We stayed here for 2 nights in December 2025. Our number 8 room the Condor had incredible views of the mountains. Eolo is a small boutique hotel with something like 12-15 rooms and there are many common spaces to relax and enjoy the views from different angles. Situated on a cattle ranch, part of the charm is the free ranging cows who wander around the property. We spent one day at the property enjoying an excellent horseback ride and afternoon hike.||Eolo is expensive but I think worth it because it is not in El Calafate town, but instead 30 minutes or so closer to the major attractions… this saves you 1hr-1.5hr per day just getting to places, and the food at Eolo is much better than any you can find in El Calafate itself. I would make sure that you haven’t least 3 full days if you stay in El Calafate, one day to do Perito Moreno glacier, one day to take the boat to Estancia Cristina and do the Fossil Canyon Hike of 12km, and one day to enjoy Eolo itself. ||Other things we liked about Eolo were the rooms and other small touches, like excellent linens, top notch tea and variety of those. This is really a 5-star hotel/experience. We also stayed at Explora Torres Del Paine and Eolo is better from a food, room quality, and service perspective. ||If I had anything to nitpick or improve, I would say that the steam room wasn’t hot enough, not the jacuzzi, so don’t really make much use of the small spa area. The stretch/gym area could easily be improved with a flat portable bench and just a couple more free weights. While the dining room has an epic view, it might have been nice to set up a communal table in the center.||Overall, if you can afford it, I like Eolo as the home base for El Calafate. The only other thing I would consider on a return trip is staying at Estancia Cristina itself.
