If you’re looking for a hipper breakfast spot, try Eno in the Polanco neighborhood, Enrique Olvera’s (Pujol) more laid-back breakfast and lunch spot.

This spot is usually super busy, and I’d been wanting to check it out for a while. We went around 10 a.m. on a Friday and got a table right away. The concha pastry was amazing—make sure to warm it up; it’s way better that way!

Tasty Mexican eggs and fresh handmade tortillas. Excellent tasting coffee.

I was gonna give it a 4 o 5. The food is good, service friendly and efficient and great atmosphere. Also well situated in the Polanco'ish area. All was great until I got the bill. They charged an extra croissant, fine no problem it can happen. But then I saw that when you order a dish, then they charge you extra for ingredients. They did over most dishes we ordered. At the end the bill was very high. So, it leaves you with a bad taste. I even had my PA call them to make sure it was not a mistake.

Relaxed environment. Great service. Delicious food. Catch of the Day - 5/5 Torta de Higos - 5/5 Fig tarts are one of my favorite desserts and Eno has a very tasty one. The catch of the day was delicious. Light and buttery fish with a tasty sauce. Service is great. Nice spot to relax and work from or just have a meal.

Google
The coffee is great, but their sandwich and soup is meh…Mexican soup never disappoints me, until this one. Food is so blend….and they only gave me stamp card when they see me start going to other coffee shop…I don’t really like this.

Google
Walked past this place many times since our hotel is very near. Decided to try out for breakfast on Monday morning. At 9:30 a.m . As I tried to order, waitresses informed me that no items with ham were available. We opted for a different place that day. We returned a couple of days later. I ordered chilaquiles with chicken, and my wife had chorizo with eggs. Everything is separate, slices of avocado, extra , beans extra. No salsa , no ketchup, not even salt or pepper. Nickel and dime to death for an average breakfast . 40 usd for a bare bones breakfast . I would never ever go back. There are so many options in the area, I'm angry at myself for giving them a try...

Cool vibe and good (but not excellent) food. The huevos rancheros was good but not packed full of flavour. Relatively expensive for the quality of food received.

Google
‘Below Average’ was the theme of my meal. Only plus was Dog friendly outside (not sure inside). Service was below average, food took 35 minute for an omelette and fruit…, and my second espresso took 25 minutes. Omelette was cold and the cheese had not melted at all.

Yelp
On to some amazing places I ate at in Mexico City! The first place I went to to was @eno_mx and it was the perfect place to start my food journey. I opted for their omelette and added chorizo on it. The sauce that comes with the omelette is so full of flavor. I loved dragging it through and also incorporating the sauce they include on the table. I noticed (and loved) that it is standard that restaurants include their own sauces for the table. They vary in spice but I didn't taste a single one from my entire trip that I didn't like. I also got an iced coffee and a vanilla concha bread. This bread was AMAZING. Light, fluffy but still had textural contrast with the top cracklin texture. It was such beautiful space and I definitely recommend adding this spot onto your MX City trip! 4.5/5

Yelp
My family ate here in December 2022. It is located on the first floor of Museo de Arte Moderna (Museum of Modern Art) in CDMX. They are across the road from Museo Soumaya. My sister included this on our list of restaurants to visit because we unfortunately could not get a reservation at Pujol. Since it was the holiday, the museum and thus the restaurant was very busy. We were eventually seated, and each chose a dish off the menu. I was not impressed by any of the entrees I tried. Even the horchata I ordered was passable. The location can't be beat, though!

Yelp
We went probably 4 times on vacation. The chocolate concha was exceptional but you can't go wrong. We struggled through our spanglish & the team was smiling and supportive -it was a popular local spot.

Yelp

Yelp
Eno is the best. It became our home base. Food is delicious and thoughtful for all, our kiddos loved it, we loved it. We ended up eating here almost every morning we were in CDMX. They have a perfect margarita. The service is so friendly and accommodating, and the general vibe is wonderful. Highly recommend.

