Emily was just the sweetest and best ever. Our first time here and we absolutely enjoyed it this Saturday morning. Food came out quick with GF options, and Emily definitely made our Saturday more enjoyable than ever. They do prefer reservations but we came in as a walk in, and was seated right away. Thanks to Emily we plan on being regulars!!!

My husband and I had an amazing experience at Engine Company No. 3! The brunch menu offered a variety of delicious options, and the portions were just right. Everything tasted fresh and the presentation of each dish was impeccable. We started off with the Monkey Bread, it was good however it would have been better if it had been warmed up more! My husband ordered the Cajun Shrimp and Polenta. It was very good and the shrimp were succulent. The dish was spicy, but he loves spice so this was perfect for him. I had the Argentinian Pork Belly with garlic mashed potatoes and chimichurri. The pork belly was so tender I could cut it with a spoon! The restaurant's atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and the service was friendly and attentive. I especially appreciated the option of eating outside on a beautiful day. I highly recommend checking out this spot for brunch - you won't be disappointed!"

Brunch tapas were delightful. Everything is flavorful and well-presented. Most of the dishes we ordered included a sunny side up egg, which was a major perk from my perspective. The Breakfast Poutine was the highlight from our order. The goat cheese curds were creamy perfection, both on the poutine and as a dish (served on toast). The host was condescending and unhelpful, which set my experience on a negative foot, but our server was sweet and attentive. Service is quick, even at a busy time.

I liked it! Quite cool vibe for your breakfast or brunch. I got to know it is the same owner for La Merenda, which makes sense to have multiple Spanish tapas and the influence of the latin cuisine in the menu. Funny note a friend said: they will serve you every dish with an egg in the middle 😄

Delicious brunch spot! It is unique because of the tapas style menu. We loved the truffle potato skins. The seasonal risotto was perfect. Everyone liked their tapas, except for the potato pancake. The spicy bloody mary was good and comes with a high life chaser. It was a cool atmosphere in a renovated old fire station. The server was very nice. Definitely recommend getting a reservation for brunch!

Great service... food average Brooke did a wonderful job as our server. Very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Atmosphere was very cool and interesting however I thought the food was a little overpriced. As you see in the photos they tried real hard to make the menu interesting but it just isn’t that delicious for the price. I would rather you stick to an America theme and do it well then to try so many things and just achieve so so!

I have not been here for over a year, and I'm kicking myself for that. I love this place. The food is fantastic, and the service is even better. How is that possible?!? Post COVID! A few of us came here for lunch on a Friday, and it wasn't even crowded. Our bartender/waiter was great. He was super attentive and even made us a custom bloody mary. No mix! From scratch! We ordered several small plates, and it seemed like each one was better than the last. I will be coming back much sooner, I can guarantee you that!

Day after Christmas, this place was finally open, meaning not packed and crammed with customers like we always see when we're on our way to eat at The National Cafe, which was closed today unfortunately. So we finally got to try it out. Cute interior and friendly, overly-solicitous waitstaff (maybe because they're so used to being packed the excess staff had nothing to do except come over to our table every 4 minutes and ask how we were doing. But that's not really a complaint since at most restaurants you have to wave staff down to get a glass of water. But we were trying to have an in-depth conversation so it was slightly annoying to have to say 'everything's fine' every four minutes and then try to jump back into the deep point you were trying to make). I'm glad they had signs saying masks were required, but they didn't enforce it as the couple who came in behind us wore no masks and no one said a thing. Everyone else in the place was masked - thank you! Many vegetarian options on one side of the menu, and some could be made vegan, meat-filled options on the other side of the menu. Our waitress asked if it was our first time there and when we said yes, she then explained that the menu is tapas-style and we should order more than one dish and share with each other. That explained why the sauteed spinach, which is usually a side dish was a solo menu item and priced so high. Brunch for two people with tea, coffee, four dishes and tip was $50. The food was ok, but not worth coming back for, for what you get. I'm glad we finally got to experience it so now we know to stick with The National a few blocks away. If someone had given us this recommendation beforehand, we wouldn't have tried it. Three star rating because they had vegan items (although their garlic aioli has egg in it), food wasn't bad, they had 'masks required' signs, and friendly waitstaff. It would have gotten more stars if they'd enforced mask-wearing and prices weren't so high.

