"Automatic Tasting Tour An enomatic machine in the heart of wine country—what could be better? The largest enoteca in Chianti, this bar encourages experimentation and sampling, thanks to the card-operated, by-the-glass machines; just go slow, as there are over 140 wines available to taste. Pick a couple that stand out to you, or follow a guided “itinerary” through the 13 different tasting sections, which are grouped by type of wine, production region, and type of tasting (such as vertical tastings, or one of just Chianti Classicos by year). Olive oils and sweet wines are also available to sample."

Wow, super unique experience! Since Chianti wineries focus so heavily on red, this method of trying wines breaks up the usual pattern and let's you taste whatever varieties of wines (and grappas and other hard stuff too!) you want. The prices are cheap (Super Tuscan samples for less than 5 EUR!) and soooo many options to choose from, it was a nice break from the usual wine tastings at the wineries. Absolutely brilliant idea with the card, it was like an arcade for adults. Had the whole place to ourselves and was a highlight of our tasting outings in Tuscany.

Loved our experience here. We couldn't get to all the wine farms and so opted to give this place a try. We were not disappointed. Great way to try different wines from various wine farms and regions. You can spend as little or as much as you want because you choose how many wines you want to taste.

Google
Amazing experience of wine testing with nice aperitivo, they give you a card and you can test all the wine you want and pay in the end, we had also a tagliere with formaggi and salumi and it was very good. The staff were very friendly and it was a really authentic experience.

Hidden Gem, worth the short walk from the central piazza to find this amazing huge wine cellar! Huge selection of local wines available to taste by the glass or sip as self serve. And you can pair with their incredible meats from the butcher shop. Also we worked with their very knowledgeable sommelier to ship a case of local wines back to the States. Arrived a few weeks after our trip. All around a great shop!

My friends took me here for my birthday and I absolutely adored it! You get a prepaid card that you slip into different machines to get a taste of the different wines you want to try. We also got a meat and cheese board with crostini - very delicious. Highly recommended!!

Lovely place to visit for any wine lover! We got recommended this place by fellow hotel guests, we couldn't find any info about the prices or the way it works but on good faith we went. The way it works is that you go to the counter, you hand in an ID/driver license as deposit and you receive a card. With the card you can follow the trail of wines that they have around the store. In each section there are multiple bottles and you can select which wine you want to try and which amount. Each bottle has 3 types of amount, a little taste, a medium amount and a bigger glass. Each wine has their own price ranges. See my picture for an example. This way you can make it as cheap or as expensive as you want. The cheapest for a little amount I saw was a port wine for €0.98 and the most expensive for a small taste around €7-8. The staff is very kind and one of them was very knowledgeable and could give good advise. They also have olive oils to try but also a special truffle gin. Lovely store and lovely place to visit for any wine lover or someone looking for a place to try wine without the pressure of an audience or rush. You can totally do it at your own pace and go back and forth between sparkling, red/white/rose, port, vermouth and more. They also have some snacks that you can order. This is were the star deduction from 5 stars to 4 stars comes into play. We ordered a "big" snack platter with some bread, cheeses and cold cuts which was €18.... However, that this is considered big is a bit shocking to me. The added picture is the cheese, cold cuts, honey and some toast. Not included was a bag with some pieces of bread and olive oil. I have had bigger plates for a lower price for sure... This could definitely be improved in my opinion. But on the other hand, we did get to try some wine and limoncello for free so it was balanced out for us, but if someone else didn't get this and paid full price for the plate, it's quite expensive for what you get. Either way, we enjoyed the experience and I do definitely recommend a visit.

Google
What a dream for wine tasting and wine lovers. We went there following again a recommendation from the lovely planet. It was exactly what we were looking for, a place to try so many different wines from the region. System is neat: you have a card and you can try little amount of the wines for few euros. Give you the chance to try more as well as expensive wine for few euros.

Yelp
I had to try this place as it was described to me as 'The heaven of wine bars'. This place lived up to its name! Best way to describe this place is a 'Dave and Busters' approach. You get a prepaid card, anything from 5 euros up to 50 (may go higher, but I didn't ask), or you can leave your credit card with the staff upfront and pay at the end. They have several wine 'vending machines' that you stick the card into and get to try out the wine in various amounts. You can have a sample, half glass, or full glass. The screens will tell you how much each sample will cost. Each 'Vending Machine' is sorted into categories like bubbles, whites, reds, dessert wine, etc. It's a great way to try different wines in various regions! If you like the wine you try, you can buy the bottle to take home. They have big leather couches and chairs to hang out, sip, and relax. Ever try a $100+ bottle of wine? Now is your chance :)

Yelp
Really cool enoteca in Greve where you can sample wines from numerous vending machines. You stop at the desk and get a card that allows you to walk around the shop and sample whatever you choose. They ship worldwide if you are interested. The downside is about 50% of the bottles in the vending machines were empty so there was a limited about for tasting.

Yelp
Why do they not have similar concepts in America? You walk down to the basement and find yourselves in a wine lovers heaven. So many different options of wine to try! Want a Chianti classico? Tons of options! Maybe a super tuscan? Tons! White or rose wine lover? Decent amount of options for you. They even had some grapa to try for the liquor lover! I really loved the ambiance here and that you could try so many expensive bottles of wine for a small price. They have two options here: pre-pay an amount but don't receive any leftover amount back or put a credit card on file and go wild with the tastings. I tried around 15 wines and loved a majority of them!

Yelp
Perfect place to spend an afternoon! I did the prepaid card of 10€ but you can also just use a blank card each time you try a different one and pay at the end.

Yelp
Coming across this establishment was quite a surprise. We were just passing time waiting for another store to open. Glad we found it! The wine cellar feed is great as is the selection of wines. They have a pay as you go wine tasting setup that is automated. We also tried one of the cheese/bread/meat trays. Good value and very tasty! Fully recommend it. Would be a great place to go with a few friends or on a date. I was with wife and daughter and all enjoyed!