Yelp
We had a great brunch at Eno--it's more on the "upscale" side compared to street tacos and tamales. They have classic American brunch dishes, as well as Mexican brunch options, and a great ambiance. We had chia seed pudding, egg sandwich, ham and cheese croissant, French toast, side of avocado and esquite, lattes/coffees, and everything came out to about $65USD (including tax and tip). Would definitely recommend if you are in the area! We arrived around 10:30am on a Monday, didn't have a reservation, and were able to be immediately seated.

Yelp
Huevos al gusto is a bit bland. It definitely needed salsa and spice. Licuado de mamey is good The fruit (papaya, mango, blackberry) is AMAZING. It's been a long time since I've had mangoes that fresh. The food is pricier than food you would normally get in Mexico.

Yelp
Yum! I walked by this place one day and it was so full of locals enjoying brunch I made a mental note to come back. My friend and I came here last weekend to check it out. They don't have reservations available to What I could see but we put our names on the list and we're seated outdoor per our request in 20-30 min. I ordered the omelette and my friend ordered the huevos rancheros. The omelette itself was pretty ordinary, but the green sauce it came in, was delicious while not very spicy. It was soooo good I found myself scooping it up by itself even when the food was done. The huevos rancheros however looked watery and my friend did not like them, which is why I dinged a star.
google avatar

Yelp
Wow, this experience was so disappointing. I ordered the chilaquiles and they are bland and watery. I left most of my meal uneaten. I can't believe I wasted my only brunch experience during my latest trip to Mexico City on Eno.

Yelp
The food was incredible! Such a quaint little restaurant with amazing authentic Mexican food.... Apparently this was the same chef as Pujol which is a Michelin rated restaurant. I highly recommend it!
google avatar

Aditi J.

Yelp
I don't think words can express how much we loved having a hearty, delicious brunch of coffee, bread and Chilaquiles at Eno almost every day on our trip to Mexico City. They have delicious freshly baked breads every morning. Their guacomole was simple yet so refreshing like all other things on the menu. Highly recommend this place if you're staying in Polanco!

Yelp
Great lively spot for breakfast. Place was full by 9am, had to only wait a few minutes for a table. Lots of seating indoors and out, staff was super nice and helpful. Also the place seems to be dog friendly as there were lots of pups inside. There are outlets to work, but it's very vibrant and not quiet so I wouldn't suggest this as a place to work. I'd recommend getting the huevos ranchero they were excellent! I got the omelette which was average which came in this green sauce which was not spicy just light and was nice. Latte was average as well but came with a mini cookies which was really wonderful. I'd ask if they have a full size of that cookie! They had milk options but not flavors like vanilla.
google avatar

Andrea N.

Yelp
Had the huervos rancheros and it was delicious! Would definitely recommend. The staff was very attentive and answered all of our questions. We wanted to sit inside but it was full by 930am (Sunday) so we sat outside. It was still nice even though it was chilly

Yelp
BEST. ENCHILADAS. EVER. Amazing service with super friendly staff. And the chilaquiles were also bomb. Spent the weekend in CDMX and after stopping by various popular restaurants, Eno stuck out for sure. Our server also gave us a corn pastry to try that was black. Not really sure what it was called but it was seriously amazing. I still dream about that pastry bc I love anything that's corn. Anywho, def check this place out you won't regret it! They take rezzies

Yelp
I came here for breakfast. The chia pudding was ok. The sweet bread was decent. The matcha latte was not good at all.

Yelp
Ahhhh I love Eno! It is actually owned by Pujol's chef and they have some awesome things on their menu! My favorite (by far) is the molletes... it's basically bread with beans and cheese on top. It sounds way less exciting than the amazing taste it has! I also loved the avocado egg toast for breakfast. Lastly, all their juices are excellent. Must try in CDMX.

rafael g.

Yelp
What can I say about Eno that hasn't been said already, it was deliciously simple with excellent service. This trip was my consolation prize to not being able to secure a reservation at Pujol and that's okay. I started off with some bottled water and a glass of fresh squeezed grapefruit juice. Next up was the Huevos rancheros with chicken, so simple and drowning in Salsa, the avocado and herbs really bring the dish together and help keep the salsa from taking over, simple yet so flavorful. This is elevated comfort food done right, just high quality ingredients that remind you of a classic dish but brought together with a skilled hand. Finished my breakfast with a cafe de olla and it was another perfect morning in Mexico City. I had a very pleasant experience at Eno and will be back when I'm back in Mexico City.