Engine Company No. 3 has been one of our favorite brunch places for the last several years so when we read that they were closing brunch service in favor of an "events only space" we knew we had to go for one last brunch. We made reservations for 11:30 on a Sunday and were seated right away. As a way to celebrate our last meal at this place, we decided to get the dishes we've loved and dishes we have been wanting to try. My husband got an Irish coffee and I got the honeybee mosa. The coffee was strong and not super sweet. My mimosa was fruity and delicious with the honey shining through nicely. For our meal, we got the patatas bravas, goat cheese curds made vegetarian, vegetarian empanadas, patacon com huevos, and the espresso meringata pancakes. We've had the patatas bravas before and is probably one of our favorite dishes here, but the empanadas were a first time for us and they were equally delicious! Hard to pick between the two for sure. The goat cheese curds were nothing like I was expecting, but the flavor was sublime; it was creamy and rich and the cheese curds themselves were very tasty. I do wish we got to try some of the curds without throwing sauce though. The patacon con huevos was mostly good - the salsa was delicious and fresh, but the rice and beans were a little bland. The patacones themselves were good! The pancakes were a little disappointing because as a bite with all of the components including the pancake, chocolate sauce, and topping was good, but it was very subtly sweet and in my opinion there wasn't enough chocolate sauce. The staff was very friendly, but I think they may have been a little distracted today because we ended up with four full glasses of water and six eating plates for the two of us. We are definitely going to miss this place, but will happily go to La Merenda so we can keep getting some of our favorite dishes!

Amazing as always! The food is flavorful and the environment is perfect for brunch. Also, the Tres Leche French toast is a MUST have!

I always forget my awesome server's names but I could never forget Emily. She was the SWEETEST and so helpful with our indecisiveness. We took pretty much every recommendation she had and all of the food was amazing! I would go back to Engine Company No. 3 just to be served by Emily again...and I probably will.

A fire department turned restaurant that has THEE BEST brunch in Milwaukee. If you have not been here, you're missing out and I highly recommend that you take some time to come enjoy these wonderful and delicious dishes. It's not just the food that's good. The service is unmatched. I have nothing but good things to say about this place. The servers are very attentive and fast. The food comes out as soon as they are made so you'll always have a hot plate of food. Reservations are highly encouraged since this place is easily booked up on the weekends. A sure way to secure a table is booking through Open Table. Let's get to the food review. I mean what can I say besides it's delicious and you have to try it for yourself. A few dishes that are an absolutely dream are the veggie empanadas, roasted veggie crepes, quiche Lorraine, quiche florrentine, the pork Benedict is TO DIE FOR!!! I'm telling you, all of these dishes are so incredibly delicious and it is tapas style so you can share different dishes with your love ones. Mmmm what else... oh try the orange juice. I don't know what is in it but it's so fresh and yummy. For more "fun" drinks, the chai maintenance is very tasty and will get you a little tipsy. Overall, a phenomenal place for all ages. Bring your whole family if you want. Try all the dishes. I'm telling you, it's for sure worth it.

Delicious! It's a brunch style brunch spot with different types of dishes from different countries. For tapas, the dishes were pretty big so we didn't have to order much to fill us up. I also got the salted caramel latte and it was so good! Service was nice and ambience was cool as well. Definitely try the tres leches French toast, so delicious!

Hubby and I went for brunch with friends at 8:30AM on July 4th. The restaurant takes reservations so it secured us a table for 6 during the holiday weekend & after Bucks won a big game. It's pretty quiet at that time which we all liked. Spacious, casual, clean, bright with lots of nostalgic decor. Our server was very friendly and took good care of us. We ordered and shared the monkey bread, goat-cheese cheese curds, patatas chorizo, French toast & quiche Lorraine. I loved the super rich & flavorful quiche Lorraine a lot - creamy, savory base with that nice crunchy bacon. The French toast was sweet and soft which I liked too. Our friend who's visiting from DC tasted everything and really liked this place.

Had a great brunch experience here and would definitely come back! The food we got was all delicious and there's so many more menu items I want to come back to try. The ambiance is lovely whether you are inside or on the patio, and the garage door opens up to let plenty of air and light in even when you're sitting inside. They explained the concept as tapas to share but "Wisconsin sized tapas" so pretty decently sized portions if you don't want to share. I do think some of the dishes can be a little difficult or uncomfortable to split if you are not close with your group, but if you are used to family style then there should be no problem. They take reservations online which is always convenient! Service was quick even on a Sunday afternoon and the staff was super friendly.

