Not sure if this is listed as 5 star or 4 but definitely more of a 4 if it’s the former. |The room style, decor and size would feel a lot more up scale if it wasn’t for the awful green colour scheme, it really cheapens the aesthetic. Things in general feel dated. The TVs are not smart TVs, no additional apps or features on them just basic channels. The mini fridge is completely empty besides two milks, found the coffee/tea facilities to be poor. The room service food was actually a very good standard, choice is very limited for snacks and small plates. First night room service answered quickly but then not at all the next time. |The cleaning is throughout the day, this was great because we were out of our room and all different times and it always got cleaned well and water replaced at night.|A lot of the sunbeds and balcony furniture is a bit worn out, you can get to the bed service at the pools which is great, the beach is also amazing. |Breakfast choice is great. Good cocktails.|The only reason I’m giving a lower rating is because for what it is the price we ended up paying was obnoxious, we would absolutely not have paid it if we didn’t have to be here for a wedding.

Before leaving for Portugal I read some terrible reviews of the Epic Sana so I lowered my expectations. But now, after our visit, I can't imagine what prompted negative reviews. We had the best experience there!|The room was great, the only drawback was the hard mattress. It was immaculately clean and totally quiet. No noise from anywhere. We had a distant, but pretty, view of the ocean and a lovely balcony. |What made our stay so special was the staff. Especially:|Rita at Lima - please thank Rita for taking the time and care to accommodate my request for a vegetarian meal on the night that there was a special event dinner in the restaurant. Rita was so friendly and on top of things. The dinner that night was a highlight of our trip - so much fun!|Tiago at the Open Deck restaurant by the pool - please thank Tiago for saving us the sardines that we noticed just after finishing lunch. He held on to them and prepared them for us for a late afternoon meal because we wanted to try them. How thoughtful!|We also enjoyed the location of the hotel. We walked along the cliffs to Vilamoura. A gorgeous, but not well marked area. The walk down to the beach was easier than I expected. I think it was 144 steps?|Our room was called Deluxe Ocean View... the ocean is far away but you can see it.|Thanks for a fantastic stay! I will post separate reviews for the hotel restaurants.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful resort-style hotel. The rooms were spacious, clean, and very comfortable, and the entire property was meticulously maintained. The beach was stunning—soft sand, clear water, and a relaxing vibe. Just note that the beach chairs aren’t included; rentals range from €50–€100, so keep that in mind when planning your day by the water. The resort has multiple outdoor pools, as well as a nice indoor pool for cooler days. The gym is open 24 hours, which is great, but it’s a bit small for the size of the resort and tends to get busy—go early if you want to avoid the crowd. The breakfast buffet had a good selection and was a solid start to each day. We tried the lunch menu once—it was decent, though more basic resort fare than we expected. Still, nothing to complain about. Overall, this is a fantastic resort with beautiful grounds and great amenities. We’d definitely come back and recommend it to others looking for a relaxing and comfortable getaway.

Lovely resort, excellent facilities including pools. Access to a beautiful beach. Most of the restaurant and bar staff are very pleasant and helpful. ||Unfortunately they didn’t inform us that they no longer have a tennis court. We had booked this hotel solely for that purpose as my kids love tennis. The reception staff tried to help by booking a court at a hospital opposite the resort but both hotels made a number of mistakes in that booking. ||Half board dinner options are very limited. Buffet is really good but not great for 8 nights. Breakfast buffet is the same everyday, even the cakes/ pastries don’t change.

This is our 3rd time staying at Epic Sana and once again we had the best time. Everything about this hotel is amazing. The staff are incredible and not just a few them, they are all so helpful and friendly. There are a few things that need refurbishment in the hotel but mostly cosmetic. The sun-beds and cushions by the pool could do with being replaced. The rooms could do with a little update. But these are small things. We love Epic Sana and can't wait to come back next year.

From the moment we arrived, our experience at Epic Sana Algarve was nothing short of incredible. If you’re looking for a luxury escape in the Algarve, this is the place to be. With three outdoor pools, beautifully kept grounds, an array of excellent restaurants, and just a short walk to the beach, it offers everything you could possibly want.||We stayed in the Residences, in the Suite Home, which gave us the flexibility of having brunch as well as our half-board package — perfect for us. The suite itself was spacious, spotless, and well-equipped, with daily housekeeping carried out to the highest standard.||The staff here truly set the hotel apart. Every single member of the team works tirelessly to make sure your stay is special. I’d like to give particular thanks to Silvia, who runs the Lima restaurant with such energy and care, and even saved my sunglasses one morning after brunch. Celcio, also in Lima, always remembered our coffee order and made sure it arrived exactly when we needed it. Bruno and his kitchen team ensured every dinner was freshly prepared and delicious. And the cleaning staff around our room were simply outstanding — their hard work did not go unnoticed.||The little touches made our stay feel even more luxurious — from a bottle of water on arrival, to fresh fruit in the room, to the thoughtful evening turndown service.||Whether you’re a family, a couple, or a solo traveller, I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. Everyone is made to feel welcome, and the level of service and quality is exceptional.||We’ll definitely be back — it was the perfect luxury getaway in the Algarve.

We booked the Suite for a family of four and it was very spacious and clean with a kitchenette and dining area, mini TV lounge and two bathrooms with ample towels, slippers, gowns and small touches at turn down chocolates and bottled drinking water.||Transfers were booked with the hotel and were excellent and on time.||Although there is no direct access to the beach, which we thought would be private, the walk down on a suspended wooden walk-way is very scenic but a little crowded. There are 3 pools one on the suites side and two on the main rooms side (one is an adults only pool)||I used the Spa for a massage and facilities of the swimming pool/steam/sauna are allowed for Spa guests, sadly I did not have time for all! The treatment itself was 4/5 for the high charges for treatments.||The food and cuisine at breakfast and Brunch were very good with ample variety.||We would like to thank Rita and Sylvia the hostesses at our restaurant and Larysa and Jose who were very hard working and pleasant waiters. A special thank you to Elsa in Reservations who responded swiftly and organised our booking.||Epic Sana made our short beach holiday very memorable in the Algarve 🩵

Incredible hotel, the room is beautiful. The bed is probably the comfiest bed I’ve ever lay on. The bathroom is amazing, the shower is unbelievable. The pools are large and extremely clean. The service at this hotel is 10/10. Everyone is so friendly and kind. They make sure to make you feel welcome. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone who can afford to stay here. Obviously it’s expensive but it’s a 5 star hotel so of course it would be. They have multiple restaurants all of which have been delicious. Especially Al Quimia. Will be back next time in Portugal.
