back around. I went around 10am and was seated straight away. There is an English menu and service is good. I enjoyed the sushi a lot (the fish was so soft and creamy/juicy) as well as the miso soup with clams!

Google
Fresh sushi made upon order. The queue is long due to very limited seat inside. Price is very reasonable for the quality given. All the set is only 1300yen for five pieces of sushi including one toro piece.

Google
We have been looking for the best affordable sushi during our trip and we think we've found it! We were reluctant to try the fish we've never had before but they were better than our expectations. Some pieces were hard to finish, such as the uni, calamari, and yellowtail. I think it might have just been a bad shipment because we absolutely fell in love with the sake (salmon) and toro (fatty tuna). You can order a set of sushi or individual pieces, but be careful because there are no prices listed for individual sushi and it can get pricy fast if you aren't careful. I would recommend for sceptical eaters just to get individual pieces so you don't have to try anything you aren't willing to (there's a ¥2,000 fee for unfinished food). All in all the place was worth going to, even if a few pieces left a bad taste. The toro and sake were to die for. They also give lots of ginger and soy sauce you can brush on yourself!

Olivia

Google
We each got the first set and then one order of the second set. Every piece was fresh and delicious. They gave us a big pile of ginger and some soy sauce with a brush to add to the sushi. My favorite piece was the fatty tuna and the hamachi. We arrived around 745am and waited about 35 mins for a table. The locals do get to cut in line so YMMV depending on who comes. its pretty cheap at 1300 yen per set. You do go through this industrial are with forklifts and trucks to get here.

Google
Went to this place based on Google reviews and it did not disappoint. This has to be the freshest sushi I’ve ever tried. The fatty tuna was great and it melted in my mouth. The salmon was also great and it tasted like sushi you could never get in the USA. The atmosphere was great as well, it was a quiet and small place so our orders can get to us in around 10 minutes.

Yelp
Fresh sushi at the fish market, reasonable prices, friendly staff? What more could you ask for? This is a spot we have to go to multiple times when we're in Osaka because it is just that good. How it works: - Hope there isn't a line (in all likelihood, there will be a line). Sit in the chairs out front in numerical order to get in the line. No sign in sheet or anything. - Select any of the 4 sushi plates they have. 1300 yen + 10% tax for each plate you order - You can get as many as you'd like and as many as you'd eat - You can swap out one piece per set with anything except for fatty tuna aka toro All of the plates are delicious, but I would especially recommend the first and the second plates. Everything is extremely fresh and the staff is very polite and takes pride in their service. Clam miso soup is also delicious. Highly recommend

Yelp
We waited in line on a cold winter morning at 6:30am and the staff was nice enough to come out and pass around hand warmers to every group. There was quite a line and on New Year's Eve they capped off the line at about 7:45am to close for the day, understandable. The fish was very fresh and was of good quality, there's not much more you can ask for. The sushi selection comes in flights of 5 by picking plate #1-4 however you can ask for substitutions. The miso soup was very unique in that it had clams which gave a nice complexity and appeased my salt level preference. The staff were fairly accommodating and took our orders that we placed in English, so we appreciate that. It's not the cheapest place in Osaka, but also not outrageous.

Yelp
We've had sushi 3 different times on this trip: 2 times in Tokyo and 1 time here at Endo Sushi in Osaka. Unfortunately this was our least favorite sushi restaurant. We arrived at 9:15am on a Monday and there was no wait. It seats about 19. We sat at the counter. The menu consists of 4 different sets of 5 sushi, all 1300 yen + 10% tax. You order the sets by the number 1-4. We ordered all 4 to share among my partner and I + 2 x miso soups at 350 yen each + 10% tax. Total came out to 6490 yen = $43 USD which is actually more than what we paid at the first 2 sushi restaurants that we went to that was far more superior to Endo. Cash only. Service was alright. It was fast. There is no filming allowed, not even your food. You can only take photos. We sat at the counter. None of the sushi chefs looked friendly or happy to see us. Another staff was hovering behind me, maybe making sure I'm not filming? Of the 4 sushi sets, we liked maybe 4-5 pieces out of 20 pcs. My fav were the toro and hotate. Nothing else really stood out, it was mediocre at best. Definitely had better uni and salmon elsewhere. Sushi rice was a bit mushy. We did like that they only give a little of it. Miso soup had a lot of baby clams and Japanese ginger and was a bit salty. We should have just ordered 1 to share. Or skipped all together. We left at 9:35am and there was still no wait. We took a taxi here. Didn't want to walk that far from a station. Overall, not worth a return visit or trip and we don't recommend this place.