Yelp
-The service was fast and polite. -The food was very fresh and healthy! -Plenty of seating. -Very cozy and inviting! FOOD Brioche with jam- the bread was perfectly flaky and fresh! Omelet of 4 cheeses with nopales (cactus) and guacamole. Tasted incredibly fresh and healthy. The nopales were very crisp! It was exactly what we wanted. All egg whites too! Eggs with salsa and cheese- this was so comforting. It was warm and hit the spot. Cappuccino- excellent Overall, we had a great time here and it was everything we needed to get started on a busy day!

Yelp
Can't begin to explain how excited I am that this is close to my new neighborhood in the Polanco. I have been wanting to try this place for a while. What a great neighborhood cafe/restaurant. Fantastic attention to detail, great atmosphere and fantastic sustainable, seasonal food. So delicious. The service is fantastic and friendly. Their iced Café de olla served with almond milk and an orange slice won me over, I have dreamt about it 3 nights in a row. The ceviche was clean and fresh, not swimming in pool of acidic juices, thumbs up, and the Molletes de tres quesos (manchego de oveja, cabra, quesillo), also a great little snack bursting with flavor. Great people, great food and a beautiful neighborhood to enjoy looking out upon while enjoying your food. Won't disappoint

Yelp
Items Selected: Americano Café con Crema Cinnamon Roll Financier Basket of Tajin Potato Chips Molletes with Sheep's Manchego, Creamy Goat Cheese and Hard Cow's Cheese plus Salsa and Pico de Gallo Fried Organic Chicken Torta, Lettuce, Guacamole, Tomato and Mayonnaise French Toast, Strawberries, Agave Nectar Vanilla Flan with Caramel Corn Cake with Clotted Cream Cubilete with Raspberry Jam Owned by Enrique Olvera and located next to the original Pujol, Eno sees Mexico's most famous Chef abandon his nouveau Mexican tasting men in exchange for something more humble and straight forward, a three meal space focused on classic Street Foods and Tortas that remains busy as ever, the 9am start for Brunch on weekends a best-of-the-best for those who want to see the widest variety of choices. Usually open at 7am on Weekdays, the early morning menu largely involving several styles of Eggs, Breads and Pastries, it was after a brief visit to gather provisions at a local bakery that two diners were sat at one of the few remaining two-tops just a few moments after the restaurant opened its door, a triangular clapboard on the outside soon listing the names of more than ten parties of various size ready and waiting. Long, narrow and with dated plumbing throughout, a bar at the back offering take-away Rolls and Coffee or Tea, it was with an all-Spanish menu in hand that one of three young female servers approached the table just a few minutes after seats were taken, the service far more hurried than that of its more famous sibling as English was only offered to a very limited degree. Happy to see a menu that is clear, concise but inclusive, the Tortas and Molletes obviously quite popular as they were ordered by diners on both sides, it was with a duo of Pastries plus two Coffees and a large basket of Sour and Spicy Potato Chips that the meal got underway, Olvera's Cinnamon Roll a small not featuring good lamination and a golden, crunchy shell overlying an interior riddled with Cinnamon and Sugar while the oddly placed Financier met or exceeded the standard set by those in France with a soft center of Almond Flour almost super-saturated in Butter. Taking a step back from the ambient American soundtrack of Pujol and instead better fitting the menu to upbeat Mexican classics, proper plates were delayed perhaps twenty minutes thanks to an ongoing crunch of patrons that would not stop until well after a departure just past 10:20, the Fried Organic Chicken Torta offering pounded Breast from a Brine with delicate coating on a flaky Bun while the "Molletes" seemed almost like a mix between French Bread Pizza and an open-face Grilled Cheese Sandwich with the blend of three different beasts Milk served atop refried Beans with sides of Salsa and Pico de Gallo for dipping. Unfortunately not living up to the high standard set by Lalo! for French Toast, the dipped and griddled Bread not bad but also not a Custard-laden masterpiece like that of Eduardo Garcia, better bites were found from a Dessert menu that again focused on rustic refinement, Vanilla Flan in a Jar floating in a Caramel Puddle while the tender Corn Cake was almost as light as Japanese Tamago next to a small bowl of Clotted Cream, the Cubilete far more dense and savory than those found at a local bakery, the 65 Peso pricepoint certainly not a bad deal when taking into account the all-Butter Crust and smooth filling meant to be enjoyed with fresh Raspberry puree.

