Great park with lots to offer. Miles of hiking, horseback, and mountain bike trails that often intertwine, giving you the option to make your hike as long or short as you want. I strongly recommend grabbing a map from the visitor center as trail signage could be better. Plenty of well placed benches along the path to take breaks. Clear pathway markers when crossing over the paved road was much appreciated. Only two dedicated picnic areas, one on the lower poe run path and another near the lake. There are lots of cool extras at this park that make it convenient. There's a bike repair and cleaning station, a dog wash station, a wildlife viewing platform, outdoor fitness stations, and a historical bunker display to learn more about the area. The dog park is large and very well maintained. Small and large dogs are not separated, it's one big area for all sizes. The horse trails have trail posts at 1/2 mile increments, only two water troughs on the trail, one right at the entrance and the other near the 7 mile mark. There's a disc golf course located here as well, I haven't been personally but the map states it's 18 holes. I would expect it's also well maintained based on the rest of the park.

Google
Phenomenonal mountain biking trails for beginners and anyone desiring a "non-technical" ride. We did 10+ miles. The trails were very well maintained and a good mix of flowing uphill and downhill.

Very nice park! Lots of walking trails. We have seen quit a few wildlife animals, so always be careful. We saw this Timber rattlesnake today while walking on the main street. Yikes!!!

Very beautiful! Walked in 1 mile to enjoy the off-leash dog park. Visitors Center is some information about the park, indoor restrooms & a nice lady giving out dog bisquits

Just stayed in Cleveland for two nights and I thought I’d take my grandson over there to ride his bike and oh my goodness did he ever have fun! So many trails I wish I had more time to venture out. But it was beautiful all the same.

I love this nature trail. There are easy and hard trails. Well maintained grounds, clean and overall nice paths. I've walked these trails often and introduced friends to the paths as an "intro to hiking". Highly recommended for all ages.

Bro, this is a nice place for nature right now. There's a lot of people you can meet out here. Very nice that like to run. They communicate well with you. She even let me run with her and we talked about 4k's for like a good cause. I saw deer, squirrel you name it in wildlife. One side of the roads for cars, the other side for people. They got restrooms that are very clean. They even got some Halloween stuff set up for like a spooky trail. The dog park is back in the woods and it's luxurious and has picnic tables where you can eat a sandwich. Thank you, Enterprise South nature trail!

Yelp
Such a beautiful nature park! We love coming here to ride our bikes and enjoy the outdoors with our dog. This park is well maintained, with restroom facilities, and offers easy hiking trails, paved paths to jog, walk, cycle, or push strollers. Keep in mind that if you walk on the area where vehicles can drive on, all pedestrians are supposed to be on a certain side of the road. Just follow all the signage and instructions around the park. The park staff are friendly, and it's nice that maps are provided in the welcome center as well as select map stations around the park. A police vehicle is stationed at the front and is occasionally seen patrolling the park. Another neat park feature of the park is the bunkers! We've found at least one open to view inside. Supposedly, the bunkers were used to store TNT. The cherry on top to this park, though, is the newly added dog park, Barks and Tails. Our dog LOVES it, and so do we. Enterprise South Nature Park is really wonderful and an easy place to enjoy a fun filled outing.

Yelp
After having quite a few people recommend Enterprise O finally made it on my last visit to TN. There are 11 different areas some have the option of biking, hiking, walking awhile some are only for pedestrians. Whenever you go the parking lot may be quite full. You definitely won't be the only one there. Poe Run Path is only for pedestrians is the trail I decided to take after seeing the bikers on a different trail. The bikers trails looked liked fun. There is also a business office open to the public. There you can find assistance and restrooms.

Yelp
Horse Trail: great as always. Been as far back at the 7 mile marker. Easy-medium in difficulty, but safe enough to trot/canter w/o worrying about horses tripping. Well maintained. Couple of suggestions: short cut through trails where if want can shorten trail if want to w/o having to got through brush and briers. Another suggestion is hitching rails back next to the water tank at the 7 mile marker.

Yelp
Looking for a new park to explore to break up COVID monotony? Check out Enterprise South Nature Park! The park is situated on almost 3k wooded acres that were previously a part of the Volunteer Army Ammunition Plant property (where ammunition was made for the Army beginning in the 1930s/40s). There are still several bunkers around the park that you can view. The park has several miles of paved trails (for pedestrians or bicycles), several miles of walking paths (for pedestrians only), and several miles of mountain bike trails (as well as horse trails). My mom and I hiked a couple of the trails this past weekend. We hiked the Hawks' Ridge trail to the Dogwood Ridge trail, which added up to about a 4-mile loop trail. It was really pretty, wooded, and shaded (we still started around 8 am because it's hot outside y'all). A note about COVID times: Yes, the parking lots were pretty full when we got there around 8/8:30 am on a Sunday morning in July 2020. But if you're worried that the park will be too crowded to maintain proper social distancing, don't be! Despite the parking lots being quite full, the park is large enough to allow for a lot of distance! In fact, we noticed that most people stayed on the paved paths/road, and we hardly saw anyone on the trails at all (maybe 4-5 people during our whole 2.5-hour hike)! (Not sure why people want to stay on the road and avoid the trails - rocky trails? The trails were no rockier than most trails in Tennessee and we didn't have any issues, but most people were definitely there to walk on the paved paths/roads. A lot of people are in the park to use the biking paths as well. We didn't feel it was crowded in the slightest at that time of day even if the parking lots were quite busy!) On our trails, we saw several deer and one of the bunkers. The trails we did were were of medium difficulty (in my opinion) - lots of elevation changes - and it was great exercise! I'll happily go back to explore a different area of this park when I'm next in Chattanooga! Great forest oasis in Chattanooga!

Yelp
This is a beautiful park. I've been here on a few occasions from just driving through the property, to checking out the old ammunition bunkers to even attending a baby shower. I actually work "next door" so to speak, at the VW plant so I have direct access to the place. It really is so pretty and quiet and well maintained. The trails are nice. You can walk, hike, bike or drive through the park. I love how the integrity of the surrounding area has been maintained. You do see lots of nature as well as animal life - deer, rabbits, squirrels, etc. It's an oasis and way to just wind down and relax.

Yelp
My second time visiting Enterprise South Nature Park. My first visit was with my son - we hiked several of the trails. The trails were well maintained and fun to explore. One of the trails had a pond with a couple of seats around the edge so you could just relax and listen and watch nature. Today's visit I brought the road bike. I love the layout with car parking. The cars will use the right lane only going in which completes full circle back to the entrance - the left lane is for pedestrians and cyclists. You never run out of places to ride your bike there. Paved trails for road bikes as well as off road trails for mountain biking. Also plenty of restrooms throughout the park.

Yelp
Military-style vaccination tents were a bit much. Tone it down, know your identity and stay in your lane. People enjoy going to the park to get away from the bs, not get hammered into submission.

Yelp
If your interested in a casual walk, trails, bicycle riding, or mountain biking this is a great spot. This is a Hamilton County Parks facility. It is well maintained by park officials and supporting volunteer organizations. Adjacent to the Volkswagen auto manufacturing plant and positioned on the former Volunteer Army Ammunition Plant site. The park is monitored by Rangers who patrol regularly. Alcoholic beverages are prohibited. Note- car break ins happen occasionally, so hide any valuables in the trunk. The park is pet friendly (leash required). You'll likely meet many nice people on the trails. Everyone is looking for an enjoyable experience in the outdoors. Please be responsible, pick up trash and clean up after your pets.