Yelp
Okay. Trust the reviews for this one. The omakase is cheap but extremely delicious. Honestly, you probably can't get fresher sushi when they get the fish right from the fish market and probably the same day!!! The service was okay. As a foreigner here, I just need the servers to speak English. They are super nice too. Again, the toro sushi here are to die for. Not to mention the price, the sushi here already beat 99% of the sushi restaurants in Seattle. If you consider the price here, I would probably come here everyday if I work in Osaka. It's like $20 for 5 pieces high quality of sushi. Also the miso soup is freaking delicious. It's super hot tho.

Ashley Y.

Yelp
Besides the uni, everything else here was really good and VERY reasonably priced! The uni (at least when we went here) was not very fresh. They offer 4 different plates - each one comes with 5 pieces of nigiri. And at the current exchange rate each plate comes out to be just $8! It actually wasn't crowded when we went and we didn't get there all that early. But it's probably cause tourism had only just opened up. It's a pretty small space inside sooo would recommend getting there early to be safe! Downside is that this place is kinda in the middle of nowhere buttttt the sushi here is a fantastic value.

Yelp
Endo Sushi is a family-owned sushi restaurant that has been around for over a hundred years and is situated perfectly right next to/inside a wholesale market, Chuo Ichiba (Marketplace). Decided to visit this particular spot because it came highly recommended on Google Map (4+ stars and over 1000 reviews!), and it absolutely met my expectations. When you enter the shop you'll either be given a menu or you'll be directly asked if you want "omakase" (chef's choice); The sushi (primarily nigirizushi style, where the fish is placed on top of a cluster of seasoned rice) comes in a set of five with fish/seafood that is currently in season. When I visited, I had the hamachi (yellowtail) chu toro tuna, tai (seabream), uni (sea urchin), and anago (salt-water eel) (i.e., Plate 1 from the menu pics posted by other reviews on Yelp). The sushi was, in a word, delicious. Everything tasted so fresh, the slices of fish were THICC and so tender--I feel comfortable saying that this might very well be some of the best sashimi I've ever had, anywhere. Standouts included the uni--so buttery and generously portioned--and the tai--very chewy and plump. One plate will run you about 1300 yen, and it's another 300 yen + tax for the aka-dashi miso soup. Supposedly their menu lists four different plates featuring different assortments of nigirizushi (see other reviews). You can also ask the staff to omit wasabi/inform them of any dietary restrictions you may have. And speaking of staff, they were very friendly, attentive, and welcoming, greeting each customer as they came in and went, and overall the store had a very cozy, quiet, and clean atmosphere. (Careful COVID measures in place as well.) It's worth noting that the store is a little tricky to find at first. It's not very obviously positioned, so just walk straight through the main gate of the marketplace into the parking lot, and you'll spy a little island with a few restaurants smack in the middle of the parking lot (the restaurant is outside of the covered area with the vendor stalls). Also, Endo Sushi is open for business primarily in the morning (6:15am-ish to around 1pm). If you come around noon, expect crowds; I visited around 9am on a Friday morning and was lucky to find no line and few customers in the shop. So plan accordingly! TL;DR: Rise and shine and come here early in the morning for incredibly fresh, thick slices of seasonal sushi at very reasonable prices.

Yelp
From my recent trip to Japan, I would have to say - this is the *BEST* sushi we've had from all the cities we've visited. I'm not entirely surprised since Endo Sushi is pretty much right next to the Osaka Fish Market. Let me tell you that everything tastes so fresh, and the flavors are absolutely AH-MAZING. The menu is pretty simple, you can choose from 4 different Omakase sets. I highly recommend #1 and #4. #1: consists of anago (sea water eel), uni, sea bream, toro, and hamachi. Holy shoot man, everything is so good! I cannot really describe the amazing taste of their uni, but it was totally out of this world, tbh. The toro is fatty and delicious (5/5) #4: consists of salmon, salmon roe, calamari, fatty tuna and halfbreak. The salmon was really yummy, but my favorite surprise was the roe. Honestly, roe has never been a favorite of mine in the US, but after tasting roe here in Japan, I have changed my mind and became a fan of roe now! Thank you Endo for converting me to a roe fan. The taste of the roe is absolutely amazing, and they pop so fresh in your mouth! (5/5) I recommend coming here in the morning on a weekday because there isn't much of a line. There are restrooms outside (but Japanese style), so make sure to bring your hand sanitizer and handkerchief. Highly recommend Endo!