Yelp
Every dish was extremely underseasoned. It's as if the cooks had never heard of salt. The ingredients they used here especially the stale bread were below Denny's quality. Save your money and get out of Polanco and eat literally anywhere else. By far the most disappointing meal on my trip to Mexico City.
google avatar

Valeria S.

Yelp
Very good place for breakfast! Definitely get their cafe de olla cold brew, add a little milk and be ready for a yummy caffeine kick. Their tamal is VERY good and a must have as are their chilaquiles!
google avatar

Janet V.

Yelp
Molletes are life and Eno is THE place to get some of the best ones! They are made with bolillo bread (French baguette type of shape and taste) as the base, a light sliver of refried beans and cheese - lots and lots of cheese - that is melted and crisped in the oven as the top layer. You can then add some some savory pico de gallo for the best breakfast dish in the area. The mollete is also shareable as it comes with two very long pieces. Eno not only delivers on food, but also on causal ambience in a rustic-ish setting filled with lots of wood tables and seating. They are typically packed on any given weekend morning with groups of friends, families and couples alike. It is a great vibe! The service is attentive and kind and your order comes out quick.
google avatar

Lucy S.

Yelp
Had the french toast. It was good. Loved the orange juice. There can be a wait depending what time you go. They let people bring their dogs in. No free refils.

Sam S.

Yelp
I will never set foot here again. Long wait times for terrible food. I almost broke a tooth eating their chicken sandwich. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Andrea D.

Yelp
One day we will return post-Covid times. I love attempting to try all the Olvera establishments. This was out best coffee experience by far. Chai, coffee, and tea were all superb. Perfect ratios. We have tried a lot of watery coffee in Mexico, but this is done correctly. It was a Saturday and it looked crowded from afar, but it went by fast and efficiently.
google avatar

Amy D.

Yelp
Phenomenal food. It's abundantly clear how much they care about the food they're preparing. Slightly more expensive than a normal lunch/sandwich place but nothing crazy. We loved the carnitas de atun (seared tuna) sandwich, it came with amazingly fresh and flavorful peas and butter lettuce. The braised beef sandwich was hearty and full of flavor. Chops came in two varieties, we loved the tangy spicy one. A great spot for lunch, fairly empty at two pm on a Sunday.
google avatar

Maria T.

Yelp
A little bit noisy for my taste but locals say that around 3~4 pm becomes kind of quiet. Good food and great decoration. Cool people
google avatar

Miguel F.

Yelp
Good service and atmosphere; great coffee also btw. But, food is always under seasoned and quite greasy. Go for the sandwiches as a safe option.
google avatar

Mario P.

Yelp
Went in with some friends for a quick dinner. The mixt salad had an absurd amount of cubed chicken which had a rubbery texture, at least a quarter the salad was chicken! We each had tortas and felt we would have had a better meal on any street corner in CDMX. Not what I was expecting from a place with such great reviews.
google avatar

Vai P.

Yelp
By far the best breakfast I have ever had!!!! I had the dos hueve revueltos, ejote, salsa de morita...So, basically scrambled eggs with asparagus (?) drowned in a spicy tomato soup base with black beans and queso ocosingo. Followed that with pan de muerte and hot chocolate. Our server Carlos was excellent! He was very attentive to us. Great area and excellent food! Give it a try..you won't regret this place!!
google avatar

Aimee L.

Yelp
This place has delicious food. Whether it's breakfast, lunch or dinner. It's a casual spot that is inviting. Servers are polite, prices are food and the food tastes fresh. Portion sizes are good and you never leave still hungry. If anything t leaves you wanting more. They are often quite busy so be prepared to wait a little during busy times. This isn't the best place to come with a big stroller so if possible leave it at home. They do have high chairs though. If you're too lazy to get out of the house, you can order their full menu on Rappi & have it delivered to your door for a small price.
google avatar

Saul R.