A solid good brunch place i have been in a while. Our party of 5 got seated within 20 minutes getting to the spot (which is rare on a Sunday at 11 am!). The wait staff was courteous and kind in explaining the menu and helped us understand what the portion sizes were. The atmosphere of the restaurant is that of an old firestation and its very eclectic with framed historical pieces on the wall. Lots of fire station artifacts are displayed to bring you into the narrative. We ordered some Sunday drinks (bloodys, teas and mimosas) and some brunch foods (Benedict, truffle potato skins, quiche and shrimp creole). All delicious and well balanced flavors. Recommend this place for brunch for sure!

Stopped by Engine company No. 3 with my friend on a Friday morning. Got seated right away, the decor is super charming it's a renovated firehouse turned into a restaurant. Loved how they have a variety of dishes from different countries like Colombia, France, Spain, Mexico and many more. Is a tapas brunch serving style restaurant! And their ingredients come from local farms in Wisconsin which is always a plus the food tastes 10x more fresh. Our server was so kind and helpful. Asked for some recommendations and she recommended the patacón con huevo y chorizo so that's what ordered, it was delicious definitely recommend.

The true winner of this brunch is the "Make It A Round" mimosas! You get a whole carafe of Proscecco that you can dribble with orange juice, or vice versa (but you're doing it wrong this way!) The food was hot and fresh. The large tapas style menus makes it a unique experience every time you visit. A great Milwaukee local spot!

My friend and I decided brunch was in order for her birthday, and she'd never been to Engine Company No.3. Having not been there in a few years myself, it seemed like the perfect time to return! I love the aesthetic of this place -- the cream city brick, exposed pipping and duct work, and weathered flooring give off a cool, rustic feel. What's different now is their great new safety precautions, including limited tables, tapped lines on the floor to indicate social distancing, all staff in masks, and plastic barriers between tables. It really must have been a long time since my last visit here, because I completely forgot this is a tapas (small plate) restaurant. The menu is packed with an array of options like Argentinian pork belly, roasted veggie crepes, and pancakes or French toast for those who prefer a sweeter dish. We started by sharing the truffled potato skins, and oh my goodness were those delicious. The perfect amount of crisp, truly covered in truffle oil, and topped with shaved parmesan cheese. My friend enjoyed the lobster quiche for herself, and I went for the veggie omelette that was on special. Five stars on both accounts. As we were leaving, we both remarked how lovely our server was (Emily I believe her name was). She made our brunch experience extra enjoyable by being so friendly, smiley, and knowledgeable! Thanks for that, it goes a long way :)

Amazing place for tapas brunch! The portion sizes are perfect for sharing plates and all the food options are fantastic!

This has to be one of my favorite brunch spots. I moved away from MKE several years back, but I get back when I can. This is always a top choice for me! And, it's super nice because they do take reservations. Huge plus in my books! Atmosphere. Great space - 2 floors with plenty of seating both at the bar, tables, booths. Lots of old wood - so it's rustic and industrial vibe. Food. Food is outstanding! Everything is delicious - you can get your own meal, or you can go tapas style and share of bunch of bites. Great concept. Highly recommend the spaghetti squash - it's a special, so not always on the menu. Eggs Benedict were great, too! Service is always great! Highly recommend this spot next time you're looking for brunch. You won't regret it!

This may be a bold take, but Maxie's isn't the best shrimp & grits in Milwaukee. They are way better here! We also had the monkey bread, my husband had a tenderloin Benedict, and my son had pancakes. The building itself is really cool - used to be a firehouse. And the service was exceptional. We came on Sunday during peak brunch without reservations and the hostess thought creatively and found a way to squeeze us in earlier than initially expected. Our server was super nice and sweet to our toddler, and when we forgot the diaper bag inside, one of the employees (all of whom were so patient with our toddler on the stairs) chased us across the street in the rain and brought it to us! Farm to table deliciousness!

What a great menu. Everything here is farm to table and is organized by "field" (plant based ish) or "pasture" (meat). The table got an array of dishes and we were all impressed with the dishes. The patio was a great shady spot!

