After two children and a 150-pound weight loss, breast modification (and more) had been something I had my eyes on for years. Like many others, I researched extensively and attended multiple consultations across several states. Throughout that process, I developed a list of “must-haves” for the surgeon and practice I would ultimately trust with my body, and I refused to compromise on any of them.
Time and time again, I would find surgeons who checked some of the boxes, but not all. I was unwilling to settle. After years of searching, I finally found Dr. Enrique Hanabergh Jr., and I can honestly say it was worth the wait.
From my first interaction with the coordinator Mary, to the CRNA, the masseuse, the front desk staff, and everyone in between, every single person was amazing. I was always greeted with a smile and treated with kindness and professionalism.
One thing that was particularly important to me was building a relationship with my surgeon before the procedure. I hear far too often about women meeting their surgeon seconds before surgery and barely seeing them afterward. Dr. Hanabergh met with me multiple times before my procedure, which immediately reassured me that I had chosen the right person. My philosophy is simple: if someone does not have the time to sit down and speak with me well before surgery, they have no business altering my body.
Dr. Hanabergh was a pleasant surprise. He is incredibly down-to-earth, humble, and genuinely kind; there is not a pretentious bone in his body. He made himself available and provided his personal cell phone number. On the one occasion I needed to reach out, he responded quickly and handled the situation immediately. There were no multiple transfers, no waiting two business days for a response just direct, prompt communication. That level of accessibility and accountability is rare and greatly appreciated.
Results:
I could not believe how amazing I looked just 24 hours after surgery. Even with swelling, my curves were already popping. He removed all of my stretch marks, ensured I was not left with a half tattoo (thank you for that!), and my belly button looks completely natural and untouched. My contouring is beautiful.
Most impressively, my incision (which I was extremely particular about) looks like it was drawn with a fine-point pen. It is incredibly thin and clean.
Sterility:
The facility was impeccably clean. I am half Jamaican, and islanders are very particular about cleanliness, so impressing me in that category says a lot.
Affordability:
For the procedure and the area, the pricing was competitive. Considering the quality of work, the price was more than reasonable. They also included a complimentary initial garment and three massages which was nice. Additionally, they offer very convenient financing.
Location:
The office location is very accessible and close to everything. Parking was easy, and the short walk from the parking area made follow-up appointments very convenient. My only tip: leave about 20 extra minutes earlier than Waze or Apple Maps suggests. The traffic in this area can be intense, and I’m someone who is rarely late anywhere.
Overall:
I am beyond satisfied with my decision and incredibly grateful that I waited until I found the right surgeon. I traveled all the way from Atlanta for his work, passing over many others just to get to him, and I’m so glad I did!
Ladies, do your research, but during that process, I would absolutely place Dr. Enrique Hanabergh Jr. at the very top of your list.