Yelp
What a great sushi place! I wish we had discovered this restaurant sooner rather than on the last day of our stay; We would've visited multiple times! There are 4 options for omakase. The prices were so cheap, we couldn't resist trying them all! The fish quality was amazing and was some of the best sushi we had in Japan. Presumably from the Osaka's fish market right next door, the prices were a steal for the quality. You're allowed to substitute (1) piece in each set, with the exception of toro. Each piece really just melts in your mouth. Do also get the miso soup! It's fantastic and comes with a lot of clams at ~$3. Like most places in Japan, the restaurant is very small with maybe 3 tables + bar. Don't miss out on this little gem. I can't wait to revisit when I'm back!

Yelp
TL;DR: Fresh, reasonably-priced sushi restaurant tucked away in the corner of the Osaka Fish Market. For someone with a horrible sense of direction, I somehow managed to figure out that the entrance is on the back side of the ramp as you walk into the plaza. There's no graceful path to walk to the restaurant, as some jaywalking was required. This is a long-winded way to say that it's worth the effort in finding this spot. When I got to the tiny sushi restaurant at 9:15am on a Saturday, there were 6 people ahead of me in line. There's no sign-in sheet system, so less than 15 minutes later, I inched to the front of the line. I could have been seated had my party been there with me. Because of the simple prix fixe sushi plates (priced at ¥1,050 + 8% tax), turnovers are impressively quick. The restaurant is small, though can accommodate several 4-person parties, as well as the bar. I ordered Maze #1, and then the scallop and crab leg sushi a la carte. Although every piece was incredibly fresh and tasty, the Hamachi, Anago and Tai were my favorites. The service was outstanding, and as I suspect many tourists have successful discovered this spot, the service staff is able to communicate just enough in English.

Yelp
One of the best omasake experiences we had while in Japan! This place was highly recommended to us and it didn't disappoint. Since we were still adjusting to the time change, we ventured to the Osaka Fish Market at 7am to try this place out. It's about a 15 minute walk from the subway station, but worth it. When we arrived we were seated quickly, since there wasn't a wait. However, about 20 minutes after we were seated there was a crowd waiting outside. We started with plates 1, 2, and 3. Each piece of sushi was fresh, delicious, and you can just taste the quality. Our favorites were the salmon, uni, toro, and anago. Waitress was friendly and service was quick. Cash only. Would recommend.

Yelp
At first, I thought we were lost as we walked aimlessly through a parking lot within the Osaka fish market. GPS was pointing to what seems like nothing, however trust the map. It's not leading you to the middle of no where, I promise. This tiny restaurant serves up some of the freshest sushi that I've ever had. This is almost as good as Sushi Dai, although different. Sushi Endo has set dishes all at the same reasonable price. The beauty of this set up as well is that you can sub specific pieces out for the one you want, only exception is you can't substitute Toro. The fish is incredibly fresh but more importantly the rice is equally amazing. The restaurant itself is tiny but well worth the wait if there is one. The toro definitely was the star of the show, however the salmon was probably the best salmon nigiri that i've ever had in my life. We thought that we would try all 4 options available but by the end of the 3rd dish, we were so full. We ordered maze 1, 3, and 4, each maze comes with 5 pieces. Definitely a must try. I do want to warn that like most places in Japan, it's cash only. This is hands down one of the best value meals in Osaka.

Eva L.

