Ephraim Shores Resort

My husband and I have been staying here for our anniversary on and off for 40 years. We love the quite central location to all of Door County. It's the perfect spot to enjoy the view of the Bay and gorgeous sunsets. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. We also enjoy having the cherry pancakes for breakfast at the Sunset Harbor restaurant on the second floor. We will be back next year!

We stayed at the end of September. The check in lady was very warm and friendly. Our room had a partial water view and we loved sitting out and watching the sunsets. We also went up closer and enjoyed the space they have on the lakefront. The room was basic but very clean. Rug and bedding seemed newer and clean. I had a good sleep. The shower space was a little tight. They also left a packet of cherry raisins which I thought was a nice touch. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and can't wait to go back!

The room with the king-sized bed has two comfortable chairs, a TV, a microwave, coffee service, and a refrigerator. My husband and I hit it during the third week in October, when the weather is changeable and many services are shutting down either next week or November 2. The trees are beautiful, just changing to their full fall glory. With the lake in whitecaps because of wind and few tourists and people who fish, this is a great time to experience upper Door County.

A delightful spot to stay. Very clean and quaint. Brenda at front desk was very helpful in us changing rooms. The room we had rented had a balcony that looked onto the parking lot. We switched to a suite on first floor that had a balcony. We could also easily walk out to the chairs in the beautiful front yard. Views of the bay are great. My only criticism of the hotel was the very musty smell in the rooms. Of course, you get used to it when you are in there but when you walk in each time, it is bad. Maybe they need one of those scent things that go on the AC/heat unit. We had our door open all the time.|Enjoyed the restaurant too. The food was great and the owner was very friendly.

Stayed many many times. Nicest location, close by to everything. Everything was spotlessly clean. Weather was nice so we were able to ride the well- maintained bikes, and we launched our own kayaks right from their beach. We had a great long weekend.

This resort is the perfect location to be as this is basically the center of Door County of you're on the area to explore the northern section of Door County. We ended up getting last minute deal for a room (Deluxe Suite) which consisted of a hot tub we didn't use. The bathroom and shower was nice and roomy. We had rather see that there was a small table and chairs for 2 instead. The balcony was nice, but you'd be sitting in front of the air conditioner which would have hot air blowing on you. The WiFi was spotty at best. Even cell towers were spotty in that area of the hotel which was far back (north east) of the hotel, so one would not have much service to do business on mobile devices.

Just returned from 4 night stay at Ephraim Shores in the one-room first floor suite. Everything was great - accommodations exactly as described and pictured. Very clean and completely equipped. Check-in easy, desk host was very freindly and helpful. Highly recommended.

We have stayed in many many hotels around the US and I have to rate Ephraim Shores Resort, as one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in. Very clean, pool and hot top amazing. Service top notch. If you are thinking about heading to Door County, I recommend this resort. You will not be disappointed. I just wished I could stay longer.

We just finished our third stay at Ephraim Shores Resort. What can I say, they have it all, great service, beautiful location, convenient, sparkling clean room, good food, lake view, and friendly people. Another visit, another fine time. Clean, comfortable king room, indoor pool, lovely view of the Green Bay. You have to try the restaurant great food, fantastic service, nice owner

Great spot to stay right on the water in Ephraim. The rooms are always clean, spacious and the beds are comfortable. The staff are very friendly. The best part is the water view and the dock that guests have access to. Bring a couple of drinks and walk down to the water to see a sunset you won't regret. We've done take out on purpose to eat down by the water.

Great location on the shore of the harbor. Clean, quaint, friendly staff. We're already planning our next trip.

What a wonderful time. 1st time here was in middle of August; thought that was the best time but I have to say now is better than then. Came for fall festival and my birthday in late October. Best time ever to come, you can experience the trees as they turn to a magnificent array of color. The staff could not have been more friendly. Buffy and Lana were the friendliest I have ever encountered; ready to help anyway they can. Highly recommend, you must come.

Enjoyed our stay! Beautiful location right across the road from Lake Michigan. Will definitely be back.

The waterfront view is FANTASTIC! You can also sit out on the patio (reserved for patrons of the motel only!) RIGHT by the water to hang out any time, but I do think that Ephraim is the BEST place to see the sunset!! I have stayed here twice now, once with my mom and sister and once with my husband-- both with waterfront rooms (and the second time with the whirlpool room--comfortably seats two =))) and the beds are huge and comfortable--everything is clean--in my opinion, it really is the best location to stay in -- Ephraim is RIGHT in the middle of Door County and you're also close to Wilson's and Ephraim Town Hall where you can see American Folklore Theater in the fall ("Guys and Does" was HILARIOUS!!!)-- The ONLY qualms I have are that the coffee provided in the rooms is not very good and the Second Story Restaurant's omelettes were kind of watery and I'm not sure if they used real eggs and also, my sister accidentally left something in our room and called to ask if they could send it to her. They agreed to, but sent it COD! We thought that was tacky! But, I will definitely return again--I cannot express how beautiful the waterfront view is--and how cute and clean and comfortable the rooms are!!!! Also, they have many colorful, pretty pictures in the hallways and a gameroom with a pool table, a Gold Wings motorcycle pinball machine, a racing car video game machine and a couple of other games--plus a nice pool!!! And the people at the front desk are very friendly and helpful in giving you directions and feedback about places to go in the area!!!

Good value, clean rooms. Right by the lake, great spot right in front to see the sunset. Right next to Wilson's :) I was happy

Perfectly clean. We had a queen size suite with a view. Nice and quiet. The rooms are well supplied. Nice sitting area on the water for guests. We had a first floor room that walks right out. Very nice. The rooms looked exactly like the web site so you know what you are getting. The staff was friendly and helpful. Cable TV and free Wifi. No DVD player. We didn't try the restaurant.

What a gem!!! We rented a 1 bedroom apartment with a full kitchen and found it to be spotless and fully furnished. Maid service was outstanding. Bathroom was fully updated. Our unit was second story with a private balcony that faced the water and the sunsets were breathtaking. The room rate was very reasonable as I reviewed several locations in the same area that offered less space for a significantly higher rate. Several excellent restaurants and activities within walking distance.

Stay here at least twice per year. Nice rooms with a view of the harbor - right across the road. Private viewing area at the water's edge - to watch the sunset. Nice, clean rooms. Great Wifi. Convenient parking. An enjoyable stay -- as always.

This place must have 4 1/2 stars for its accommodations, but definitely not for the food. It is a small restaurant above the lobby. The decor is aged and the table cloths are vinyl. The food is lax diner quality.
