Ghent Is Challenging Antwerp as Belgium’s Capital of Cool | Vogue

"Candle-lit ambience and a film-set-fantastical atmosphere make this slow-food restaurant one of the most evocative corners of Ghent’s veg-forward scene, serving plant-centric dishes in a space that feels whimsical and theatrical while still intimate." - Lindsay Cohn

Everything is gluten free and lactose free. Probably some of the most creative food we ate in Europe outside of Michelin starred places we ate at. We did the tasting menu. All vegetarian, you can optionally add meat but I feel this takes away from what the place is trying to serve. Only negative was the pacing between dishes was a bit uneven - should be more spaced evenly (some dishes long and some dishes speedy). Other than that, it was a fantastic experience and very safe.

Very nice dedicated vegan and gluten free restaurant. We had the set menu so we tried a lot of their dishes and they all were well done with unique flavors and creative use of ingredients. We did feel like their fall menu had a bit too much root vegetables and sugar, so be careful if you are watching your sugar intake. Also, they have some amazing alcohol free wines (which are better than their regular wines in our opinion).

A top-class vegan restaurant. You can enjoy a delicious dinner on two floors in an old building. The ambiance is a blend of baroque and modern ruin with plenty of coziness. The service is prompt and attentive to guests. Reservations are mandatory. The menu offers truly fantastic vegan dishes without gluten. And the food is truly flavorful. Non-vegan add-ons can also be ordered if desired. I think this approach is very good, as it also attracts non-hardcore vegans and makes them realize that there are good vegan dishes available. Which brings us to the topic of why I had to deduct a star. The kitchen was really disorganized today and had no control over its processes. We didn't get our food for two hours (120 minutes). The wait staff noticed this and were very upset. So, as compensation, we received a bottle of wine and a digestif on the house. We were pleased about that and avoided three stars. It's a shame, because the restaurant and the food are amazing.

How the food was presented was beautiful. The staff was also ultra friendly and I sincerely liked the dishes served. We went for the 'Share an Epiphany'. What I love as well is the fun names for dishes like "Leek of Faith". Furthermore, I liked the athomsphere of the place; very unique style. The reason why it received only 3 stars is because of the price category it's in. The quality of the dishes is good, but with this price range I expect the taste to be more unique or mouth watering, and that was not the case for us. Still, I recommend to go. Since overall we had a great evening here.

I'd recommended this place for a chilled vibe, some inventive cooking, and interesting wines. We had the vegan tasting menu plus the addition dishes of prawns and Holstein beef carpaccio. The prawns were a bit average but the capaccio (which I didn't eat) was excellent according to the meat eaters at the table. The vegan dishes were some of the best I've tasted with good variety - with different flavours and textures, some earthy, some fresh. Service was a little slow particularly at the end, and the staff forgot we had the matching wines. Only a couple of things that stop this from being 5 stars. Give it a go!

I'm not vegan or vegetarian but since I've read that Ghent is the vegetarian capital of Europe, I thought I had to give it a try and I am so glad I did. Both the grilled carrot dish with chimichurra and the pasta with the mushroom sauce were absolutely delicious. Service was wonderful and the space is GORGEOUS. Also, although they are plant-based, they offer to add dairy, beef and seafood items e.g. cheese, shrimp, beef to various dishes if you wish. I had them add parmesan to my pasta.

Google
Delicious plant based restaurant, I like the concept, the staff were very friendly. i liked that everything is vegan and you can add either meat or fish to your meal if you want. Just heads up for the iced tea its litteraly a cold tea so it wasnt the typical iced tea that we know of and a bit tasteless so I couldnt finish it, other than that everything was nice

Exquisite cuisine! We celebrated a family event here and loved both the atmosphere and the food. The service was friendly, and the laid-back ambiance made for a relaxed experience. Each dish from the tasting menu arrived at the perfect pace and was a small masterpiece of flavor and texture. The non-cheese fondue and shiitake "oysters" were just two of the many delightful surprises. Highly recommended!

Yelp
What a delicious vegan surprise! Amazing ambiance with soft lighting and plant based decor throughout the space. Attentive staff and a lovely menu. While it's vegan they do offer proteins for any dish (chicken, beef, seafood). Large cocktail and mocktail menu for any taste. Recommend reservations as they get busy quickly or be at the door at 6:30 pm sharp to roll the dice on a walk-in. Bread was gluten free as well and was delicious. So many options that will make everyone happy.

Yelp
We got the tasting menu which had several creative and delicious items. The first six courses came out at a pretty good pace and then everything fell apart. We never received one course and we waited over an hour for one ravioli. We had to ask for the dessert to go because we had to catch the last train to Antwerp. The restaurant is in an old building and the decor inside was nice. Sadly, a very nice dinner ended on such a sour note.

Yelp
Lovely restaurant with beautiful and tasty vegan food, delicious mock-tails and great service in the heart of Ghent. What a nice experience to be able to experiment a nice plant based fine dining.

Yelp
The concept of all the dishes being plant based with the possibility of adding animal protein as an extra has been a long time coming. This is something that really works well for a mixed group of vegan, vegetarian, and omnivorous guests. No one is forced to compromise and except that there food is an afterthought for the chef. The service was friendly and efficient. The wine list was not extensive but fine for the setting, Everything came together well for a great dining experience,

Yelp
In a city with as many great restaurants as Ghent, it is tough to stand out. This place does! Our group started as 2, grew to 4, 8, and eventually 14. They were very accommodating and fit us in, albeit at 2 tables. Everyone loved their dishes. Most had a pasta dish (note the amazing gluten-free options!). I had the green pizza. It was amazing! Definitely one of the most delicious and unique dishes I've had in awhile. I added the salmon, which was an incredible topping too, but honestly next time I'd go without it. The pizza with asparagus, broccoli, radishes, etc was perfect without. We shared chocolate cherries dish for dessert. Another unique and very tasty choice. I can't wait to return.

Yelp
A very nice place! Gorgeous interior, very friendly host and staff, overall great atmosphere. Truly a great spot for relaxing, and enjoying the passionately created dishes. Not cheap, but definitely worth it!