Yelp
Of course when in Japan, you need to get sushi from this small quaint shop right next to the Aji river. The entrance is a little hard to find because it's in the dock area and you have to jay-walk across roads with trucks of fish zipping by. If you do have a chance and the day is pretty, you can also take a stroll along the river. Tucked away spot with only about 10-15 seats, lies a beautiful restaurant where you can simply enjoy your sliced fish. Affordable sushi and simple selections. There are only about 5 sets for only about 1000Y each with an additional charge for the miso soup, but maybe only 300Y more. Don't forget your cash though and it's best to get there early. I rolled in at 10AM because it was a little bit of a further walk from the metro than expected and I was immediately seated (to my luck). It could have also been because a group of 8 came out right when I was arriving. :)

Yelp
Great place for sushi!! Based off the reviews online, I expected a long line up at this place when we arrived at 8a.m. However, we were pleasantly surprised to find the place empty - we had it all to ourselves! My parents ordered a set #1, a set of five pieces which consisted primarily of different types of fish (anago, toro, tai, hamachi) and a single piece of uni. The fish was fresh, but on retrospect, they said they wished they had ordered something else and a bit more special. My sister and I ordered the set #2, with one substitution each. The set typically comes with toro, crab, ark shell, scallop, and a fish called hairtail. My sister chose to substitute the hairtail for uni, and I for anago (conger eel). Each set costs 1050¥, and we were pleasantly surprised to find that no extra cost accompanied the substitution! The crab was delightfully sweet, as were the ark shell and scallop. The scallop was the perfect texture, and I didn't dare add too much soy sauce to avoid overpowering its soft sweet flavour. I savoured every bite and really enjoyed this meal! One of my favourites. However, we found the toro to be quite stringy. Pieces of tendon still existed, so the entire piece didn't quite melt in our mouths (unlike the other pieces we enjoyed at Osaka's Kuromon Ichiba market). We were a little disappointed at that. Another thing that fell below our expectations was the clam miso soup. I realize that it's received raving reviews, but we weren't quite sold by it. The red miso flavour was overpowering, leading the soup to be overly salty. Moreover, there were many strands of ginger. Although the clams were the main selling point, they were small and filled with sand, causing the bottom portion of my soup to be so sandy. Blegh. Definitely not worth the 300¥ price tag.

Jess R.

Yelp
This was one of the first sushi places we hit in Japan and it was one of our favorites! We were able to watch the chef make the sushi right in front of us! Everything was super fresh and delectable. Our favorite was the sea urchin which was both our first time trying it. We came here for breakfast around 9am and the place was packed! Would highly recommend!!!

Alex H.

Yelp
One of the best sushi restaurants in Osaka and maybe even Japan. Being next to the fish market ensures the fish is very, very fresh. Rice is slightly vinegar-y. Great miso soup which has clams mixed in. We can straight from the tuna auction so no lines at opening at 6:15am. Recommend ordering omakase dishes #1 and #2. Order Hamachi if you want something extra because it's the best!

Tony L.

Yelp
The was an awesome day during my Osaka trip, I was told the locals frequently visit this location for sushi, and I just had go out of my way to visit here. They were literally right inside a fish market by the ocean. Beside taking a taxi straight there, any form of public transit requires at least 7-15 minutes of walking on top. We thought we were early, just an hour they opened, there were already a long line outside. Words must got out about this place, everyone in line were mostly Asian tourists. Menu was simple, just 4 types of Omakase with 5 pieces nigiri for just $10 each. Miso soup on the side. The soup was loaded with ingredients. Fish quality was top notch even for ones I had in Japan, except for the Michelin places. Endo is still one of those places I think about even today. Worth the effort to go out of your way to come here early morning. The line waiting is minimal compare to the reward. All of the staffs are well discipline and professional as should be. On a side note, I believe they are opening a second location in Bangkok?!

Juan C.

Yelp
Absolutely the best sushi I have ever had. Arrived at 7:30AM on a Wednesday, place was only half full, but completely full by the time I left almost an hour later. Tried 3 of their 4 plates. Wished my stomach was bigger to try them all. Really glad that they accommodate for people, like me, who don't like wasabi. Highly recommend it.

Alice T.

Yelp
1150 JPY per omakase set. Each set comes with 5 pieces. We did two sets of #1 and one set of #2. My favorites were the fatty tuna, eel, scallop, and hairtail (the only blowtorched piece of the two sets). Good quality fish and fresh, but it's not 5 stars because you can tell each piece is made quickly and without the care that you get from an expensive omakase meal. However, it's only $2 per piece for some fish that came (presumably) from the fish market right next door, so can you really complain? Oh and don't forget to try the miso soup for 300 JPY. It's a really rich broth with lots of herbs and clams, and it's quite different from traditional miso soup. We got there around 10am on Saturday and the line was already about 15 people deep. Wait it out though! We ended up only waiting for about 20 mins! Friendly staff who speak English. Cash only and they only allow one check.