We chose Engine Company No. 3 for our brunch because it had great reviews AND it was clear from their website that they take COVID-19 safety seriously! And we were delighted on all fronts. First and foremost, we felt safe and taken care of the entire meal! Thank you for taking your safety, and the safety of your customers, seriously! Other restaurants should take pointers from ya'll! Second, the patio seating was gorgeous, comfortable, green, and spacious! We thoroughly loved that we were able to make RESERVATIONS and that we had a comfortable and relaxing dining experience. Plus the staff were delightful and friendly! Definitely a community-friendly dinning experience! Third, and most importantly, the food and drink were DIVINE! We each got a drink to start. I got the pomegranate mimosa. It was so perfectly a balance of sweet and bitter! My friend got a Bloody Mary and loved it! My husband got a beer from the excellent beer selection! For food, we decided to share three different main courses and LOVED it! The quiche Lorraine was amazing! Everything was house made, fresh, and decadent! The tres lèche French toast was INCREDIBLE! The flavors were perfect! And since we shared, we didn't feel overwhelmed by sweetness. Perfect! The pork belly on garlic mashed potatoes was the biggest hit. The meat melted in your mouth and was perfectly balanced by the flavorful and creamy mashed potatoes. I could have eaten the entire plate three times, it was so great! In summary, Engine Company No. 3 has won our hearts, bellies, and safety-conscious minds! Thank you and we look forward to visiting again in the future!

The fact that this place was not packed absolutely shocks me. It was our favorite spot for brunch (and maybe even food in general) of the trip! Brunch tapas is GENIUS and makes me wish there were places like this everywhere we go. I may just be a sucker for an old refurbished building, the space is just so neat. They did such a great job of honoring the history of the building while still updating it to this amazing place. The food was phenomenal. If we didn't live in the Chicagoland area, we would be regulars here for sure. Start with the monkey bread. Just do it. We loved all 3 of dishes, especially the duck confit rice and the sope. At the time of our visit, they also had some delicious coffee options with I believe local roasters. 10/10 would recommend eating here!

We had an amazing brunch at Engine Company No. 3, a partner to the excellent La Merenda, a couple blocks away. Of course, dining with great friends makes every meal taste better. With an eclectic breakfast menu, there's something that will appeal to everybody on the extensive menu. The space is huge, we ate upstairs, and our charming server Victoria, had to schlep things up the stairs to keep us watered and fed. Despite the size of Engine Company No. 3, it was packed on a Sunday at ten in the morning. The bar did not have a seat empty, and Bloody Mary's were lined up, ready for battle. It's Milwaukee.

This is my new favorite breakfast spot in the city!! Reserved ahead of time as it is a very popular establishment. The food is served in smaller portions but for two people who want to try multiple dishes it perfect! The sticky bun pancakes are a must! Will certainly come again!

I love their new tapas concept. I tried engine co when they were serving their old menu and it really wasn't for me - they were unable to accommodate changes/requests and the food was just ok. They did a completely revamp and the food and menu now is delicious! I'm not sure about the special requests this time, as we didn't ask. We ordered coffee drinks and tapas. The vanilla latte was delicious. We ordered empanadas, quiche, and patatas bravas. The food was delicious, however the bussers started to clear the table before we were even close to finished. We had half a quiche left and it was grabbed it off the table so quickly and already in her hands when asked if we were finished. It felt like we were being rushed out and we weren't even asked about a box when the initial plate was cleared. I would definitely suggest asking customers if they're done or would like a box before grabbing plates off. We'll definitely be back as the expansive menu looked amazing and the food itself was delicious. Perhaps the busser was new or having an off day. Our server was great tho.

Went here for for breakfast. It was excellent got the monkey bread French toast and meat lovers omelette all were delicious. The service was great our waitress Makiah was exceptional she was on top of everything and super friendly

Very cute place to get brunch! I decided to sit at the bar and there wasn't too much of a wait around 2pm on a Saturday. I ordered the pancakes and they were phenomenal! The bartenders were very nice and accommodating. I would definitely come back!

The food was outstanding. It was served in a tapas style and we shared them all. My favorite was the Patacon con Huevo but all were good. I'd highly recommend the food and staff. Will definitely want to come back next time I am in town.

Though it's been quite some time since I visited Engine Company in person, we recently did take out for brunch and it was just as good as I remembered! As vegetarians, we often find that there are only a few items to choose from on the menu making it a fairly easy task. But we actually had a hard time narrowing it down, since there are so many unique and intriguing veg options here! So we went for multiple dishes to share and so glad we did. Everything we ordered was delicious and not your typical eggs and potatoes type brunch. There's clearly a lot of thought put into every dish. As for ordering for a curbside pickup, it went as smooth as can be! We easily ordered online from my husbands phone. We arrived at the time it said it would be ready, called to say we were there and someone was right out with the food. And it was still nice and warm when we got it home. I have a feeling we will be ordering here more often now!

