Had the grilled octopus, fried cheese balls, local white wine. The grilled octopus was to die for… simple and exploding with flavor with every bite. I was surprised with some watermelon at the end of dinner which was refreshing and helped cleanse the pallet. Must try if you are in Tinos city center. The ambience was great, Greek music playing in the background.

Nice and very clean place in a beautiful location. Here we tried delicious beans and fresh Greek salad. Personal thank you to a very polite English speaking waitress who helped us also to find a bus stop. This is definitely a place where we want to come back if we visit Tinos next time.

Exceptional Culinary Delight at Epineio Taverna, Tinos In the realm of Greek culinary experiences, few establishments capture the essence of authenticity and simplicity quite like Epinio Taverna in Tinos. Renowned for its dedication to traditional flavors and warm hospitality, this taverna, run by the charismatic brothers Nikos and Nikiforos, is a beacon for those seeking genuine Greek cuisine. Upon entering Epinio, it is immediately evident that this is a place where passion meets expertise. Chef Nikos, the culinary wizard behind the scenes, crafts dishes that are both hearty and refined. His creations echo the rich culinary heritage of Greece, offering diners a taste of tradition with a modern twist. The highlight of our meal was undoubtedly the agginarokeftedes (artichoke balls), which were an explosion of flavor and texture, perfectly seasoned and cooked to golden perfection. Nikiforos, the maître de la salle, exudes an infectious enthusiasm that enhances the dining experience. His cheerful and friendly demeanor is complemented by a keen sense of discretion, ensuring that guests feel both welcomed and respected. His knowledge of the menu and the local produce is impressive, guiding diners through a culinary journey with ease and grace. Our table servant, Giota, was the epitome of attentive service. Her presence was a perfect blend of professionalism and warmth, ensuring that every aspect of our dining experience was flawless. From timely refills to insightful recommendations, Giota's service elevated our evening to one of sheer perfection. Among the many delights on offer, the bifteki (mince patty) stood out as the best on the island. Succulent and bursting with flavor, it was a testament to Chef Nikos's skill and dedication to his craft. Each bite was a celebration of high-quality ingredients and expert preparation. In an age where dining experiences can often feel contrived or overly complex, Epineio Taverna is a refreshing return to what truly matters: exceptional food, heartfelt hospitality, and an ambiance that makes you feel at home. For those in search of a true, authentic Greek taverna experience, Epineio is a destination not to be missed. This hidden gem in Tinos has earned its place as a must-visit, leaving an indelible mark on the culinary landscape of the island.

Fantastic restaurant option, in the heart of town. Very nice, seaside platia and great, traditional Greek food. They do both grilled food and cooked meals very well. Today, the Epineo salad and stuffed cabbage leaves were outstanding (as was the grilled food). And the staff is very friendly and attentive. Will continue to visit here regularly on my visits to Tinos .

Ate here 3 times, the first two evenings choosing meze to have with drinks, the third to have a meal on our last night in Tinos. The food kept us coming back - wonderful dips, zucchini balls, artichoke in lemon sauce and loukanika. Friendly staff and good house wine. A lovely setting, too. We will miss it! Thank you, Epineio.

Great authentic food, with lots of local Tinian options, and fast friendly service. The saganaki was one of the best I’ve had in Greece! The Tinian sausage was also very good, grilled well and presented beautifully. Completely recommend
