I was in today, shopping for a gift for my nephew. Mary was extremely rude. As soon as we got in, we were looking for a card and she was blocking the entire card section for almost 10 minutes, Straightening the cards and she could tell I was trying to look. Due to the wait I gave my two-year-old a few Cheerios on the tray of her stroller and she must’ve dropped the bag. Mary came over and made a comment and handed me the bag and I profusely apologized. As we were moving to another section to buy the actual gift She found one more Cheerio on the floor and loudly exclaimed “ Well, I guess I’m just gonna keep picking these up all day and rolled her eyes at me” When I asked her for her name, she was reluctant to give it. I manage a boutique in the city of Chicago and have for 10+ years And I have actually sent clients to your store before. I understand that retail jobs are stressful, but there is absolutely no reason to be rude to a customer in this way. If she wouldn’t have been blocking the cards for so long, I wouldn’t have even needed to give my daughter a snack. Or she could’ve politely told me that there is no food allowed in the store if that is the policy. Extremely disappointed in this experience and would give zero stars if I could. I have never written a negative review before, but felt compelled after my experience with Mary today.