Our waiter at dinner recommended we try this place out for brunch and it sure didn't disappoint!! We love the tapas style/farm to table & it being an old fire house sure didn't hurt my man's feelings. He's been a FF for 17 years now. The food was excellent, as were the drinks. Each picture states what we had. There isn't a single thing I'd order differently. It was a great boozy brunch!!! We like to get up and go have a boozy brunch, then go back to our hotel, nap & get a late check out!

Yum! Had been here for a lunch once before on a weekday, but stopped in recently for a lunch with the fam. I got an Irish coffee to drink which was quite good. We got three dishes to share between the 3 of us - the pork belly, the veg crepes, and the tres leche french toast. The pork belly was soooo savory and delicious. I will say, one of the pieces was perfect (the one I ate! haha) and the other was a bit too fatty. Very tasty regardless. The veggie crepes were filled with a mushroom mix and were also quite good. The tres leches french toast was a standout - a really light coconutty whipped butter (??) was just sweet enough and not over the top. On top of that, we all ate for ~$50 which is really not bad at all for 2 adults and 1 kid. Will keep this place in mind when I'm in the area!

Old fire station that still has some charm. The few artifacts on the wall I've only seen pictures of. Awesome actually seeing them. Service was excellent. Special requests were easily handled and the server's suggestions were very helpful. The food. All options sounded great. The few I tried were above any expectations. Definitely on my "go here again!" list.

A unique setting that has been well preserved and sports the history of the Engine Company No.3. If you are looking for a new taste on breakfast- give this your support local attention. It was delish! It also was good to see a full staff presence!

Service was nice. Although the crepes were amazing, the other food we tried was average, especially considering the price. The eggs were funky, so we had them sent back and got two more eggs, one of which was still off. We still got charged for the eggs. I think we were also expecting larger sausages, especially when it says "local" on the menu. Instead, they kind of tasted like your typical frozen breakfast sausages. Needed more per serving, when you're charging $3.5 per order if sausages.

I had my last visit here yesterday. This had been in my top 5 best brunch spots previously. Food was excellent and service was good. I won't be returning due to: 1) I don't enjoy brunch being served tapas style. My dining companion's food came out first with a large gap before my food. I love tapas, but not as the first meal of the day. 2) I don't care for everything now being a la carte. I had the quiche which used to come with a side salad. Now it's served alone. I'd actually be fine to spend more and have a full brunch meal. I miss your old traditional brunch style. You still have great food, but you lost me as a customer with this format.

Went here the other day for breakfast this was my first time here. We tried a few months back but the wait was so crazy we decided not to bother with it. So I'm happy to finally make it inside to enjoy breakfast, And i must admit i like it, the portion i got was a lot which is always a plus if you are hungry. I like the feel and look of the inside didn't stay for long only had breakfast, Will have to be updated soon....

I love tapas but Brunch tapas is not something I've tried. This place does not disappoint. The Peppermint mocha, the coffee and the chai all were great choices. Quiche Lorraine was delicious. Cilantro Rice was delicious addition to the eggs and plantains. We can't wait to go back to try the Pulled Pork Benedict that the table near us (but not too near!) had gotten. All COVID protocols were taken seriously and we felt very comfortable and confident at Engine!

I enjoyed this place and will be back! We ate at the bar but next time I'd like to eat at the tables. There is an upstairs to but I didn't go up there. I had the quiche Lorraine and a chai latte which were both super good. Social distancing is in effect. Prices for food is very reasonable too.

How does this place only have 4 stars? The food hits every time. Worth the price. Service is bomb. Vibes are immaculate. Not just the best brunch spot in Milwaukee, but the best food spot. Give them your money!!!!! P.S. portions are FINE. Please google what "tapas" means before getting mad. Not that hard to understand lol

Fun brunch for a group with similar tastes. As long as you know what to expect - small plates meant for sharing - I think this place is great. The atmosphere is lovely, there's plenty of space and the staff was very attentive. I typically dislike small plate dining because, as a vegetarian, I get less food, but pay the same as everyone when sharing, but my group was able to split a bunch of items here and they were all great. The quiche was my favorite. the crepes were good, but only if you got the right amount of everything in a bite. It's a tough dish to split four ways. We were asked to leave while chatting after we had finished eating (but were still enjoying drinks) because there was a long wait at the door. I get it, but we were definitely bummed and would like to have stayed for more drinks. I'd go again if the conditions were right.

