Very bad experience.
I bought a short for €120 with a 10% discount. Since it was right after Black Friday, I wasn’t alarmed by this discount, which was also applied to other items. I paid for the shorts, wore them for 5 hours, and the side seams had already come apart, as well as the hem—which turned out to be glued rather than stitched. I wasn’t overly worried, since these things can happen with upcycled or vintage clothing.
I decided to go back to the store to ask if it would be possible to have the garment repaired or at least do something about it. The sales assistants told me they could send it out for repairs, or give me a bit of money so I could get it fixed in my country (I was only passing through Amsterdam). Both options were fine with me, as these things can happen, and once again, I wasn’t panicking.
In the end, they changed their minds and told me that I had paid 10% less than the original price because the item was defective, and that they would not repair it. But when I bought the shorts, there was no visible defect—so how was I supposed to know? Moreover, neither at checkout nor during my discussions with the staff did anyone tell me that the discount was due to a defect or that the item might have issues. This represents a breach of commercial procedure, as I bought these shorts without being explicitly informed that they were “defective.” It is illegal to sell defective products without stating it beforehand.
If you buy something from this store, do not expect any support in case of defects, nor transparency regarding the condition of the products. A shame, especially given the very high prices… :( !