Jack M.

Yelp
Waited in line for 15 minutes at 10am. This is super fresh sushi. Clam soup had excellent flavor balance.

Andy N.

Yelp
Yes this place is tucked away from the fish market. Endo sushi is extremely famous in the Osaka area. It's a small little spot with a little sign out front. You order by the sets. It's about $10 for 5 different pieces of sushi along with green tea and miso soup. The place gets packed if you come late. The quality of the fish is top notch. Unagi delicious, toro amazing, uni melted in my mouth, sea bream fresh, and yellow tail incredible. I could probably eat this daily Recommendation : Set A

Edmond T.

Yelp
Definitely a great early lunch spot or come super early in the morning to experience the hustle and bustle of the fish and vegetables market! Similar to the fish market in Tokyo, there are a few sushi restaurants in the Osaka fish market. We arrived around 10am, missed all the morning festivities, but also no line at Endo. Food was great, very fresh sushi at a very reasonable price, cheaper than a bowl of noodles at most spots. Highly recommend the uni and the toro, which you can order a la carte rather than just choose between combo 1-4. Waitress spoke good English, and the menu is super tourist friendly. Recommend!

Ronald W.

Yelp
Super affordable and tasty omakase sushi set. Took a little while to find it outside the market with a bunch of restaurants in a row with only Japanese signage. I had to ask a local which door it was. Friendly and tasty sushi sets. I think you can substitute in some cases, but I didn't bother and just had 3 different sets.

Ellie L.

Yelp
Saw this shop on one of Mark Wein's YT videos and wanted to see what the hype was about. It was a nice 15 minutes stroll from the train station. There are lots of mom/pop shops along the way and the breeze from the bay was relaxing. We got there right when it opened and waited for about 40 minutes until we got seated. I was confused on how to sign in for a table. They do not have a check-in list. It's a first come and the first person in line kind of ordeal. We tried three out of four sets that were on their menu, around $10 ea. Our highlights were salmon, uni, toro, chu-toro, and sea bream. Quality was fresh but definitely didn't make us go WOW. It was a nice way to start the morning with sushi and green tea, but not a place to get full from.

David L.

Yelp
I've eaten at sushi dai in Tokyo and sushi iwa in Kyoto in the last two days and this place blows either out of the water. All you need to know is that it's priced dirt cheap (~$10 USD) for a plate of five fantastic pieces (see menu) and the quality is very very high. Yes, you are sitting at a small wooden table in a place that looks like it's a cheap little restaurant but at the end of the day these guys do that so they can get you the best quality fish for the absolute lowest price.

David D.

Yelp
Nice little sushi place a mall, confusing to find when you are in the mall. Took us almost 40 min to find it. They have set nigiri meals for reasonable prices around ¥1000. Each set comes with 5 nigiri. Got the first set which comes with uni, anago, tai, toro, and hamachi. Was still hungry so got another one which had salmon, calamari, salmon roe, fatty tuna and half beak Tasty sushi, not the best, but good for the price you pay. Explore and savour!!

Henry W.

Yelp
After much hype and excitement I braved the early morning crowds at 8 am to see what the fuss was about. This was in late march so it was damn cold.. like mid 40's with a strong breeze. I couldn't believe the sheer number of girls with skirts on... Anyhow, after an hour and a half of seemingly no line movement I was finally in. The place was definitely small with a max seating capacity around 20ish. You can choose from among 3 sets of sushi with the freedom to interchange pieces with others. I chose set 1 and substituted sea bream with scallop. I watched as the chef mass made a bunch of sushi sets - it did kind of seem like he was carelessly doing it all but I'm no sushi chef so I have no ground to stand on there. My set 1 was : Toro, yellowtail, scallop, uni, and unagi. Yellowtail : a bit chewy but had a nice flavor. The chewiness was kind of a turnoff though. Scallop : super sweet and fresh - one of my favorite things here Uni : bitter and not sweet at all, with a decent amount of briney flavor. Unagi : tiny cut without the grill flavor I'm used to having with unagi Toro : very nice melt in your mouth.. as you would expect with toro. Overall the only two pieces of sushi I liked were the Toro and the Scallop. All the others were kind of disappointing, especially for a crazy hyped places like this and on top of an hour plus wait. I'd say skip this place unless you really like wasting your time in lines. There are much better sushi joints in central Osaka with no wait and better prices.

