Great food + great wine! Highly recommend stopping by -- they were so kind to seat us without a reservation. The octopus dish was one of the best preperations of octopus I've ever had. Highly recommend stopping by for a bite.

We found this place after a long day exploring on our way back to our hotel. The staff was lovely, welcoming when we had no reservation, and the atmosphere was beautiful. Then the food came and it took a lovely experience to a whole different level. We ordered the buratta, light, flavorful and refreshing, then the cacio e pepe, which was packed with incredible flavor from the Parmesan used and the amount of sauce alongside perfectly al dente pasta was delightful. The second main dish we had was the lemon linguini, and upon first glance, I honestly thought maybe I ordered wrong… then I had a bite and was instantly blown away- words cannot describe the amount of flavor in such a “simple” sounding dish. A beautiful meal, with exquisite flavor - bravo to the chef. Bellissimo. 👏👏

We needed a table for 11 people on Christmas Day with no booking made. We were desperate, we found this place on open table they had a table for us so we came to try it. This may be an unpopular opinion, but I think great Italian food does not exist or maybe it is too effing difficult to come by. The food we had was good not great. Meat ball in marinara sauce was well done with a tasty tomato sauce. But lacked a wow factor. The misto fritto was what you would expect. Crunchy but tasteless. Shame there was no dipping sauce. The crunchy artichoke was really the star dish! Never had artichoke done like that! The main dishes were less appealing: Tagliatelle bolognaise average not wow. The tomato sauce was good not great. Lacked the umami taste I always dream a bolognaise sauce to deliver. The polpo was the worst we had in years. So chewy we returned the plate. *4 glasses of wine* The vitello milanaise was ok did not have anything special. Would I come back, not necessarily, as everything was average not great. But maybe it is just me with Italian food, I cannot get over the food experience I had in Rome and nothing I had since compares.

Chanced upon this place. It’s exactly what we love - low key, cosy, chill vibes in the hood, excellent food and wine. Nothing touristy or over the top. Dog friendly too

That’s a great Italian restaurant. Nothing unique here but fresh products, tasty, amazing service. There is not an extensive list of items on the menu but you’ll find what you love there. One of the particular thing at Epoca is that they serve gigantic dishes, it is super copious so be sure to be hungry.

The food is absolutely brilliant - nothing to complain about. Service was ok but not super friendly imo, felt like we were intruding.

Had a great lunch there. The food was excellent. It's a lovely cozy spot worth checking out. Easy reservation on zenchef via their website. We had the burrata and popetti to start. Also had the cacio peppe which were all delicious.

Terrible experience here. Food was so so. I only remember the capaccio, the rest was not impressive compare to the price and the terrible service. a big guy, i dont know that he was staff or the owner .. so bad, I cant imagine that in French, we can have that bad attitude.

Yelp
Having read an article in the NYTimes, I'll admit I had relatively high expectations. I am generally a very positive reviewer but I am compelled to service my fellow foodie looking for a special Italian spot in the maze of Paris options. This is not your spot! Under experienced wait staff, gloomy geo spot, and most disappointing of all, salty and unimpressive food. Although they proclaim the mozz is made on site with French milk, there isn't much boasting this supposed asset. We ordered the fried mozz and it was average at best. We tried the puttanesca as our next (and final!) dish and it was so salty we could barely get through it. The wine redeemed the experience to an average rating overall. Why would a great chef let this happen? I hope some adjustments are made accordingly.

Yelp
Excellent Italian cuisine. On a small street in the 6th district, Epoca is worth the visit. After sharing a couple of appetizers (fried artichoke, meatballs, etc), alongside foccacia and Peronis, we ordered the seabass tartare, the grilled octopus, truffle raviolis. Wine was Barbera d'Alba. Desserts were excellent: Affogato, Profiteroles, Tiramisu. Finished with expressos and Pistachio liquor. Bill came at EUR55 per person.

Yelp
Very tasty. Fried artichoke was delicious. For vegan options, they prepared a couple of the sides: mushrooms, spinach. They said the potato purée could be made vegan, but I could taste the butter and heavy cream, and it was one of the most delicious things I've ever put in my mouth.
