Finally made it to Enoshima Shrine Hetsumiya! After battling the August heat and those relentless stairs, reaching this point felt like a true achievement.
This is where the Kessoku Band gathered to offer their prayers, and just a few steps away is the spot where they finally collapsed to rest and eat. Standing here, I can perfectly picture them sitting together, exhausted but happy, sharing that classic Enoshima vibe.
There’s a certain peace at this shrine that makes you forget the climb for a moment. Following their journey from the station to this very courtyard has been an unforgettable experience. It’s the perfect place to wrap up the Bocchi the Rock! chapter of my pilgrimage. Time to find a spot to sit, just like they did, and soak it all in. ⛩️🍦
A pilgrim's reward: After reaching Hetsumiya, you’ll find the same small rest areas and shops where the characters enjoyed their snacks. In the August heat, that first sip of a cold drink or a bite of Tako Senbei (octopus cracker) feels like heaven. It’s not just about the photos anymore—it’s about sharing the same exhaustion and the same relief as the characters we love.