Engine Company No. 3 offers up beautifully flavorful entrees and rich coffee in a quirky, fun environment. The restaurant is situated in a renovated firehouse and they've kept the decor in keeping with the firehouse theme. There's a vintage safety net on the wall, an old firehose at the bar, and a fire ladder hangs on the wall--you get the picture. It's just enough thematic decor to make it charming, without going overboard. They pride themselves in serving fresh, sustainable, and locally sourced food. And, they do it well. I've been on a few occasions now and have been completely pleased with all my choices. Standouts include the quiche lorraine (buttery, cheesy deliciousness) and their meat omelet. Their omelets come with smoky red potatoes. They have the most marvelous smoky flavor and a sprinkling of sea salt. They're to die for. Seriously. I wasn't sure what to expect, but they are out-of-the-world delicious. They have a full espresso bar (in addition to a full bar of liquor, beer, and wine of course) and make a decadently delicious mocha. The service is friendly and accommodating. Oh! And, we went with a friend who is gluten free and their menu is wonderfully labeled with their gluten free options (and there's plenty!). Get to it!

I went here with two friends visiting Milwaukee from Chicago. The dishes were an epic break from the Milwaukee norm of sausages and cheese curds. Flavorful, affordable options with global flare. Ample vegetarian options. Dishes are on the smaller side and best when shared. We made a reservation in advance and had no wait time or issues when we arrived. Tables are socially distanced and separated by standing, makeshift walls. Staff wears masks and hand sanitizer was available.

Wow wow wow. This place rocks!!!! Such fun and flavorful options. Got the Cajun shrimp.... so amazing. The spicy bloody Mary's are also one of the best I have ever had. They have cold brew on tap, and lots of street parking. The outdoor area is nice too!

Awesomely Delicious! The staff are super friendly and attentive. This is an amazing place to have brunch. I Love how the old fire house is converted into an eatery. Parking is limited tho, just street parking and very, very small parking spaces located in the back of the building. Very good eats

I'm kind of fascinated by brunch for some reason. It's definitely a "thing" in Milwaukee, perhaps owing to Milwaukeeans' unapologetic combined loves of food and day drinking. The food is important, but half the point is essentially "fancy people watching." I had been to Engine Company No. 3 once before and decided to come again to indulge in some food and fancy people watching before finding a spot to watch the Packer game. I remember the food being good before. The ambiance is sophisticated but casual. Service has been hit or miss but it the misses seemed like they could be chalked up to being busy. Today I went at was probably a peak time and had to settle for the seat by the door. It was still, as they say, better than a sharp stick in the eye, and I had just been patting myself on the back for being acclimated enough to Wisconsin that I don't think 29 degrees is really all that cold. But let that door open and shut a few times and I kind of changed my tune. Close the door! It took me a few minutes to get my water, but I got my food before my neighboring patrons did, and they sat down before me. The food is good. There are some unique dishes that you don't find on menus everywhere. I've had the Patacon Con Huevo and really liked it. It's smashed plantains, beans, rice, and eggs. It's deceptively simple and filling. Today I had the veggie omelette and it was good too, but I think I prefer the Patacon. I generally try not to eat pork, but the sausage dishes I saw other people getting did look good. So if you're into that, check it out. My Bloody Mary was good too. It had a slight kick to it and some kind of interesting seasoning I couldn't quite put my finger on. It was less ornately garnished than some other Bloodies in town, but I'm fine with that. The best part is that the prices are really pretty reasonable. The most expensive entree at brunch is $15. I'll have to make an excuse to stop in Walker's Point more often.

We lucked into seats at the bar as the place was very busy for Saturday brunch. I started off with a spicy bloody with a high life chaser. The bloody was fantastic with just the right amount of heat and great flavor. We both ordered the Utrain breakfast. The potatoes and eggs and chorizo were fantastic. Unfortunately the chicken breast was well done and very dry. The service was very goo. Overall a very good breakfast! We will be back again.