Yelp
Lovely eatery. Good ambiance. Breakfast (tres huevos revueltos con chorizo) was pretty good, but not great. It needed a bit more flavor and their hot sauce was weak, a big no-no. Seating is mostly communal, so those wanting a table for themselves may be out of luck if the one or two I saw are taken when they visit. Also, large groups may have to get there very early or wait a while for the big table to accommodate them. But it takes 5 stars because of their commitment to sustainable practices. I didn't want a straw because I dislike single-use plastics. But was pleasantly surprised when a paper straw arrived unrequested instead, and without a plastic wrapper. YAY!! A sign in the bathroom also shows how to save water and does it so without being preachy. Recommend.
google avatar

Rodrigo S.

Yelp
Best molletes in CDMX! Pastries are great too! Coffee is fantastic! My favorite breakfast spot! It can get busy, so plan ahead and be patient!

Mary C.

Yelp
Solid neighborhood breakfast spot. Good chilaquiles and various egg dishes. I like the huevos revueltos a la mexicana con chorizo. This place is always packed or has a line. If you are in Polanco, it has a really friendly and buzzy feel with lots of people in and out. A young and hip crowd comes for good breakfast or brunch. The little cookies they give on the side with tea and coffee are delectable.
google avatar

Jenny B.

Yelp
I came for lunch with a group of people. They have communal seating so you can fit a large group. It's a pretty decor, rustic feel. When we arrived, people were still eating breakfast items and they looked delicious. Also, the smells of breads and pastries baking can make your mouth water. The menu is made up of seasonal items so only the freshest items are used. The server was very nice, and since most of us struggled with our Spanish, she was very patient. I got water and a mixed salad, which was good and refreshing. The people I was with got eggs, fresh fruit and a sandwich. All were happy with their choices. The prices were very far. Overall, it was a good experience and I would be happy to go back.
google avatar

Asher L.

Yelp
I am American and I thoroughly enjoyed this place. The food was clean, without oils and very high quality. I had eggs, beans, guacamole and corn tortillas. I ordered them all separately so that I could taste each for it's own worth. And each was amazing. Great service and very affordable (especially with current exchange rates). Highly recommended.

Jenny M.

Yelp
Really wanted to like this place but there were dogs barking everywhere inside and a window cleaner who was spraying the cleaner through the open window landing on my food, and I complained and they closed the window but then a waiter started cleaning the leaves of a plant 6 inches from me and the spray again got in my food.
google avatar

Yelp
We love Eno!!! The first morning of our visit to Polanco we found Eno thanks to the reviews on Yelp. It is fabulous! Excellent coffee, extraordinary service, yummy pastries, and a great breakfast. It was so good we wound up there again for dinner and a drink (delicious and relaxing!) Great atmosphere - everything you're looking for!
google avatar

Michael K.

Yelp
My second time. Amazing food, communal tables. Special...very special !!! The chocolate chip cookie is insane !!!!
google avatar

Michael K.

Yelp
We unfortunately had a lackluster meal, tortas were not on torta rolls, chips were stale, and street corn was watery and bland. Not sure what happened tonight, but we were shocked and expected better. Maybe breakfast is their sweet spot?
google avatar

Mireya C.

Yelp
I've been here twice. The establishment is really nice and cozy. Plenty of seating available (but you might be seated with other people on long tables. Food is ok. You can get the same quality of chilaquiles somewhere else for less money. Went for brunch so I asked for a mimosa, which was like 180 pesos (super expensive for CDMX). I wouldn't have minded if it was good, but it was gross. Not a mimosa! So, don't even order one - not worth spending the money. They don't follow the original recipe of an American mimosa - orange juice and champagne. Instead of using champagne, they use some type of cheap white wine instead. Service is below average, for the price you pay for your meal. Prices are above high, but for Polanco is probably ok. One more thing, they have plenty of seating but is not an intimate setting. Meaning, they will have a long table for 14 people and they just sit all parties on the same table.

Andrea S.

Yelp
Loved this place! I came for breakfast, it was fast and good! The ambience is also very nice. Highely recommended