Tracy V.

Yelp
The best sushi you will ever try in life. This is Omakase style, but all the fish choices are so so good. Melts in your mouth. It Is located next to the fish market so the fish is caught that same morning. You choose between 4 sets of 5 each. And fairly priced too. As of today, it is 1150 yen which is ~$10 usd. If you go to San Francisco and get this by the dock, for sure you'll be paying an arm and a leg.

Paige Y.

Yelp
After reading the largely raving reviews about this place, I had high expectations for the quality of the fish. We waited about 15 minutes outside the restaurant before being led to our table inside. They started us off with a very pleasantly strong matcha powdered tea. We ordered two of the #1 and two of the #2. The sushi arrived quickly. Many of the reviews described the toro as a 'melts in mouth' experience so we were excited to experience that for ourselves. Unfortunately out of the two orders we placed, only the Uni was worth it. Many of the other pieces of sushi, including toro (which was supposed to be buttery and fatty), proved to be disappointingly chewy and stringy. In fact, tonight we opted for a neighborhood grocery salmon and sushi platter where we had that 'buttery melt in the mouth' experience at half the price. Perhaps by chance we were given the lesser quality cut of the fish. Regardless, we would recommend trying sushi at other locations and are glad to have checked this spot off our list.

Angela L.

Yelp
During my recent trip to Japan, we visited Osaka, Kyoto, and Tokyo. I had sushi in both Osaka and Tokyo. I even visited the fish markets in Tokyo. This restaurant was the place for the best sushi in my life. The menu is super simple; they offer four different options. You get five pieces of sushi for approximately 10 dollars. This restaurant is located maybe 15 minutes from a subway station, but I think it's definitely worth the walk. I definitely recommend this restaurant! You won't regret it!

Kim N.

Yelp
Sushi for breakfast? Yes please, it's the norm in Japan. This place has 4 sets of sushi plate. 5 different pieces on each. I tried all 4 sets and my favorite would be #1 and #2. The other two sets you can pass. You can definitely order a la carte or switch up the pieces on the set. Sushi is good quality. It melts in your mouth kind of sushi because I inhaled it once the plate hit the table. Their miso soup is on another level, so flavorful. Small baby clams in every bowl. It's so good on a cold day. We ate here twice and each time was no wait. Service was good. Sweet lady comes by often to refill free hot green tea.

James T.

Yelp
I really enjoyed the eel and yellowtail. The best part was the clam soup though. Good service and very welcome to foreigners.

Linda T.

Yelp
One of my best sushi meals on my trip in Japan! We went on a Thursday morning around 9am, and we didn't have to wait at all. It did start getting busier a little before 10am when we were leaving. They have 4 different sushi plate combo's (1050 yen each) to pick from that have 5 pieces of sushi each. We all ordered the first and second set with a side miso soup. The sushi was soooo good and ridiculously cheap compared to what you'd pay in the states! They add herbs and clams to their miso soup, and it was soooo flavorful. I was so surprised by how they transformed a simple dish as miso soup. The restaurant is located at the fish market in Osaka- there's not much else in the area but definitely worth going to!

1150 Yen per 5 pieces of fresh sushi (Set A and D!) 300 Yen for steamy-hot and clam-filled miso soup Walking here is definitely a leisurely adventure down a few narrow streets from the Fukushima station but it's well-worth the effort. Also you may notice the huge biking community, be aware of your surroundings, including bikers who don't always stay on the roads. Tips: -Cash only -You can order more than one set per person and also sub out pieces but it may cost you more -Get the miso soup (expect ginger, clams, and green onion) -Pay at the door/get the check before exiting -Tables are usually 2-4 seats, there is a counter but don't expect anything fancy except ginger, hot tea and soy sauce (with a brush) -Walk through the market stalks toward the water or go around the block using Google or Yelp

Yelp
This is the best sushi I've had for a really long time (and possibly the best I've had ever). I ordered set A: anago (sea water eel), uni (sea urchin), tai (sea bream), toro (fatty tuna), and hamachi (yellow tail). The hamachi was the best I've ever had, the toro and uni were very fresh, tai I don't usually have but was as enjoyable as the hamachi. Anago was good though I'm generally not a fan of anago. Order the miso soup, its thick & delicious and chock full of clams. The sushi set was so good I ordered two and will be back here again before I leave Osaka!