Solid brunch spot. We had reservations for a group of 9 + a baby for Sunday at 10:30. Our table was right in the center and the garage (?) door of the fire station was wide open on a beautiful spring morning. We were seated right away and promptly greeted by our server. We ordered some bloody Mary's, mimosas, and beers. They don't have any beers on tap, but they have a good bottle selection. I had a Bloody Mary, which came with typical veggie garnishes and a high life chaser. I enjoyed it but it I don't think it competes with other bloody Mary's in Milwaukee. For brunch, a lot of people ordered the patacon con chorizo and loved it. Very hearty looking. I tried the chorizo and it was more of a sweet sausage. The texture of the plantain was a little too tough. My go-to brunch item is anything with smoked salmon, and Engine Co. had 2 dishes I could choose from. Our server recommended the Benedict, which comes with bernaise sauce and a side salad. The Benedict was good- the eggs were poached just right, and the sauce was tasty, but there could have been more salmon on it. Overall, I think everyone enjoyed their meals, and said they would return. Our server was very friendly, helpful, and kind in taking care of several checks. I would probably come back during mm next trip to Wisconsin just to try some of their sweet dishes! They sound amazing!

I was very excited to try this restaurant today. We had a party of 8 and were unable to make a reservation online even a few days in advance. So We figured we would be waiting for a while. When we checked in they told us 1.5 hours. I was fine with that, knowing we were here without a reservation and especially because there is a nice bar upstairs. After 90 minutes passed, the host came up and told us that they were unable to seat us downstairs and they were going to just serve us at the table we were sitting at in the bar. Ok, even though that could have been done sooner we were fine with that. Another 15 minutes passed and no one had come to the table. So, we flagged down a waitress only to be told that she knew nothing about us being in her section. She was extremely apologetic and friendly and was the only saving grace for this brunch. The "fun" continued as they brought our party of 8 (starving by now) one order of monkey bread (which was tasty). The look on everyone's face (including the server) was one of shock because it was as if they thought we going to have our appetites satisfied by the one monkey bread. The food was just ok. We had a variety of dishes amongst the group and the best comment that was made was that the roasted baby potatoes were good. I had the omelette special of the day, which was a bbq pulled pork omelette. The bbq sauce didn't have much flavor and the pork was overly wet (not with bbq sauce, though, it was as if the pork had been sitting in a bucket of water before they put it in the omelette.) I did enjoy the roasted potatoes though. The hubby and I also split the Maple Honey French toast. It was in my opinion, just standard French toast. There was a light taste of honey, but not as much as expected based on the name of the dish. I didn't taste any maple At all until I added syrup. In the end, they did have good customer service by way of our server. She was able to get our brunch drinks and monkey bread comped in addition to a 15% discount. Overall, though, this is the first new place we've tried for brunch in a long time and it was a disappointment. I don't see us or any of the group that was there today going back In the future.

Fantastic brunch, and such a cute little place! Love all of the fire truck red accents they have in this adorable two story building. The food is VERY good, and offers a wide variety of food from brunch basics to one of a kind dishes. I had the pork belly crepes with the crispiest breakfast potatoes you could imagine. The dish is savory, yet has a maple syrup drizzled over the crepes- almost similar to a "chicken and waffles" type of dish! It was a 10/10, full of flavor and cooked to perfection! Service was prompt, but there was a 45 minute wait when we got there around 11. Thankfully, they have great coffee with free refills, and a lounge area upstairs

I recently finished my long overdue review of Graze in Madison and ECN3 is a menu that I won't soon forget. I forgot our server's name, but in speaking with her, we didn't know the background of the establishment and was pleasantly surprised to find out the owners are none other than Peter and Sonja of Le Merenda (where we just had dinner the night before). Same head chef (Sandroni) which explains the unique global palette inspired menu that amazed our taste buds! Back to their mission: '...providing the freshest, sustainable, locally sourced food and drink at a great value.' Yes, yes, yes, and yes...accomplished. Everybody has their own tastes, opinions and perceived values. You may not agree with me and that's okay but I try to be objective in these reviews. The restaurant is a renovated firehouse in the Third Ward District with outdoor seating. Overflow seating/waiting area/banquet hall on second floor equipped with a separate bar. Just walk in, packed with patrons and take a deep breath and you will want to sit down to eat. Space is limited so make reservations or sit a relax because it is worth it. There are gluten free options all indicated with *gf on the menu. We had the Lamb and Duck Omelet (special) $12, Patacon con Huevo y Chorizo (Colombia) $11, with Engine Co. Bloody Mary (which is a must with the beet and pickle garnish). Value? The portions were plenty. To me, high value for farm sourced ingredients packed with flavors that is globally inspired.
