The 9 Best Hostels in Paris (Updated 2025)

"This basic, affordable hostel in Montparnasse feels more local with lots of nearby restaurants, bars and supermarkets and is convenient for early/late trains since it’s close to Montparnasse station. It has a large, newly renovated guest kitchen and a quiet atmosphere; if you arrive early try for a top bunk because the bottom bunks have very little headspace." - Matthew Kepnes

This was the first ever hostel I've stayed at and it was great experience. My friend group (2 girls and me) booked a 4 dorm accommodation and they actually placed us in a 3 bed room which was great! The room was a bit small so I bet it'd be a bit strange if I had shared it with 2 randos. There were lockers in the room (need to bring your own lock) and a bathroom which was quite clean, they even provided shower gel. We also got a room on the very top level of the building and the view was so cute. The stairs were a lot lol but overall a great experience and the staff/reception were lovely folks. The location seemed very safe and close to the metro! 10/10 recommend

The location is good near to the Eiffel Tower. Near to metro Station. The room was clean and bathroom also clean. But the smell from the drainage leak to the room. And the heater is not working. The room was too cold to sleep. You have to cover your head to keep yourself warm and fall asleep. Suggest to check the heater.

This hostel is really nice! Rooms and bathrooms are clean, the service is great, there is a kitchen to prepare your meals (no hotplate though). It’s in a really good district, not too far from the Eiffel Tower or Latin district. In addition it’s so cheap for Paris, I recommend 100%

My stay at Enjoy Hostel Paris was decent overall. The experience was fairly average, but it met the basic needs for a short stay. One helpful detail for future guests: if you're looking for a place to charge your phone, there’s a USB port conveniently located right beneath the bed lamp. This small feature came in handy during my visit.

I came in for a very last minute check in. Service is excellent, the receptionist is very friendly. Rooms are clean and smell clean. Beds are comfortable and the rooms are really nice. I had a 2 bunk-bed woman’s room. The private bathroom I was very spacious. I’m very happy of my stay and would 100% recommend!

If I could give zero stars, I would. I mistakenly booked this property on Booking.com and cancelled immediately after realizing the error. Unfortunately, it was listed as non-refundable. I reached out multiple times via email to explain the situation, but they flatly refused to offer any flexibility or refund, despite the cancellation being made right away. Extremely disappointing customer service — a clear lack of understanding or goodwill.

I have been traveling for soo many years and can say this is the worst hostel to stay. Check-in took soo much time. There was too much noise in the room from the drainage pipes all night . The toilet seat was very small the shower drainage was blocked. We didn’t even got towels . They said it’s finished. We stayed there only 1 night, worst night in Paris.

Arrived late on July 16th at 8:00 am after a transcontinental flight and was told I couldn't check-in until 3:00 pm despite prior notification of my late arrival. The staff was unhelpful and arrogant, forcing me to leave my luggage unattended in a locker room without even the option to freshen up. Given my jetlag, I wasn't in the best state to explore the city without a chance to rest or change. When I returned at the designated check-in time and decided to cancel my reservation due to the poor service, I was met with resistance and blamed for not staying. It's unacceptable that the staff couldn't accommodate my reasonable needs or provide a more flexible solution. The accommodation itself was average for the price, but the staff's attitude was the deal-breaker. I'd advise others to be aware of the strict check-in times and potential lack of flexibility. Unfortunately, I'll be taking my business elsewhere and exploring options for a refund. The staff in question needs a serious attitude adjustment. 🔥🚫