Yelp
This was the best sushi I've ever had, by a significant margin (until I went to Tokyo two days later). We went on a Tuesday around 7am and barely had to wait, which already put me in a good mood. The first few bites took me to another place of elation. It's bizarre that I paid ~$20 for a top-10 meal of my life -- much love, Osaka. Two added bonuses: best miso ever (with tiny little clams hiding at the bottom of the bowl) and an authentic business meeting over sushi, a practice I hope to bring back to Corporate America. Extra bonus: the Japanese businessmen didn't even pay! Must be some sort of lifetime achievement thing, inspiring in its own right.

Yelp
When you hear fish market in Japan, Tsukiji market is usually the first place that comes to mind. Osaka has its own wholesale market as well but lacks all the restaurants and food stands like its Tokyo counterpart. However if you actually take the effort to go, you'll find Endo Sushi. It's one of a few restaurants in the market and can be easily missed. As you approach the entrance to the market, there will be a small row of wooden houses on an "island". Endo is the third restaurant. They only have 4 sets to choose from but you can also order per item. Each set is under 1200 yen and has 5 pieces. I ordered set A and B, and loved every single piece of sushi. I also highly recommend ordering the miso soup for 300 yen. It's homemade and the sheer amount of baby clams they put in there is a meal on its own. We had the pleasure of making small talk with Endo-san himself while he was making the sushi. Definitely a great place to visit while in Osaka. Cash only!

Yelp
Endo sushi (ゑんどう寿司) is a neat place tucked inside the Osaka Fish Market complex. It's pretty easy to spot and most of the workers in the fish market know exactly where it is so don't be scared to ask! The only con is that it's pretty far from Noda station so I decided to take the bus from Yodoyabashi to the stop near the fish market (I completely forgot the station's name) so that I only had to do one long walk versus two. #WorkSmarterNotHarder The fiance and I had a late start to our day and ended up getting to Endo at around 10AM which I feel was perfect. There was no line outside (I hear that it gets a little crazy early in the morning) and we were able to sit down before the lunch rush began. Endo's totally worth every penny. Around ¥1,200 for a plate of 5 pieces of nigiri. Before you guys roll your eyes and say it's more expensive than others keep in mind that Endo serves ridiculously fresh fish and THICK slices of it. I'm not even kidding but they are SO generous with the amount of fish they give you. Even with the Ikura, I felt like they gave me a half portion of rice and half Ikura. P.S. My search for buttery, melt-in-your-mouth, absolutely delish otoro has ended. Ah, ゑんどうさん御馳走様でした。(Endo san, gochisosama deshita)

Yelp
Probably the best sushi I ever had in my life. I wish I had more. I know there could be better sushi in Japan but this was fantastic. My first time in Japan and in Osaka. I met some cool folks from Sweden as well. You should get here early.

Yelp
Believe it or not they are opening a branch in Bangkok,Thailand!!! This place must be 50% Thais at anytime because Thailand have this place at one of their Internet website. Sorry to say this place is gone unless remedial measures are implemented since the chief chef Namba san left for Bangkok and now the food is of poor value and quality.

Yelp
I like the small setting of this fish market in Osaka. The sushi bar felt very intimate with many tourists from around the world. However, you can't really compare Endo with Sushi Dai in Tokyo. As you expected, the fish was very fresh. Having said that, being that you are in Japan, having a fresh fish is almost a prerequisite. The price point was very good - ~1000 yen for 5 nigiri that comprised of toro/uni/anago/... As a side ote, to get otoro and chutoro, you have to pay additional 1000-2000 yen per fish - which is rather steep. The sad part about Endo sushi was the rice. As your chop stick touched the nigiri, the whole rice fell apart immediately. I understand it was 6 or 7 am in the morning; however, rice with the right temperature and stickiness was critical success factor to embody what a good sushi is. If you like to wake up at 4 or 5 am to get your sushi, Endo is not the one for you.

Yelp
Everyone knows about Tsukiji fish market and Sushi Dai in Tokyo, but when in Osaka - their very own fish market and Endo Sushi is definitely worth a visit too! We came in the afternoon on a weekday and were lucky to not have to wait for a table. After being seated, we were promptly given an English menu (very helpful!) with 4 jyo-maze (5-pieces of sushi) sets to choose from. We decided to each order 2 sets along with their miso soup. The sushi melts in your mouth! You can tell they use high quality fish and it is super fresh. My favorite was uni and of course, toro. Their miso soup was also really delicious and had seafood in it. Great place to stop for lunch, or if you dare - you can try to brave the morning crowds and come here after a visit to the fish market!

Yelp
As I wait in line .... I am going to start the review :) seems like an ongoing trend in Japan waiting in line for yummy food. We braved the rain and got here around 1050. Not close to any train station but by bus it's about a 10 minute walk. The place is small and when you get there stand in the queue. Lots of locals also in line with us especially as it got closer to 11am I guess it's there go to lunch spot. The 5 pieces of fresh sushi was so worth it and it was such high quality and delicious. This was probably the best sushi place we went to, eventhough small but definitely amazing and very homey.

Yelp
Endo sushi is a small establishment found by the Osaka fish market. It took a while for my friends and I to find this place but it was definitely well worth the search. The restaurant itself is pretty small seat perhaps max 14 people. As a group of four we lucked out getting the last available table and soon afterwards a line formed outside the restaurant. Definitely try the clam miso soup here, it's made fresh of course. Sushi is broken down into sets of 5 pieces per each ranging from 1100 to 1300 yen. You could of course also order a la carte if you chose to. There's a bowl of ginger to cleanse you palate between pieces and also a bowl of soy sauce for you to brush onto your sushi which was a bit different than what we see in Canada. Overall an amazing sushi experience for this little hidden gem. Definitely coming back.

Yelp
The ever popular and vaunted Endo Sushi definitely delivered. I missed an opportunity to go on a previous trip to Osaka and was dying to go back. Their format has been really nicely tooled for foreign tourists with the five piece sets and some degree of flexibility as well. The Central Market doesn't have much to offer tourists, unlike Tokyo's vaunted Tsukiji, but the relatively short wait here at Endo is worth the trip. I'd be more willing to go out of my way to get here than to Sushi Dai or Daiwa. The fish quality is very good (it had some flaws, hence the 4 stars instead of 5) and the price is right. Do it!

Yelp
Great little sushi shop at the corner of the Osaka wholesale fish market. The place only fit about 20 at a time and is very popular with the locals and tourist. Lines start forming quickly and can get a 30-45 wait pending the time of day. There are set menus with popular selections of sushi (4 set), 5 piece each for about 1000 yen. The pieces are a bit on the small side, but the are the freshes thing you'll ever taste, worth every penny. A definite visit for some breakfast sushi, worth the journey.

Yelp
Ordered two sets of sushi. Only the uni was very good. The rest was just mediocre. A few fish pieces didn't seem to be good cuts, they had stringy membranes in the flesh and were rather chewy, not what I would expect for good sushi. A pretty disappointing experience after seeing so many good reviews and walking a pretty long time to get to and find this place.

Yelp
I had initially tried omakaze sushi at the Tokyo Tsukiji fish market, which was absolutely fabulous. So I had that as a standard before I toured Osaka. I decided to check out sushi at Osaka's fish market as well. I did some research and ended up at Endo Sushi. The sushi definitely can't stack up to those at the Tokyo fish market, but it doesn't disappoint. It's still great quality and decently priced.

Yelp
Freshest sushi Ive ever had. I was introduced to Endo sushi by a Thai friend who frequented Osaka for work throughout he year and said that this would be quite the experience for us. It's very difficult to find, the shop is facing the fish market harbor and if you're coming in from the subway/ JR line you'll be walking through the market quite a bit, just keep heading toward the harbor! Then of course you come across the coffee shop and next to it is 10-15 old asian ladies and gents standing in line patiently and you know you're at Endo lol. You can order any kind of sushi here but it's more economical to order the 1-4 chef choice options which comes with 5 pieces of nigiri for ¥1080. We tried 3 plates then ordered specific sushi we liked. It was interesting to try seabream, Halfbeak, and other fish not always readily available in typical US sushi places. The more awesome addition to our meal was the clam miso soup (¥300) which was so delicious and unique. The clams are tender and the miso soup is rich and is truly amazing unlike any miso soup anywhere back home! The waitress speaks english well and the quality of the fish is even better than places in Tokyo. I would make a point to visit again and again!
